  • Cervical fluid can be overwhelming when you first start charting, but it is such a big indicator of fertility that I think it's the most important sign to chart. Let's chat about some ways to tell the differences between the different types.

    This channel is honestly my bible into the FAM world. You make me feel like i'm not some sort of irresponsible freak who will obviously get pregnant, but a woman who is simply sick of pumping her body with artificial hormones. Thank you!

      how has it worked for you? I'm so ready to get off the pill and am in the beginning phases of my research about to start some books and stuff before I get off.

      tay5250 Yes! 2 years later and I’ve had no scares or problems along the way. The book ‘taking charge of your fertility’ by Toni Welscher is a great starting place :)

    It's crazy to think how little this is talked about in real life. I am a lot older now and well aware of cervical fluid, but as a young girl I thought that there was something wrong with me, like you said an infection of some sort. I even went to the Doctors and explained to them what I experienced and they just checked me for infection and said I was fine. It wasn't up until I starting learning on my own about my body that I realized what the heck it was that I experienced. You'd think that this would be something that is talked about. I just watched your newer video as well (why we should teach our daughters) and I think it is so important that we do teach them so they are aware of these changes and don't automatically assume something is wrong with them.

    So happy that you talk about this stuff. I've always been very self conscious about the fluids and different phases thinking I was some freak and this didn't happen to other women.

    Perfect video. I love that you also tied in Kindara into the discussion, since that's the app and thermometer that i use. Their chart looks slightly different than TCOYF, so it's nice to hear that explained.

    Thanks for your videos. I’m slowly watching them all while I’m finishing off my last couple months left of birth control pills. I’ve been on it for over 10 years. I’m super skeptical of stopping but I really want to get to know myself. Downside: I don’t know what menstruel cramps feel like and not looking forward to finding out. Thanks for the inspiration and all your insight

    Hey :) I have a question about checking the cervical fluid...usually in my luteal phase, I will experience a diference between what I see/feel in my underwear and what I actually check myself. What should I “believe” or take as determinative?

    Okay, so it may be TMI, but just started charting, and I have a question. The first day after my period ended, I had sticky cervical fluid, then the next day, it went to the super fertile, slippery, stretchy, egg white fluid. However, my cycles are generally 34 days (I have been tracking my period on its own for years), so I shouldn't be ovulating for another week or two. Is this normal? From what I see, I should only get this fluid right before ovulation.

    Hi Victoria! Would you recommend to use panty liners for tracking your cervical fluid? I use them every day (except for my menstruation days) because I hate the feeling of wetness and also discharge ruins my underwear pretty quickly. But I'm not sure if panty liners are good for tracking? Any advice /opinion on this?

    • @ccap3211
      @ccap3211 6 років тому

      prdaAndy as long as you don't get yeast infections I don't think it should be an issue. I know it's recommended to wear thin cotton underwear so your vagina can "breathe" so wearing pantyliners all the time would prevent that which wouldn't be good for someone who is prone to yeast infections, But if you don't ever get yeast infections then I wouldn't worry about it!

    Hi there 👋🏻 I am about to start FAM. One of my subscribers has pointed me in your direction! Loving the FAM videos so far. I do have a couple of questions. 1. How can you tell the difference between cervical fluid and semen if you’re having unprotected sex? And 2. How does FAM work for someone with irregular ovulation? The one time I finally managed to pinpoint my ovulation (with OPKs).. it was the day after my period finished. Can I still use FAM? 😬 Thank you!

    Question: how can you tell the difference between your dry days and days when you have the wet, saliva-consistency type of cervical fluid? Because the vagina/cervix usually has moisture all the time, right? So if I pull my finger out and it’s wet, it could be either a dry day or a wet day...right? This is stressing me out 😕

    • @kyleecrook171
      @kyleecrook171 5 років тому

      I think if its just damp, with no discharge on your finger, youre infertile.
