I used to feel such a huge difference between my energy levels, during workouts, in different phases. I beat myself up over it for years and then it finally hit me that it could be related to my cycle. I looked it up and it turned out that it is a thing. I read quite a lot about cycle syncing and the part, where I’d have to either drop weight training completely or workout with much lower weights in the luteal phase sounded like a nightmare because I didn’t want to compromise my training. Thankfully, I found a loophole! I drink coffee before my workouts in the second half of my luteal phase and the first half of my menstrual phase (I work out every other day). I don’t consume caffeine in any other form (not even tea) on any other days to keep my body sensitive to it.
I felt this frustration last month, I couldn't understand why in the first part of the month I fell so incredible and strong and the second part of the month I wasn't as strong or motivated in the gym. After gathering some information about the hormonal flactuation I'm no longer beating myself up, I decided to be kind to myself.
I used to hate myself when I couldn't work out as much as I could the previous day! I starting thinking. Hey? I'm a female and I go through a 28 day cycle. .. There must be some merit to that? So I decided to do research and boy did I not regret it. The first channel I found was missfit and nerdy! She was so informative
Definitely gone learn do this. I am sure it makes you feel spiritually connected to your womanhood and love and heal and take care of mental health and body. This inspires me and intrigues me. ❤❤
I started learning more about cycle syncing and educating myself on the benefits this past year and it's definitely something I think women should know more about, especially since school systems (i.e. health classes) do not explore all the complexities of the female body! When I learned about it, it made it so much easier to give myself grace during my menstrual cycle and understand why I my anxiety would peak during certain weeks, or my energy levels would decline, etc. Thank you for sharing! This makes me even more excited to continue my journey on cycle syncing ❤
Tx for sharing! I'm educating myself for cycle syncing because my cramps are HORRIBLE! Your sharing that part of your experience gives me hope! So, ty! ❤
I stumbled upon this randomly through auto-play after my workout :D. But WOW, this totally blew my mind! Who knew cycle syncing your workout and diet was even a thing?! I'm jumping right into this because I've experienced all the symptoms you talked too. Thanks for sharing this awesome info!
A very rough month of crying spells, breaking out, body aches and extreme bloating brought me here. I'm realizing now I don't know enough about my body and its making me unstable and stressed when I don't have to be. Thank you, for your videos 💓
Loved hearing your thoughts Kyla especially the mental health part. I felt that too since starting to cycle sync my workouts. But you should do a video talking about your pain free period!
Thanks for speaking about this topic and so happy to hear about your benefits! I’m also working on my diet and exercise routines during my cycle but feel like stress is minimising many of the benefits I could get - I guess managing stress is an everyday thing 😅
Praise God and the Lord Jesus Christ! 🙏🏼🕊️🤍 Thank you for sharing this information He blessed you the wisdom and knowledge to share. I hope you and your family have a blessed day! 🙏🏼❤️
Kyla I really really enjoyed watching today's video so so much and I love your vlogs so so much you are my inspiration and I wish you have a beautiful Friday🙂💝💫
great video!! Ive been aware of this for a while and have applied this to my life with food, work, rest and other things but not exercise yet. this week I am trying out doing pilaes/bodyweight exercises instead of heavy weights bc im in my leutal phase, I think it will be good!
The Lord has been healing me from my issue of blood thru my honoring of the body he gave me and the role He put me in as a daughter and a sister. Not that I’m perfect at either, but operating under His design❤
I feel like my is broken, i cant do situps without my back hurting so it says squats can help so i do squats but boom more back pain. Honestly working out seems so overwhelming and i hate myself when i work out because my body isnt doing these things without hurting.
While I have not had a baby yet, I learned about this in my pre/post natal certification course and that is normal after birth! Your actual period won't return for a few weeks or months after giving birth and the timeline largely depends on whether or not you're breastfeeding. If it’s been almost a year or over, I would definitely consult your doctor 🫶🏼
I have a question for you. I have just gotten into cycle syncing in the past year and am trying to synchronize my workouts/nutrition but find that my phases don’t line up like others do. For example, I have the most energy and the lowest appetite during my menstrual/follicular phases, and the lowest energy and highest appetite during my ovulatory/luteal phases. Have you ever heard of this?
That is pretty typical actually. You should have more of an appetite during luteal, your metabolism goes up during this time. You can eat more and work out less during this time. Also, do NOT go low carb during this time. Your body wants healthy carbs during this time. As soon as your period starts, you can intermittent fast, eat low carb, and make sure to eat higher fiber if eating low carb.
@kylabeland I also have a question about hair loss! I watched one of your videos awhile back about overdoing it at the gym and then you were losing a lot of hair. Have you heard of telogen effluvium? I think my hair is going through this due to stress. Do you remember how long before you started growing your hair back? I'm feeling alone in this at times, but I'm learning how to heal
Yes! One of the main causes of TE is stress whether that physical stress, mental stress, or both. It typically happens a few months after the big stressor (like giving birth/postpartum or losing a loved one) everybody’s body is definitely different in terms of growing hair back and stop shedding but with good consistent habits you should see results within a couple months. You are not alone!! I’ve been through it many times in my life from being bullied in middle school to coming off birth control to getting Covid and more. It’s part of life sadly but keeping your stress (physical and mental) down during these times is key! Hope that helps 🫶🏼
A 15 min add for a 39$ pdf guide :( not everything on the internet can be free, but this video itself had not really much to offer or substance than “oh look how much better i feel” (no performance data or comparisons or anything useful like tips after 1 year) and the “here is my guide, bye it”
Read the title of the video. It clearly states what the video is about: MY experience with cycle syncing. And not all results have to be physical hence why there is no “data.” Also, I made and sell ONE guide while I have over 100 videos with FREE information.
I understand that cycle syncing helped with your negative symptoms, but if your periods were that painful maybe you should look into endometriosis or PCOS. I believe that cycle syncing works and it does help with symptoms from those diseases, but the general woman should not have that much pain on their period regardless of how out of sync their hormones are.
Great info all women should consider. But I think it should be a lit bit more organized and concentrated. Or incorporate more photos. The info is very useful though. Thank you
As I mentioned in the beginning of the video, I have way more in depth videos of each phase of the menstrual cycle in my cycle syncing playlist that has photos and graphs. This video was just my personal thoughts.
@@constancia4933 because all of my UA-cam videos that I spend hours on are free and this guide took me a whole year and it’s my business/job and I have bills to pay.

I feel so.... Not smart. I'm a 37 year old woman who until today has never heard of cycle syncing! Amazing video! Thank you!!!
You are smart! Somebody who isn’t smart wouldn’t even care to take new information or learn! It’s never to late 🩷

I don't even want to do Pilates before my period LOL. Like 3-5 days before the lazies are reallll.

I am having such a hard time post partum with my period it's irregular it lasts weeks! And I need help 😫

I want to cycle sync but my cycle is so irregular! No PCOS or Endo. Just cycles lasting 40-70 days
Could be a hormonal imbalance causing it! I would definitely get blood work done by your doctor 👍🏼💛
I wonder how this works for my with a shorter cycle

Is this applicable if i take pills?
No, unfortunately. You should get the book “In the FLO”! When you’re on the pill, you don’t have a cycle (even if you bleed).
cool

When you start to menstruate 😊
