I think it’s important to note that it is possible to work different shifts fix as a nurse and measure your temp and rely on it, if you just measure it after the same amount of sleep. So not necessarily at the same time of day, but after 6-8 hours of sleep. Works great for me.

(sorry I'm about 2 years late to the party here but...) I'm a super restless sleeper and even if my alarm is set for 7 and I wake up at that time most days, about 1 day a week I wake u around 5am and can't fall back asleep! Should I just take my temp right when I wake up on those days?

As someone who has a circadian rhythm disorder, this is true! For me, at least. I was surprised how taking my BBT actually worked for me. This cycle it seems like I ovulated on CD10 (possibly CD13) based on BBT and that my fluid dried up, so I had to click on this video when I saw it on the front page.

"Leave your vagina alone!" That made me lol for real, 😂
But in being serious, I love your videos! They have been so helpful as I just got off HBC and started charting in December. 😊

They recommend evening primrose oil when you are pregnant and getting close to delivery as well. It’s supposed to help with elasticity, help labor start naturally, and few other things.

I’ve heard that consuming probiotics/fermented foods is good for your fluid as well. Thoughts?

I'm hearing contradicting things about when to take the temperature - on the one hand I'm told that if I've slept two hours more or less then that can mess with my temperature, but on the other hand it needs to be at the same time every day. I have quite an irregular sleeping pattern so if I were to take my temperature at 6am every day, some days I would have slept eight hours and some days I would have slept about three or four. But if I set an alarm for always six hours after I fall asleep, that could be anywhere from 6am to 10am. So which is the more important?

Great video. I love using my daysy & knew the tips of Basel temp but didn’t know all the things that could help and hurt your fluid!
P.S. Where is your shirt from?

#14: Laxatives. I imagine these are on the list because some laxatives work by drawing fluid back into the stool from surrounding tissues. Thus, I would assume laxatives can dry up your cervical fluid?

Are BBT readings likely to be inaccurate if you’ve got a baby/toddler still waking that you’re getting up to in the night?

How much movement is "allowed" when taking your temperature. I've only recently started doing it but am having some anxiety about it bc as soon as I wake up I panic a little thinking oh I have to take my temperature but I'm not like fully fully awake I wanna keep half sleeping for a while until my alarm.
Is that okay? Like I'm not asleep but I'm not awake and moving around or anything I'm just semi conscious and still. Can I stay like that until my alarm?

Im also new to this but I would say it does (If anyone who is experienced knows, please correct me!) just because you're moving around and you don't really want to mess with the lowest temperature? :(

Personally I don't know and I'm very new to this but I've always noticed that as soon as I wake up I start feeling warmer (always been very sensitive to changes in my body haha), so if this is actually normal maybe just take your temps as soon as you wake up
Or maybe do an experiment. What if you try to take your temp as soon as you wake up AND then when the alarm rings (staying in bed the whole time ofc) and see if there's a big difference?
(Just a wild guess and advice here haha)

Since learning about BBT I wondered if it would work for me because I am a restless sleeper and often am awake for many hours throughout the night. And now I have a baby that nurses throughout the night and I don't always fall back asleep between nursing sessions. I so badly want to have a natural family planning method that is effective and really wanted to track my temp and fluid. Is just checking fluids and cervix position as effective as taking temp? And do I have to check at the same time every day? I haven't gotten my period back since having my baby yet but am no wanting to get pregnant again yet. Maybe you have a video on this already, sorry if I'm asking a question you've already answered that I haven't found yet!

I think the billings method only accounts for cervical fluid, maybe you'd like to look into that :)
Also if you have the money, tempdrop could be a good solution for your case
      Hope this helps :))

Hi femmehead! :) I recently started charting and have been taking my temperature for like half a cykle now but my temperature does not go the Way you (and others discribe, the low temperatures first and then higher with ovulation and than staying high). My temperaturen had one spike where around ovulation but then it dropped back down again, and went even lower. My room is very cold and I live in Sweden. Most Days when I wake up in the morning I am freezing, could that effect my temperatures? Cause I have a regular cycle, its been that what for years (have been using copper iud and now nothing) so I have had a regular cycle for like 3 years maybe more so I am suprised that the temperatures does not match. Hope you can give me some answers. Ps. I wanna say that I am charting to avoid pregnancy, but want to get pregnant in the future.
Thanks and thank you for a great channel!! 😍😍

If your room is consistently cold that shouldn’t mess with your temperature pattern. It’s hard to judge it from around two weeks of taking your temperature. My advice to continue charting your temps and keep an eye on it.

Hey! I truly love your videos, and as well like the idea of the video-making-style with the inserted scenes for the chapters, but I think it’s making watching a little to stressful. Please don’t get me wrong, I like the chapter-style, but your background is not minimalistic enough for those quick changes. I still like your background, but it feels like you should better decide on one of the styles. Don’t know if I am the only one who feels like this...
But no matter what: I am and I will always support your channel and love your content!
