  • Anyone who enjoys fishing is intrigued on what it's like to catch a shark. In this video I talk through everything from rigging terminal tackle, baits, tides etc and then catch one for you ! This video is specifically for estuary and canal bull sharks that are found in the Gold Coast canals and any sub tropical estuaries and canal systems around the world.
    I hope you get some value out of this video and go and catch your first bull shark.

    Very good video and hints on bait prep,i am going to try balloons this time as well to keep away from bottom dwellers as i used to be a diver at seaworld and they always seem to travel at midwater, so will let you know as going this arvo on top of tide

    how far from my bait do i position the lead weight

    • @onthelooseadventures
      @onthelooseadventures  4 місяці тому +2

      Hi Joseph. Thanks for watching. Your sinker will effectively be at the end of your trace (on your main line)
      Your trace should be long enough for the sharks you are wanting to catch. In this case 1m-1.5 theirfore your sinker will be 1.5m from your bait.
      Hope this helps

      i tried that today and i found the lump of Eel going out with the weight about 20 feet up the line , so now i am going to make a trace of about a foot and attach another trace to that with the lead with a back stop 2 foot up the line so as soon as the Sharks moves 2ft he will semi hook himself , i was getting lots of taps on the rod today some quite hard i guess they were nuisance fish , or shy bullies , i was fishing the Nerang near Bundall ,@@onthelooseadventures

    why worry about the trace being coated when the hook is not coated

    Have you heard people using carp as bait?

    • @onthelooseadventures
      @onthelooseadventures  2 роки тому

      I haven't heard of that. Maybe the good ol Carp is good for something after all.
