Family Fun In Lucky Bay Esperance
We make a detour to Esperance on our journey to Ningaloo Coast in Western Australia and man are we glad we did !
This beautiful South Eastern Western Australian coastline is teaming with picturesque Bay's & Coves.
We spent 2 days here exploring a select few and spent one full day in Lucky Bay fishing for Australian Salmon and lazing around in the pristine waters.
To top off the experience we cook our catch on the beach.

    I find this far better than the commercial grade mine spec sprays that you can get. Once a stone chips chips the heavy duty stuff water gets trapped between the bitumen and the chassis which causes rust you can't see. Your method is way cheaper and better. Great video mate

    Hey mate great video, I’m looking at this exact boat engine combo, apart from the water pump did you find it to be a reliable engine? Also how is the fuel economy with the 4 blader at cruising speeds

    • @onthelooseadventures
      @onthelooseadventures 6 місяців тому

      Hi Gary. I found 3500rpm the sweet spot, burning 38L/h for 20 knots. Was reliable untill At 500 hours (4 years old) a riser suffered a blocked water passage which warped the head causing hydrolock. Maybe just unlucky 🙄 anyways I've now converted it to outboard.

    • @onthelooseadventures
      @onthelooseadventures 7 місяців тому

      Not a problem, thank you for watching. I'm actually currently converting to outboard. I'll post a video very soon of the whole project. However in answer to your question.. At the time of purchase in 2109 the diesel option incurred a price difference of around 30k AUD which was hard to justify.

I have a 1990 80 series and a 1996 camp trailer a 5L bottle will last me a year or 2 coats its the best rust prevention for your money both camp trailer and Landcruiser are rust free and I live about 200m from the beach

    Hi mate, I've recently just finished a full rebuild on my 1980 Caribbean-Pride Pacemaker which is a 4.8m hull. I went with the same DF100B which so far has been fantastic, only struggle we're having with it is getting it propped right. Did you find you could pull the same size prop in the standard suzi alloy prop or could you up pitch in the stainless? My Suzuki dealer admits that the cupping and shape of the suzi alloy props is pretty basic and in return doesn't perform anywhere near a stainless. We tried a standard 3x14x19p originally and it was only getting about 5200rpm with 2 adults no gear, then tried a 3x14x17p and for some reason gained about 1100rpm it got the 6300rpm easy and that was with 3 adults and some gear. Then tried a 3x13.75x19p and that brought it back down to a Max of 5400rpm. Again 2 adults and gear. Trim seems to make a big difference to the Max rpm too, fully trimmed down it get 5400, trim out a bit gains another 450 rpm giving 5850rpm which is in the rev range. That with the 3x13.75x19 alloy prop at 32knt or just under 60kmh. Trying to decide what prop to go to next as don't want to loose any more high end cruise speed.

    • @onthelooseadventures
      @onthelooseadventures Рік тому

      Hey mate. Thank you for reaching out. The Pacemaker is a great boat. I run a Suzuki Stainless 21P. Tops out at approx 6300rpm for 85km/h with a light load and just me on board. I haven't ran any other props. Assuming all the props you tested were alloy I'm thinking a Stainless Solas or Suzuki 19P would be in the sweet spot for your boat. Regards, Justin
