Making a Christmas dinner at Richard Hammond's Workshop

- In many ways, The Smallest Cog is a truly cutting-edge workshop, full of the latest car restoration technology. But in the food department, things don't normally get much better than a petrol station sandwich with a can of Fanta. Lucy - armed with a Tefal Actifry - has decided to change that, making the Greenhouses a full Christmas dinner; turkey, stuffing, roasties, sprouts, the lot!
Thanks to Tefal for sponsoring this video!

If Hammond was there cooking, he would've deep fried banana including skin
Can you fry banana in Gin?
If Hammond was cooking he would have set the kitchen alite.
@@danwaters115 that and turned it upside down.
With beans
If Hammond was cooking the entire meal would be upside down and on fire.
Lucy getting more comfortable in front of the camera, while making a Christmas dinner, is wholesome af
@Ethan S And smile a bit!
She always seems like she's slightly put out having to be on camera.
Gets easy when you are just producing a commercial.
Missed opportunity to have James May come in and do the cooking with Oz Clarke.
Well Richard didn't even show up?
it would be funny to see them continue the military precision and the debate over the best way to chop carrots
@@ryanfuller964 they are probably more incompetent than this.
part 2 (hoping)
that would have taken two weeks!
Lucy has an unique ability to make anything regardless of exciting (it ought to sound) come across like the reading of a Death Sentence!
Bravo Lucy. And Mike playing the smallpipes has him points up tenfold for me.
8:40 The bagpipe toot was hilarious. I really want expecting that. 😂
The most sincere, warm and heartfelt gatherings!!!
May your Holidays be cheerful, cogs be plentiful and friends close!
Love and Thanks from Vermont
Missed opportunity for some Yorkshires. (Yes I know they go with beef, but we have them with every roast especially Crimbo dinner).
Lucy did a top notch job, From America, Marry Christmas to you all !
Mike on the bagpipe was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed that entire video!
I wasn't expecting to learn that Mike can play bagpipes
Neil seems like the most pleasantly mannered person
Totally agree
Agree, they don't really make em like that anymore
The guy in the end who held the cup side ways for the picture. Well done mate👏
ah ! lovely . love the Greenhouse Smallest Cog christmas lunch ! Merry Christmas you delightful bunch - lovely job, Lucy with all the cooking ! the T-fal has redeemed itself many times over . terrific bag-piping Mike ! love the deflation moment.
What a wonderful gesture. The season of giving, thank you for a wonderful feast!
Merry Christmas! Music, Christmas sweaters, and a lovely meal. Even bad jokes from Christmas poppers. Wishing you all the best in 2022!
Some people need to realize that the easiest way to put a smile on your face is to put a smile on another’s face.
Sometimes when we’re going through difficult times, we often smile on the little things that give humanity to our otherwise depressing situations.
We Eat ham on Christmas here in Finland. It's made with a mustard crust (vale). And we eat casseroles (Carrot, Swede, Sweetened potato). Also we have Rosolli witch is a sort of salad that has Apple, Beetroot, Onion and carrot. There is also Gravlax, Cold smoked Salmon and in our house warm smoked salmon and Karelian Pasties. On Christmas day we also have Karelian Stew (at least here in South Karelia, The tables vary regionally)
Some people also have liver casserole which I think is ridiculous to eat on Christmas
It's ridiculous to eat period...what a disgusting piece of "food"...
It is actually very interesting to see what traditional Christmas dinner in Britain looks like
Could have a whole video of Mike playing the pipes 😅
Respect for the piping! (Though how did the food stay warm as the rest cooked?)
I reckon that's where the work shop microwave came into play 😄
I reckon they used tin foil
It didn't?
Thank you. I needed a bit of holiday cheer, and well supplied it is.
Lucy your dinner looked amazing
This was awesome and should become an annual event.
Great job Lucy and Mike. I hope the shop dog got a little treat!
Happy Christmas to all thanks for the entertaining video content and helping Hammond realise his dream. Thanks for making the lunch for these guys!
Very nice idea Lucy. I like that you gave them a a smiling, happy dinner
The comments on this video are just as wholesome as the video itself. Nice change to the usual stuff you see on UA-cam :)
what a nice dinner for all. I'm sure everyone's hearts were warmed and delighted.
Never peeled a spud? the yoof of today :D The spouts need a cross cut in the bottom of them too. Enjoyed the vid and those air fryers look to make some amazing baked spuds. Cheers for the vid and hope you all enjoy Christmas.
Problem I see is that the stuff cooked first is atone cold. Plus, how do you make gravy in an air fryer?
Personally I woyld use a kettle or the mivrowave add the juices after
And they could use an oven at home for the entire lot, in one go. No need to waste 400 pounds on a portable oven.
The only thing piping is the guy with the bagpipes!!!
The sprouts and potatoes are probably most affected.
Judging by the portions you're feeding Christmas elves not auto shop workers.
Yeah but its a free meal
shut up its the gift of a meal that counts not overfeeding
@@TheCotzi brought to you by TFal. Could have splurged for 7 more Brussel sprouts.
@@jetjet268 So? if you are gonna feed someone, you should do it properly
I tell myself she's just showing us the amount that fits in the fancy Tfal cooker, but she's got lots more already prepared in containers off camera.
very heart warming, thanks for making my day wholesome, Merry Christmas guys!
Lucy has the mannerisms of a Texas State Trooper lol
Thanks for sharing - glad the guys got a nice meal (no petrol station sandwiches). Have a great holiday one and all!
Lucy little bit of butter is also my definition of a little bit of butter ! :)
Sweetest person that Lucy. Looks like the guys really enjoyed it too. 👍🏻👏🏻
Merry Christmas to everyone on the team!
In parts of the US, we do a ham for Christmas since we do turkey for Thanksgiving. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same
in the UK we dont need to because 'thanksgiving' doesnt exist here. to be fair im not certain what its all about, especially having another 'celebration' so close to christmas
Duck is a pretty nice alternative to turkey.
@@petelattimer6808 Thanksgiving in Canada was on October 11th this year. Much more separation from Christmas than in the States. Makes both holidays special.
@@bghoody5665 Also goose in the olden days I believe?
Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year 🎄
That was really cool and I loved the bag pipes and your backing music . Have a safe 2022. Greetings from down under in Aussie
Such a lovely video! Well done! Touched my heart for you doing something to for all of them! From the music provided, food, and taking the time to take a break and get together ☺️! I think it will definitely be memorable for everyone that was there that day ❄️🎄❄️!
What a fun video. Hope you all have a merry Christmas. Looks like you got the season off to a great start
Because Richard wasn't there the food had flavour.
This was really sweet Lucy 😃. Very kind & special for all the team there. Made me feel a little emotional as I won’t be seeing family for a second year in a row, due to what’s happening in the world 😢. Merry Christmas to you & all the team, thank you sincerely for all the wonderful & entertaining content you all produce for us 😊🤍
Why can't you see your family?
Due to Covid regulations in the UK & Switzerland
Wonderful video guys. Well done on the cooking Lucy. This really got me in the spirit of Christmas. Merry Christmas guys. Look forward to your 2022 videos. From snowy Canada!
Merry Christmas to the entire crew!
the awkward silence once mike finished, brilliant
That is the most wholesome and heartwarming thing. Really captures the spirit of Christmas.
If you're having a roast dinner without Yorkshire puddings, you may aswell not bother 😆
Nice job, Lucy!
Quite a remarkable machine!!!
A fine meal from such a device!!!
Thought you would be cooking spaghetti with all those constant Italian hand movements
😂
What a pleasant sight. Merry Christmas!
Blimey Lucy cooked Christmas lunch for one in our house of giants! Lol.
i love these guys, cant wait for the season 2!! :-)
What a great gesture
Merry Christmas 🙂
Lucy is the best thing on this channel. By far. Happy Christmas
What are you watching? She is the least interesting person involved. No offense to Lucy, but she is quite dreary and bland.
had no idea there would be brussels sprouts. Excellent video btw Lucy.
Bread sauce!! Great video Lucy. Very natural in front of the camera.
I love that Christmas sweater~
That's such a lovely video. Made a tear come to my eye seeing others so happy and humble.
Can we see a May's reaction to the smallest cog?
YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS!!!!!!!! But seriously, brilliant effort with the air fryer gizmo.
Fun to watch, thank you.
Nice job Lucy ! 👍
Merry Christmas guys. Ur amazing
Lucy, you may have convinced me to buy an air fryer. Job well done.
This video was absolutely lovely
This is the genuine stuff I love from DriveTribe and FoodTribe! Congratulations to all of you.
I love Lucy's sweater
Cracking roasties Lucy!
No Yorkshire puddings, for shame! 🤣
Watching in April. Now want a Christmas dinner ,
I can't lie, I was sketch on Lucy Brown making a whole bleeding meal. But it looks fab!
Can't make too many roast potatoes. There are never enough.
This was great, Mery Christmas 👍
Lucy's presenting skills are improving.
This was beautiful!
Lucy, the food looks great, Mike, nice piping and decor 🙂
Wholesome AF.
very nice, looks so great :)
Mmmmmm... Just what I love; cold food. Of course I did see a microwave there so maybe it was served hot. Mmmmmm... Just what I love; a microwaved Christmas dinner.
Great Editing and fun in this one ...GREAT JOB YOU 2
I always have a steak under my xmas dinner. Soaks up everything to make a perfect boxing day sandwich.
A steak??
Beautiful!
Lutefisk is something that you absolutely need on the christmastable but i'm swedish so you'd probably never had it? Love me some raw spiced salmon is that right?
in Ireland we would eat turkey and a honey roast ham, sometimes roast as a 3rd meat. the English missing out with just turkey! we usually pass on the sausages too.
so sweet, well done.
Merry Christmas 👍🏻
Well done Lucy brown u looking more easy on the eye these days 🤩
Absolutely love the sweater
Great video. Really enjoyed it.
I like sprouts too, halved, garlic added at the end of cooking, fried.
Neil I could listen to for hours
Great video, interesting way of doing the meal. Shame everything will be cold in the end.
Digging the Bagpipe!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!
Isn't it all going to be cold by the time you are plating it?
This was a much better sponsored video.
