Having built and tested the Smallest Cog MGB, it's finally time to set it loose on track at the mighty Silverstone circuit. With Abbie Eaton and Anthony Greenhouse behind the wheel and Richard managing the team from the pits, can they get a result on the car's first proper outing?

We need hammonds workshop in the USA. Why is pretty much every other show Jeremy, may, and Richard do on air in the USA but not hammonds workshop?
do we have to start a petition to get this show in the us?
@@bradley8187 I've basically learned to stop asking at this point. It's pretty clear they have no intention of releasing this internationally.

Merry Xmas and look forward to seeing 2023 race season
Richard has surrounded himself with a group of incredible hardworking people.
I'm sure his company and the Smallest Cog racing team will succeed in the future!
For those saying "this feels like one big ad to a show" lets not forget that we Are getting the content that we all subbed to. Background footage, love of cars, and the characters that make us want to pursue or continue working on our own projects. Love you guys from US! Merry Christmas
Did you sign up for a show that's an ad for another show? People can complain if the content switches to something they didn't subscribe to, to let the person know they don't appreciate it.
.
I didn't, but I understand it and critiquing content is more valuable than silly "love this" comments (which actually say nothing)
@Obsidian Look at the channel description, the content you're getting is the exact content that this channel was made for. If you don't want to watch the show, then don't watch it. You can just watch the youtube videos and not care about Hammond's show.
Tbf Richard owns (partly) this channel, so it's just smart business for him. He gains "free" advertising for his main show, while he earns on making the advertisement.
Overall i don't mind this kind of content, as long as it's about cars im all for it, i prefer this over the "car care/detailing" videos.
Sad result but great to see it in action. Also pleasing to see Abby back and racing hard.
Roll on next year!
I think Abbie melted the engine twice LOL
@@papalaz4444244 it’s an MG so it doesn’t take much to melt the engine
@@anusername8350 You'd think the engineers who beefed up the engine, the team who run the car and a pro driver would know that in advance, then. an username This channel doesn't have any content.
They all start somewere its were they finish but thats up to them to put the work in.They raced so thats a result in my book
After all the up and downs, this is a very nice end to the smallest cogs year.
Agreed but it's a little tired hearing Hammond crying broke
Its nice to see how the smallest cog racing team is growing
Oliver would be proud to learn his adopted brother will be racing.
Thrilled to see the car out there and Abby back racing. This was the shake down run, don't stress, looking forward to racing next season.
I'm so glad Abby is involved in this. she's a great screen presence and a fantastic driver. Sorry it went south.
I love everything about this video! Love that Richard has got the racing bug, love the team are working out the car, love that Abbie is helping and love that drive tribe is putting out regular quality content! Merry Christmas ❤
This was filmed better than the R's Workshop episode.
I'm fascinated by racing, so I'm thrilled that Richard is running a full season next year. The racing bug bites hard, and I can see Richard getting absolutely obsessed by it. Much success to the team and the shop.
I didn't know Abbey was back to racing. That's the BEST and most important news I take from this! Onwards and Upwards, chaps and chapettes!
Hammond has aged amazingly and seems super lovely to work with. I'm glad that at least 2 out of the 3 TG / GT team have found other ways to further their careers full time than relying on the one show.
Awesome day and great showing. Can't wait to see next seasons racing with the Smallest Cog. WTG Team Cog!!
This is awesome. I always wished one of the three would get into racing ever since the episode of Top Gear with the 24hr race in the diesel BMW. I really hope we can get more of the racing footage from either Richard Hammond's Workshop or this channel.
Racing is too expensive, companies only do it for a couple of years.
The paddock drama is common. One time I queued up for my session, not realizing that the next group had already started lining up behind my group. By the time I got to the front, they said, "sorry, your group just finished." Not. Happy.
Merry Christmas smallest Cog!
Keep tinkering guys, your doing great on your Learners permit. Its still a massive achievement that you have a racing team and car to go racing with. Looking forward to next years. shenanigans.
Will there be a third season of RH’s Workshop please??? I love it! 🙏
Can't wait to see a full season. You've laid an excellent foundation. Cheers to all involved...
Merry Christmas Drivetribe! Keep your head up, you have all the support from all around the world. The smallest cog is going places
Thanks gentlemen. Enjoyed the content through the year.
Loved the MG BGT. Dad sold the car 20 years back stil trying to replace
Keep us posted via the comments somehow, if you like
Happy New Year Drivetribers and Cogs! 😃🥳
Tough break for The Cog racing team, next year Doris is sure to work for more than a day, hopefully the whole racing season! Thanks to all the gang at the Cog, it's a fun little show to watch, hope to see more next year. 👍
I just spent three days vegging on season 1 and 2 and gotta say it's a superb show. I love the versatility and involvement of it all, showing it's not just a two-bit pipe dream but a real passionate business, a family thing, very sentimental and a team effort and all in all bringing like-minds together. The Greenhouses are very a talented bunch.
I love that Hammond's "Restoration Business" has just become a racing team 😂
And in the grand tradition of Lord Hesketh's race team, champagne no matter the outcome. Bravo!
Fingers crossed for a season 3, really nice seeing things starting to come together for TSC.
I feel like now that the shop is more established, and they have more consistent work and things to do we will get more show more consistently. As long as we all keep watching.
The journey is the goal! Perseverance and constant improvement is the purpose of everything. Looking forward to future hardships and setbacks!
Considering everything it takes just to get to the starting line, this is definitely an improvement!
Can't really wait for S3 of the show and how they do at the races... Great show, great team! RH has got great working partners, great mates; they're a family now!!
How did you do the little pics of RH in your reply please?
@@DavidAbraham87 When you join the channel, they give you that option. I'm not talking about subscription, I mean being a "member"...🙋♀️🙋♀️ here are some of them: ➡️
Lovely to see Richard wants to do a whole racing season. And I totally agree with him about what makes the racing so fascinating. Apart from the obvious. Brilliant. Happy new year
yes but what will Mindy say lol☺
Nice to see Abbie again. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for the video!
What a shame. Abbie is a 'kin legend!!!
Love the small cog racing stuff, keep it coming
The last time I heard this accent was ' some men are longer than others'. Bless you Braveheart. You never stop giving.
Watched the complete series. Absolutely brilliant.
I ❤seeing all the Panasport wheels, 2002's, MG's, etc!
Class! Hope they have a great future.
Merry Christmas Mike the COGS and all the Drivetribe team. 🎅
Great stuff! Glad to hear Abby is back in the seat running fast!
Fantastic episode love the racing format keep them coming!
Merry Christmas to everyone at Drivetribe and The Smallest Cog
Love Richard! The team takes on is energy…. Can’t help but to have fun!! No matter the result!! ❤️🙏😎. Go cogs!!!
Saw this in the show.
Gutted with how it ended.
Happy that they got some racing experience
Happy Christmas to you all I hope you's have a blessed and prosperous new year.
Awesome to see Abbie there
Great car and drivers with a lot of potential. Once the core plug is back in fit a coach bolt between it and the backing plate for extra safety. You also need some luvers in the top of that bonnet to get the hot air out because they build up a lot of excess heat under there.
Respect to you alll I enjoyed cheers to all the team
Best series on TV 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can't wait for next year!
Can't wait for season 3 of hammonds workshop 🙏 🙌
Anthony, look at video's of Gerry Marshall from the late 60's early 70's, size does not always matter.
It's GREAT to see Abby's recovered from her broken back & is back on the track 🙂
I really hope there's going to be a season 3 of Workshop, as well as DRIVETRIBE continuing with these behind the scenes videos throughout the series too.
Red Bull hat but still drinks Monster. Nice one Mike
When is the Discovery+ show going to be available for those of us in the US?
And what a race car it became
Great. Can't wait for next year.
Merry Christmas 🎄
Great vid, loved it
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I had a couple GTs...under rated and getting hard to find in the US.
Beautiful little sports cars
Never even seen one in person and to be honest, I didnt even realize they were sold in the us.

Saw a few at the Gulf Coast British Sports Car Club show in Pensacola a few years ago. Apparently a lot more reliable than I had supposed as the guy I spoke with drove his down from Atlanta.
The right one to own is the MGCGT.
6 cylinder.
Thats just wonderful
Well done everyone - NEXT season ... watch out 🙂
They need to get the Stig next season.
Hey COG guys you really need to put some mesh behind the grill to protect the oil cooler. And if you want to cool the engine down put a couple of louvres in the top side of the bonnet.… but be aware when it rains you get water coming off the grills.
Here are some ways to reduce the engine temperature: 1. Install a thicker & larger capacity radiator. 2. Punch plenty of louvres in the bonnet to get the hot air out of the engine bay. 3. Install a transmission cooler ( if the rules allow it ). 4. Install a larger engine oil cooler. 5. Install much larger air cleaners to help the engine breath.
Merry Christmas to ye all now 👍🎄🤶
Nice to see Abby back. She rocks
Well done the Cog's ! Methinks an extra row in the core of the radiator will sort that out.
I hope the workshop shown is back next year! There was no “next time” segment.
What I am so excited about is to see Abby back. She is so talented and she really deserves success.
Really enjoyed that mr Hammond
Looking forward to next season
Richard, Happy birthday dude, we have the same day!
Merry Christmas everyone! I'm interested if you have tried a normally open thermostat versus a normally closed thermostat? It normally will allow you to drive even if overheated but will boil over until you can make a pit stop..
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS,WELL DONE....
4:10 Lol, dramatic tea and biscuits.
How exciting!
That shell suit top reminds me to pop to Lidl
More cores on the radiators will help. Oil and water.
I'd love to see a collab with Wheeler Dealers one day. Or at least to see Elvis helping out The Smallest Cog with his F1 mechanical expertise. That would be amazing.
I would love to see that show.
4:21. That camera costs more than the RV.
Cheers! I only wish Abby had the opportunity to really give it full beans. She is brilliant behind the wheel.
That MGB GT, even though racing, should not have overheated on such a cold day--the 1st. thing I would check for is an improper thermostat.
And work on getting the hot engine air out of the engine bay. Ie bonnet louvres. You can also check for an air pocket somewhere in the cooling system that could be working its way around the system to the water pump, thereby preventing the water pump from working.
Just amazing. That is real life… sooo cooool
It's great to see you guys choosing the CSCC great series and a great bunch of like minded people.... I have a couple of class wins in swinging 60's and Classic K's in a Lotus Cortina, Spa and Thruxton being the highpoint...Spa summer classic next year?.....bring it. Engine woes, have a chat with Craig Beck Racing, 60's race engine genius... he squeezed 180+ hp from my 1600 Lotus Twin cam. That's what you are up against...
so glad to see hammond and may branch off from Jeremy. when TGT is canceled, we will still have this!
Happy to see Abby has recovered.
Car looks amazing in that paint job.
Can't wait for next season
Richard , I have a similar sleeping set up --- and yes .
should have kept my BGT.... Nice episode, thanks.
AMAZING
Cool car ! That's racing . Fixer up have anouther go !
Sadly the truth of motorsport it doesn't always go to plan but the time are pretty solid for the a 1:11 for the national. Looking forward to see the at the CSCC in the future.
Perhaps they could elevate Hammond on the car lift as a Christmas present so he can finally experience what it's like to be tall and look down on people ("Look Ma!
I'm at the top of the world!")! 😆😆😉👍
