Gibbons remains the most underrated guitar player in rock and blues. The average listener thinks, "he's good." But great guitar players know that he is absolutely one of the GOATs. His playing is so deceptive due to its simplicity. But he was a man born with RHYTHM and SOUL. And you can hear it throughout all his music. And his riffs and licks are straight JAMMIN. I hope Gibbons knows just how great he was and is and will always be. A true guitar god and legend. Thank you for enriching our lives with your music.

I have a huge amount of respect for Billy G and ZZ Top. I went to a concert in Clearlake CA about 10 years ago. It was pouring rain, cold and windy. Billy came out and said if you guys gotta be in it we're playing in it. They played straight through with no breaks. It was the best sounding guitar overdrive I've ever heard.
I was at that concert,was my 1st & only time at that venue & 1st time to see ZZ Top. They were wearing all white & the equipment was white. They played almost every single song you'd want them to play. Me & my friends had on our thick jackets & perfectly content in the rain. It some how made it that much more sweeter & epic to see them in pouring rain.
I was never a major fan of Hagar's solo songs, but I must admit he seems like a fun guy to hang around and jam with. He has this cool laid back personality.

This is really awesome...grew up with ZZ - many concerts ...RIP Dusty. Sammy is very talented - looking at his career; very versatile and loves the music. Looking at much of the really great groups seemed to stem from Blues. I live in Blues country and I can tell you - it is moving to the soul!

My music print years were 70’s 80’s. Zztop was along with others the hardest working bands I’ve ever seen. I saw them a dozen times maybe more. Always good.
I've heard about the way Billy plays these "cheater chords" and inversions now I've seen it. No wasted movements. Full sound w/ less strings. Very awesome! Nobody sounds like this cat! The feel and groove is unmistakable. Love the ordinary Orange practice amp too!
