I used to see Dusty Hill in a small hole in the wall bar on Houston's west side all the time in mid 80's. The place never had more than 5-10 people in it. It's physical attraction and (in my opinion) better sound, it's just an entirely different experience than anything on a digital format.
I found a really good copy at an antique store in Glendale, KY a few years ago, excellent $20 purchase if i do say so
And the gatefold display of Mexican food has to be the best center fold of any album to date. Hands down, a brilliant album in every possible way!
This is the first song I heard on the radio. It introduced me to ZZ Top. I've been hooked ever since! RIP Dusty.
Have Mercy!!!!!!!!!! Love ZZTop from day one. Love you guys!
And uncle jesse too 🤣
Some trivia for ya; ZZ Top is the longest running band is rock and roll history with its original members
Sadly not anymore... 😥
I saw them a million years ago when they came through Ottawa. The power coming out of the speakers pushed me against the back of my chair, and interfered with my lung function. It was great!
Goddamn, that was truly incredible.
+
Sheena Jackson,
Not as incredible as your looks though.
+
Buuzzsaw Touched Me,
Oh god, what is wrong with you?
Except the part where the stork called it "LA grainge" what a doofus.
Your face is truly incredible
What a great band ZZ Top were. Just 3 of them, but with the fullness of sound and all the elements in place, blues, rock, vocals. Masters of simplicity
listen close kids, this is something you may never hear properly again. actual music, actual musicians, actual creation, and most importantly, passion.
These guys make me proud to be a Texan. RIP Dusty! There was no one like you before and there will never be another one like you after!
I'm not Texan, but part of me wishes I was...
@@TheEmac70 I hereby grant you the title of "Honorary Texan". I can do that since I am a Texan 🙂
They have three of the most perfect tones blended together.
I used to see Dusty Hill in a small hole in the wall bar on Houston's west side all the time in mid 80's. The place never had more than 5-10 people in it.
After work me and another guy would go over there and drink dollar draft beer and shoot pool. Dusty's girlfriend was the bartender but he'd come over and shoot pool with us. Pretty down to earth for a mega superstar.
The best ones always are
Wow! In the mid 80s?! They were mega stars at that point with MTV and sold out shows
Spirit in the Sky on speed.
And longer 😆
Good one lol
Hahahaha
There was a lawsuit filed, but it wasn't because of Spirit in the Sky. It was ruled the riff was in the public domain.
Or a direct rip-off of John Lee Hooker's Boogie Chillen.
Rest in heaven Dusty you guys were my first concert.. black crowes and the MIGHTY ZZ TOP at US Bank arena Recycler Tour!! Much love, appreciation and prayers to the whole ZZ TOP BAND, FAMILY AND CREWS.. we love you always
When girls are are around the boys they like, their voices tend to be higher pitched.
