Good lord! Here I was thinking "Ok if this trap got 10-15 snails imma consider buying it". But this... This almost makes me wanna intentionally have snails run rampant in one of my planted tanks just so I can farm them for fish snacks. Awesome video as always!

My preferred method of catching snails was to stick a piece of leftover lettuce into the tank, waiting a few hours, and then removing the lettuce with the snails still attached. I fed most of them to my loaches but my cherry barbs also liked eating them for some reason lol
These days I normally just let the snail population sort itself out over time. They don’t bother me that much, plus the do plenty of good things for my tanks.

Got pest snails over a year ago in some java moss I was trying. Used it as an excuse for a Pea Puffer tank, bought one of these to catch snails. Like it but find Repashy or vegetables as bait works best in it. When it’s time to bring to the puffers pull red plug turn upside down so the little fingers drop down let snails crawl out ,time release food for my little hate machine’s.have a great day Professor!

I've salvaged three stainless steel ponds from my yard after buying my house (I have a young child.. so four ft. Deep open water isn't a good idea) I was wondering if I could cut a viewing panel out and keep fish in them building a stand and canopy. Just didn't know if stainless steel was ok.

It takes a little longer, and mostly catches big snails. But, I use par-cooked broccoli.
I put in the shrimp aquarium 4 nights in a row. They covered at least a full inch in the bottom of the pail. The second night, it was the same. The next two nights were about 1/2 in covering in the pail. So my guess was a few thousand of them in a 7 gallon shrimp aquarium.
I was shocked. I am hanging lettuce in there now, and I get several a day. Mostly big snails. The baby ones don’t seem to be attracted to anything. Maybe thes trap would work. Too bad you can’t get it in Canada.
You should see the aquarium now. I am seeing triple the shrimp I saw before, and the plants are all growing back. The shrimp are popping shrimplets like rabbits.
    So, no thanks to snails.

Didn’t know you could keep African and New World Cichlids together :O Never have seen OBs with Oscars, Red Devils, etc. lol. How does that work out for ya?

Been working out great. Not saying it will work for everyone, but based on the individual personalities of the fish, their size and the order in which they were added, so far no issues.

I was thinking you'd get 10 snails... WOW! I think the USA will be out of Sera snail traps within the hour. I think you could say this snail trap is Oscar approved*.
*approved for use in non-Oscar tanks. Lol.

I was hoping for about a dozen. I did it again last night and got the same result in a different tank. So crazy!

I was about to make fun of this tinker toy looking building project, and then OH MY GOD THE CARNAGE… THE HORROR… Wow! Who invented this thing, and what did snails do to them? I have an impending baby snail explosion, and was looking for something that would work, but I don’t think I want to go nuclear! That said, it is pretty brilliant that it looks like I can select out only the babies, I think I’m gonna have to try this murder box out.

At ua-cam.com/video/JLw9c9Q-Evo/v-deo.html that was so damn funny to see that thing packed with snails! The only reason there were a few stray snails is because there wasn't enough room!

Ahhh don't eat the snails! I like snails!
I don't need a snail trap, but I saw it on Aquarium Co-Op and wondered if it worked. I'd say it did!

    Don’t watch vid, but seriously?!
Why would anyone want to feed snails??
They get enough food from just crawling around. Also a lot of them r considered pests
& weren’t exactly introduce on purpose. Lol!!
