This duo is one of the most talented artists of all time-hands down! I love their music. I’m from the US and admit that there’s a lot of talented artists and musicians from Canada. Heart is another example of a talented group from Canada. And it goes on…
Man, life's chapters. in 1984 i was 21, in the US army, stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington(near Seattle), and some friends & i drove up to Vancouver, Canada, for Thanksgiving weekend. We stayed at a Holiday Inn dowtown and went out partying and bar hopping on Saturday night. Got back to the hotel around 1:00 am and stopped in the hotel bar for one last drink, and there was this amazing band playing their final set in front of about 20 indifferent, drunk people, and something stopped me in my tracks when i heard some if these songs, and i realized who it was- these guys. obviously a fallow time for them, kind of forgotten by most, but the talent & beauty was still there. Would take a few more years before they'd begin a resurgence and be embraced again. Stay the course, have fun, keep on keepin' on, and the spotlight will find you again...🙏🎼🎭
The people who created the rock and roll hall of fame are only capitalizing on a money making opportunity. Obviously they do not understand what rock music is, represents, and means.
Beatles? Stones? Motown? Bob Dylan? The list goes on. The Guess Who were great but there were many, many others that contributed to the soundtrack that was the 60's and 70's.
I would argue that ( along with the obvious inclusions of Lennon and McCartney and Freddie Mercury) that Burton Cummings, Roger Daltrey and Robin Zander are the best lead vocalists in rock 'n roll history, strictly in vocal terms. One could say "what about the Beach Boys ?", but you needed all of them harmonizing together. The three guys I've mentioned can simply belt on their own. Every band should classify them as dream lead singers that they would love to have. I wish Bachman and Cummings would do another tour together. Wonderful stuff. Marvelous. Thanks for posting it.
THE GUESS WHO one of the best bands of my youth. I had an eight track tape back then titled "The Best of the Guess Who" and played it constantly until it messed up like a lot of eight track tapes did. I live in SE Ohio and one year my wife and I were in Point Pleasant WV during some sort of specail event they were having and to our suprise who was on stage that evening but "The Guess Who" and they perdormed all the old songs and sounded great.
They are underrated. They never got the respect in the U.S. that they got in Canada. Its up for debate whether they are the MOST underrated. There are many contenders. PS: Why do the biggest assholes always insist on calling other people assholes? Its an illness that has been diagnosed as "Asshole Projection".
Their career, no matter what age, they play & sing these songs like on the recording, always fresh. Listen to Randy’s guitar, it’s marvelous. What a voice on Mr Cummings. True professionals, no doubt someone will give these more than talented musicians some recognition!!! Their music is just as relevant now as in the 70’s❤️🥰🥰🥰

I had the honour of seeing The Guess Who....B.T. O......and then I saw Burton Cummings in Oshawa...Ontario...Canada. Very gifted man from Manitoba. Loved running back to Saskatoon.
Jesus Christ what a voice and Randy Bachman an amazing songwriter. Thank you for bringing the joy into my life. Burton is one of the most gifted singers ever. If I could sing like that....seriously
Chemistry personified. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Such a joy to see these gentlemen playing together. Randy Bachman is an astounding songwriter and guitar player heavily influenced by the late, great Lenny Breau. His choice of jazzy and unique chord changes are in a league of their own. Burton Cummings is an equally gifted songwriter and musician blessed with one of the best voices in music. His range is phenomenal and the Jazz inflections in his phrasing are what has always captivated me as a listener. His vocal on the recorded version of “Undun” is amazing. That pause at the end of the song where his voice breaks just as he comes back in has killed me for years. Great video here. Thanks for this!

I really enjoyed this-in their older age they they sound fantastic!maybe better than when they first started, age refines and they prove this well in their super group status! Didn't burn out on drugs etc. Thanks guys you deserve the best and thank you Canada!
This gentle giant of rock has risen to iconic status in the music world through a devotional truth with and to his renowned hit songs, his stage presence, which is second to none, his musicianship, and his connection with his fans. For every astounding concert of his that I have attended, each one that followed was even better than the last! I felt his music and his incredible voice in my pre-teenage years and ever since. Now that I am in my mid-sixties, I revere the endless memories of this man and all that he has meant to the music industry, for what is music if not healing, dreamy, life-endearing, and a celebration of life through a voice so rich, so tender!
As a drummer for 53 years, as a 14 yr. old drumming to these songs,, trying to keep my volume down so I can hear the little Western Auto trancister radio while playing them, I loved this band. So, I had to come back a couple of weeks later to let everyone know how important this band really was to the world of music. I'm sure REO Speedwagon and Neil Young would agree as fellow Canadians.

"Undun" has such cool chords. It is so nice that Randy and Burton have retained their musical chemistry after all these years.
Bachman used similar chords several years later with BTO on "Lookin' out for #1." I love that one.
Burton is a phenomenal vocalist. Absolutely top-tier. LOVE YOU, MAN!
This duo is one of the most talented artists of all time-hands down! I love their music. I’m from the US and admit that there’s a lot of talented artists and musicians from Canada. Heart is another example of a talented group from Canada. And it goes on…
And the unmatchable Gordon Lightfoot!!
Heart is from Seattle
It’s so very hard to believe that these guys are still not in the Rock n Roll hall of fame.
This song was the most critical life-changing songs of my youth. I am 68. Love Guess who
You can still see the magic between these two Guess Who members. Great songs
It's time to induct them in the R&R Hall of Fame! Long time overdue!
Ah, that dirty, smelly, filthy, runny stain on rock & roll? Who cares who’s in and who isn’t, except simpletons?
Long overdue
The people who created the rock and roll hall of fame are only capitalizing on a money making opportunity. Obviously they do not understand what rock music is, represents, and means.
What are you talking about?? Rock and Roll in the RRHOF?? There are still a few more rap and hip-hop groups that need to go in first! Pssht.
Induct these fuckers!!! Cmon
The Guess Who was actually the real sound of the 60’s and 70’s...
They were great, but just one of many.
C.S. Lee in your opinion.
Don Nebes ?
Beatles? Stones? Motown? Bob Dylan? The list goes on. The Guess Who were great but there were many, many others that contributed to the soundtrack that was the 60's and 70's.
James Dunn we had plenty of great talent back then, great music was the focus, not pretty faces with mediocre or little actual talent.
The memories these guys bring back...WOW!!!
Burt and Randy simply Canadian legends. Never a bad show. Always remembered where they came from. They are truly a part of Canadian History
Soo beautiful. I am greatful to find this video. Thank you everyone involved
They've still got it! Very tight, and Cummings' voice is strong and clear enough to cut glass.
I'm 64 right now and love ❤️ ❤the music still undone is oneof my favorite songs!!!and no time!!
I love these stories
This is an awesome set. What great songwriters they were. Simply awesome.
DAMN!!! Burton Cummings....one of the best voices to ever come out of Canada! This performance of "Undun" is one of the best I've heard.
+Imapeach1 Thumbs up and a shout out to the wonderful town of Winnipeg, their home town.
+Imapeach1 Burton Cummings so underrated. Can play many instruments.
" She wanted truth and all she got was lies... "
A good reason for someone to become "undone" is it not?
I would argue that ( along with the obvious inclusions of Lennon and McCartney and Freddie Mercury) that Burton Cummings, Roger Daltrey and Robin Zander are the best lead vocalists in rock 'n roll history, strictly in vocal terms. One could say "what about the Beach Boys ?", but you needed all of them harmonizing together. The three guys I've mentioned can simply belt on their own. Every band should classify them as dream lead singers that they would love to have. I wish Bachman and Cummings would do another tour together. Wonderful stuff. Marvelous. Thanks for posting it.
the best, also thought rick emmet of trimpuh had a great voice
Burton Cummings. There isn't another musician that I admire more.
Between Guess Who, Burton solo, Randy solo, BTO…their catalog is as good as anyone ever.
Thank you. Guess Who is probably the most underated band of all time.
underrated? Are you smoking crack? - shut the fuck up with that shit ~
I have said the same thing many times in my life.
About them being underrated I am responding to cfomahm.
and Burton
They are underrated. They never got the respect in the U.S. that they got in Canada. Its up for debate whether they are the MOST underrated. There are many contenders.
PS: Why do the biggest assholes always insist on calling other people assholes? Its an illness that has been diagnosed as "Asshole Projection".
So glad I lived this era of GREAT music
WileERobby Meee Too!💕🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Me too!!!
We were lucky!! Thank you Father God!!!
The greatest generation for music..We had it all.
The greatest era for music, these guys were phenomenal, very enjoyable music the past 50 years
Their career, no matter what age, they play & sing these songs like on the recording, always fresh. Listen to Randy’s guitar, it’s marvelous. What a voice on Mr Cummings. True professionals, no doubt someone will give these more than talented musicians some recognition!!! Their music is just as relevant now as in the 70’s❤️🥰🥰🥰
Hello dear,how are you doing?
I to have grown up with this band since 1970 I love them think God them🎉😊
I'm going on 66 and this music brings me back to a time which I'll never get back but the memories. I've always said that he had the best voice still do today wish I could have seen him live.
Always impressed by Burton Cummings' vocals......he did it so effortlessly!
This takes me way back what talent Randy and Burton thank you God Bless
What a set of pipes Burton has - classic rock never gets old....
I'm 63, 64 in a couple weeks, and feeling sad lately too. But this song...these 👀's have seen a lotta ❤ but they're never gonna see another one like I had with you 😢
Sad? Yes. Beautiful...oh my, how gorgeous! The Guess Who are probably one of the most underrated bands EVER!
Amen!
Yes, meant to work together.
Couldn't say it better!
@@mury8715 yep !
These guys, along with the Grass Roots and Johnny Rivers should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
So many memories, my teen years were the best andxthe worst? Ii hunger3d for some loves, still to right now i yearn for some of those encounters. Im 76, had open heart in 2014 and throat cancer in 2018 its now almost 2024 and im enjoying my family. Good luck to all! This was the generation of LOVE!!!
I hope they get the same shivers down their back playing it as I do listening to it. Love Burton/Randy
Absolutely fabulous music ! I was born in '59, and wouldn't change a thing.
I was born in '54 and grew up with some of the best music! Love that they still sound soo good! Would love to see them live in person..
@@vduncan54 It would be wise to see them soon, because they are getting "long in the tooth".
Loved growing up late 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Great time!
Born in 59 also, I wouldn't change a thing about my youth. I loved it!!
Yessssss
One of the best voices in Rock, great song writing ability. Randy is a great guitar player. They belong in the R&R Hall of Fame.
Harry Chapman Kennedy honoree would nice!
Burton’s voice is one of the best!
I really enjoyed this-in their older age they they sound fantastic!maybe better than when they first started, age refines and they prove this well in their super group status! Didn't burn out on drugs etc. Thanks guys you deserve the best and thank you Canada!
The greatest ever voice!
Man! I still love their music! Thank you Canada for The Guess Who!
Fantastic they always have been
your welcome !!!
wow! His voice has held up so well over the years!!!
I could listen to them all day!!!
listening to this is like visiting old friends...just love it
This gentle giant of rock has risen to iconic status in the music world through a devotional truth with and to his renowned hit songs, his stage presence, which is second to none, his musicianship, and his connection with his fans.
This is BEYOND AWESOME!! Gave me chills. Undun blew me away.
Great to see Randy and Burton burying the hatchet. I love the GW.
These 2 people are fantastic and meant to perform together.. I wish they'd tour together more
As a drummer for 53 years, as a 14 yr. old drumming to these songs,, trying to keep my volume down so I can hear the little Western Auto trancister radio while playing them, I loved this band. So, I had to come back a couple of weeks later to let everyone know how important this band really was to the world of music. I'm sure REO Speedwagon and Neil Young would agree as fellow Canadians.
I have loved these guys for years I would play his greatest hits while waiting for my wife to get off work I tear up on the memory of her and the beautiful lyrics Every key point in my life was around there music thank you so much for the warm memory’s
Love Burton Cummings voice he still has it and the songs are still relevant to me today they touch me with my memories of them
Hello Ramona, how're you doing, I hope you are doing fine. I'm David from Houston, Texas. Where are you from? You seems like a real Country girl😊🌹
