As the wife of the dad who fixes everything I always try to diagnose the issue so I can give my husband all the information. Thanks for a great video. It will help me explain it to him.
That was awesome! I've a Bosch and about 2 years ago I fixed/replaced the electronics unit servicing menu panel. So satisfying. You did a great video. Thanks.
This video helped me fix my problem but its a different dishwasher and the solution was simpler and free. I'm in the UK with a Bosch dishwasher. I checked for the conduit and found its in one piece and slots into two holes side by side behind the lower arm. No screws to undo. It wasn't in the holes properly, a couple of mm forward. It was a bit stiff but pushing it backwards enabled it to go back into the holes and push all the way down. The arm is now spinning again and looking forward to no more crusty glasses. Thanks for this video which helped me track down the issue and I hope my experience may help someone else out there fix their dishwasher for free.
I love your video , #1 you lit the area so we can see exactly what you are doing! #2 a go pro that’s genius! I just watched a dozen of these video and yours by far was the best! Thank you!
So far so good. Just did this today and cleaned the ever Loving crap out of the trap, arms and replaced the seal. I can literally hear the water hitting the upper rack now. Thanks again man.
Luckily, it didn't get too bad to where I had to wash by hand. As a test, I threw in my nasty coffee pot on the top shelf. I mean, it, was, BAD!! Let the cycle run and it was perfectly clean. Thanks again, I am following you because I am also a big DIYer. @@dadfixdit

@@dadfixdit yes it works perfectly now. Underneath a base plate on the bottom the pipe to the top rack had become disconnected. Mine doesn’t have a gasket like yours, just a plastic connection. Didn’t think to check that. All reconnected and screwed back down and now it’s great. Thanks.
Thank you, watched other videos here but nothing worked. Saved me a minimum of $120 which I was quoted by a repair guy. Thanks so much, it worked for me.
I like so much the quality of your video...your explanation, the position of the cameras, the details for how put in and out each piece. Thanks for sharing and take the time for doing this...
Excellent video sir, our apartment dishwasher has the exact same issue but with only 1 spinning arm located just below the top level. Will see what I can find before calling maintenance. My husband can cook, he is a chef by trade but don’t ask him to fix anything. Trust me after 26yrs experience, it won’t end well. 😂
Thanks for this video! It pointed me in the right direction. I have a different model, and my entire connector is made of rubber. The found that the area that fits onto the feed tube was warped and not making a good seal. Unfortunately for me, I would have to replace the entire connector which is $80 or so. But there is a metal clamp that I just bent to help make a better seal. Hopefully that holds for a while.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am a mechanical engineer and pretty handy but I was completely stumped. I had already replaced the diverter assembly and it still would not switch over to the top spray arms. Your solution did the trick. I even made up my own silicone seal until the correct one arrived at my doorstep. Luckily, my replacing the diverter assembly was not wasted, because the rubber pieces on the diverter assembly had actually deteriorated so badly that they were starting to leak, so I’m glad I caught that one in time. Did you figure this out yourself or did you get some prompting from someone or elsewhere online because I could not find anything along these lines after a lot of searching. Great video production too.
Hi Michael, I’m so happy to hear that it helped you out. If memory serves, I think I discovered it when I came across the service manual on a forum and someone explained how the diverter assembly worked. Doing some troubleshooting I realized with that seal leaking the conduit would lose all its back pressure, the diverter would never function properly and never spin the upper arms. Glad you caught your diverter assembly too- maybe I should take a look at mine. Thanks so much for watching and the awesome feedback- it truly means a lot!
Truly great video! As a new dad w/ a 12 month old baby girl and brand new home owner, this saved me a ton of money. BTW: what is that ratchet tool you're using? I looked all over the internet and cannot find one and it looks like AWESOMENESS!!! Thanks again.
Thanks so much for the great feedback. I’m so happy the video helped you fix it! Makes my heart glad. So the ratchet is a 1/4” drive ratchet with a handle extension on it. Honestly it’s prolly one of my most used tools. I absolutely love it. Mine is a Snap-on that’s like 20 years old but you can definitely get them from other companies a lot cheaper. Something like this would prolly be fine: amzn.to/4eawH8o You do need a 1/4” ratchet though as well. If you don’t have one then something like this is an affordable good option. They are affiliate links. Feel free to use them or not. Basically you can build your own set from anything, it’s just a socket, ratchet and extension handle. Thanks for watching!
NICE! That was a great vid! I was entertained and that did the trick! LOVED the gopro "did that actually work?" shot. If I was really reaching to complain, maybe shine your light up from the bottom at the moving spray arm (?) 😁 Thanks again!

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the feedback. That wrench is a Snap-on which I love but wouldn’t recommend unless you’re a mechanic who will use it often because of the cost. For light use you could get something inexpensive like this if you already have a 1/4” drive ratchet and sockets. (It’s an affiliate link) amzn.to/3OlTItI Thanks for watching!
I'm hoping this is my problem. I cleaned it out really good and it helped for a couple of months but now it's stopping spinning again. I have a cleaner washing in it right now and when it's done I'm going to take a look at this little guy and see if it's the problem
Keep me posted. It will be pretty obvious if it’s failing. The gasket will leave black residue on your hands if you touch it. Good luck! Thanks for watching
it looks like you have the same dishwasher as me. mine never dried well and then it suddenly dried completely but smelled like a wet dog. i repeated the wash but never heard it washing so i canceled the cycle. it drained and had heat on the coils. it's there a problem with the pump?
That’s odd. It could be a pump issue. I would make sure that all the spray holes in the arms are clear- top, middle and bottom. Then make sure you clean out the pump screen really well. Turn off heated wash and heated dry and see if it cycles at all.
Sounds like a flex drain line problem. The drain needs a high loop in flex tubing to sink drain and or garbage disposal.if you don’t know what a high loop is google it. If you have a garbage disposal, pull off flex tube and stick your finger in to see if it’s blocked. If that’s not it, pull dishwasher out and check the rest of flex pipe for blockage. Also there is a check valve that may be broken or blocked at dishwasher end-of the flex line. All these things will cause your wet dog smell if not looked at in that sequence.

what if the water GOES !!! to the top
Do you mean the water is reaching the top arms and they are not spinning? If so then check the discharge hole in the arms as they often become clogged with food and debris.
yeah, our kenmore has problems with this because it has no way to wash out particles that get into the arm and block the hole at the bottom on the end, and it happens A LOT. All it takes is a little bit of folded plastic or even a popcorn skin to flap over the hole and then no spin! I managed to see there was something in it by taking off the arm and shooting water through it from the sink to see if it was blocked because there's a lip on the inside which prevented stuff from being flushed out in reverse.
