Thank you Mr Lavimoniere you have saved a ton of money i was ready to buy a new faucet because my kitchen faucet which is a Delta was barely running.I watched your video and did the same thing under my sink with the supply lines sure enough there was rust on the hot water side the cold was ok. The faucet is 12 years old and I really don't want to replace it right now, I suppose in time I will have to but not now
This video just helped me with my low water pressure in my kitchen faucet. We've had the problem for years and just doing your last step of taking the pressure valve out from the faucet did the trick.
27 Years in the service industry. I have had my share of talkative customers. I feel for this guy.
I thought we were going to hear some good high school stories for a second! Thanks ~gave me some ideas for trouble shooting my own 'flow' problems👌Love the background 'talk' as well!
Thank you soooo much... I finally got tired of low water pressure and I’m a 62 yr old who did this by myself and now have water pressure on both my hot and cold faucet! God bless you! And ladies if I can do it so can you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We have been dealing with this problem for awhile. It was the valve in the main faucet on the bottom. We almost ran out to the store to buy a new faucet tonight before we decided to watch your video. Thanks again!
Worked like a effin charm!!! Thanks!!!
Steve, unbelievable how those deposits accumulate. Your a honest guy by not selling something to customer which is not needed. Nice job!
Thanks a lot.i had same issue and i kept on asking someone to fix . Finaly i decided to fix on my own and searched on youtube. Luckily got your video and was able to fix watching this video. Thanks a lot.
Steve swooping in to lower her blood pressure and raise her water pressure
sons.of.the.sun right! Damn 230 is high!
*Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!! I tried this and it worked !*
Awesome spectacular repair video Steve.❤️😀👍😀👍
Thanks man, very helpful
My blood pressure was 190 over 100 two years ago. The meds worked for me. 120 over 80 last week.
glazierEd - Keep it up, you're doing good!
This is the weirdest "repair man" video I have seen in a long time. The dialog was there but this dude actually fixed the sink in the end.
Dr. Lav performs another bypass surgery. Great video Steve!
But it still needs an accordian-sectomy on the drain!
Thanks Steven, great job. Respectfully done.
The reason you look familiar to her is because your a UA-cam Star ... Soon you'll have your picture on the side of city buses ... Lol ... The Dynamic Duo rides again ... Good vid Steve ...
Growing up watching “this old house” I thought all builders/repairmen sounded like this.
That flexible drain piping looked pretty! I thought you would suggest taking it out, but with all her bills no need to bring it up!!
Stevie boy gonna get some nook nook!!! Atta boy Steve!
Sekekama WoW Hopefully she likes eggs & chickens
Mickey Mouse plumbers love those supply valves. Good one Steve, I’m a New Yorker plumber never used that crappy vavles
I'm glad the shut off
1. actually shut off and held
2. didn't leak once you turned it back on
In my case, being on a well, the best thing I ever did was to install a pressure gauge right at the kitchen faucet in one of the extra sink faucet holes.
Another one of those accordion drains!
Were those accordion pipes popular at one point...I haven't seen one of those down here in Florida for a while. They look like a lazy plumber's fix all
I have been to my local Home Depot, Lowe's and HD Supply many times and have never seen any accordion pipes at all.
Against code around here
I have an American standard kitchen Faucet and the contractor said that they're making "energy saving" faucets...it's a brand new faucet. The pressure is so low...it can't be this low help!!
I should take the diverter out of the faucet in my apartment. The pressure here is so high that you could strip paint with the sprayer!
Cholesterol got another one. GJ ~~Steven Lav.
I'm losing water pressure and I live in an apartment. My sink backed up a few months ago. I believe it's because my upstairs neighbor runs his dishwasher about 3-4 times a week and his crap comes down to my sink. I called the complex's maintenance and no one ever showed. Since they never showed I can only imagine them not showing up for this issue as well.
Now that is the one thing I did not take out was the diverter
Nxt lvl, nxt lvl
Another cholesterol choked faucet fixed! Next level Steve!
Thanks for video Steve and enjoy the weekend!
As a Canadian, I love the New England accent.
Thanks my air thingy was clogged lol. Fixed
How do I get the diverted out?
I am afraid of breaking it.
These comments are funny. 😂😂 but the video did help. Hahaha! Thanks.
This video would have helped me a lot, because this is where I think my problem is. I wish you had talked to the viewer instead of the person in the house. I would have liked to know each step as you did it, so that I could follow those steps on my own. I couldn't see the action end of the tool that you used to disconnect the plugged hose. It would have helped to know what it is. Just visuals without an explanation don't help too much.
I have a problem with my hot water too not enough pressure very little water come on it. But the cold does have pressure on it does come out much of it
Hey Steve you got a website or business name or anything I can write some reviews on, love your videos.
The Boston accent is strong with this one.
Nice work.
At least your pressure was higher than mine😔 dishes could’ve been a LOT easier today
Look out Mama she's working him
Those hoses look kinked slightly i'd of stayed with the 12" ones.
Also Steve I was wondering any idea what caused all those house explosions do you think it was maybe they lost their gas everyone's pilot lights went out and then they got their gas back and it built up in the house and blew have they said anything on the news
Mark Powell they said gas lines were over pressurized
I am so hoping her blood pressure is finally under control!
👍
At 7:10, what is that insert called? I think that part of the problem with my kitchen faucet.
the water restrictor? maybe?
oh, so that's the converter.
The new faucets have such small passageways. Relying on higher pressure....
"Lady your going to have low water pressure in the north end of New Bedford. You would have higher pressure in the south end, but then you would have to put bars on your windows."
Brad1237202 classic!
"it's called highland it's high" 🤦♂️
This is like "All in the Family" or "Honeymooner's". Great dialogue.
This woman wants a date with Steve...
Robert Nocera Jr that’s what I was thinking!😃👍
I was thinking she might need her plumbing checked out more often.
Robert Nocera Jr - She still uses a picture of when she was 21, for her profile. Like most gals do.
Good ole plumber 🤣
@@doughboy1966 She might reciprocate and check Steve's plumbing.
This is a good video. Nice and clear. Steve is easy to follow. He didn't complicate things with unnecessary big plumber show-off words and said the name of the parts so the viewer knows what to get if needed.
Thanks for posting it.
Water valve could be the problem. No air radiator
I'm from New Bedford. This is what we really sound like? No wonder people think we are idiots.
So you really don't need a deverter?
Are these the super Mario Bro’s? Sounds like Mario n Luigi
She just can't win for losing high cholesterol in her pipes and high blood pressure going to give her a stroke
Oh
Tell me you're from New England
Yup you ah
yeah, you showed the water flow after you switched that, but you didn't show how the water was with the old part still on.
should have disconnected the line from the faucet then test the water flow. If low flow, we know, it's not the faucet, but from the line back. Then remove the line, and check the shut off valve, to see if the problem is from the shutoff valve back.
Just Make that quick money, and walk out
My mom does the same kinda thing, she thinks she knows it's the faucet and he's saying it's alright. Who's the professional? She should let the guy do his thing, don't chit chat, and wait to see what he says when he's done.
Don't tell him how much money you have at home or in the bank. Or talk on the phone like that to her friend, while a stranger is listening.
You should try to conduct yourself in a professional manner because you are doing business.
It's time for grandma to be sent to "Golden Pines Nursing Home" before she falls down and can't get up.
Mineral build up is NOT called "cholesterol"! lol
steve can call it whatever the heck he wants! Steve the man.
Is it possible to clean the cholesterol out? Maybe not worth it?
I had to watch this on mute because of the lady.
Ya me too! Talking about her blood pressure then saying he looks familiar.
Great video but next time edit someone else out, lol.
Hey she was in school a year after you and thought she knew you Steve
Go one Steve is that women hot or what?
11 minutes just to...
Too much unnecessary background chatting
First today
You must of ran home from the school bus
@@markbaker1969 you must not have saw my last message no I rolled over from on top of your old lady and typed it in
Like I said, that sounds exactly like something a young punk kid would say
@@markbaker1969 yeah I'm 18 at heart 48 on Earth but yes young at heart and do you really think I care what you say I do this sometimes just to piss off the haters but actually it's cuz I like watching Steve's videos
This "Hack" did not fix anything.... he removed a part of the sink and said he fixed it. for probably $200.00 or more. Yeah, it's "a little better" He did a magic act and as little as possible and then he sells it as a "repair" He is not a reputable repairman.
Did he remove a part of the sink? No. He removed a part of the faucet. That lady was broke. He was trying to do her a favor. New faucets are going for $200 now for one that's not even anything special, and of course that doesn't include the labor. The hot water pressure was greatly improved when he replaced the supply line. I probably would have looked at the cartridges too because they can also collect sediment, but I think the customer's complaint was resolved. I don't think you should call the man a hack when you don't even know the difference between a sink and a faucet.
This customer wants a new faucet instead of calling you within 6 months. Stop making up B/S about water pressure about up town and down town. Just do it!!!
He's not making up BS. He was saving her money. You see her place. Obviously, she's not exactly loaded. And you do understand that the force that drives water is a thing called gravity, right?
