I have a question for you - you left oral minoxidil due to side effects. Have you shifted to topical minoxidil now? Is topical minoxidil without side effects for you now? Thanks for your time and research!
Hi , thanks for all the info.Could you please share the links of the skin friendly ones .
Great video to makes. It easy to understand all products of minoxidil
Hi Matt!
How do yo use minoxidil with your 0,025% fin? Do you mix it or apply separate?
Great video💫
If I take oral minox, do I not really need the topical one? Also is it fine that it's a 10mg tablet and I cut it into 4 quarters, that way one tablet lasts 4 days?
The trichosol sounds interesting, but what evidence is there that it penetrates the skin like propylene glycol and ethanol?
I'm 8 months after hair transplant...can i resume micro needleling? Thanks mate!!!
Thank you so much, awesome video. I have a question, what do you think about using 1.25mg of oral minoxidil daily, is it as effective as using the topical 5% once a day?
Topical is safer but oral minoxidil is little more effective
If you can use topical minoxidil twice a day it would be more effective
Would you advice to use minoxidil after a hairtransplant just for 3-6 months? I don’t want to commit to it longterm right now
Do you know where can find this applicator bottle with the long strip?
Useful info. Personally no problem with the liquid form for many years. Easy to apply before sleep, no itchiness in my case, can buy cheap in bulk & it lasts long (Kirkland brand). Since the effectiveness is negligible difference between them I'm going to stick to the liquid.
Thank you for the great video info! I take oral finasteride. Would it also be beneficial to use topical minoxidil? Thank you!
yes, this combo is a killer if you find the right minoxidil product that works best for your hair! Adding microneedling and and minoxidil metabolization enhancers like Tretinoin (mentioned in the video) will help you get best results!
For sure, even adding topical finasteride or another topical DHT blocker will have added benefit.
@@BitZappleIf you are already taking oral there’s no point is using topical too if you use 1mg a day
Didn't think that saving my hair from balding is possible only when I was exposed to your content which is very helpful, encouraging and professional!
Started Topical Min( 2-3months ago) and Finasteride (almost a month) and already seeing progress! everything is better, the way it looks now, and the shedding halted significantly, My life is changing for good, thanks to you man!
Quick question if I may, regarding the rosemary oil: been using it in my routine with other carrier oils to dillute it which was very hard to stick to it due to the fact that I had to apply Minoxidil separately which is time consuming for the long run, the question is If I'm using foam minoxidil and I do heat it up so it can be liquid then I do mix it up with Tretinoin, and use a dropper to properly apply it to the scalp, will I be able to mix the rosemary oil with the blend and it can be considered diluted? without the other carrier oils.
Sorry for the long comment, I wish you all the best!
you use topical finasteride or oral finasteride? what is the dosage you use and do u use it every day?
Can you do video on Latanoprost please?
From 2013-2020 I maintained hair well with generic oral finasteride and topical rogaine. After covid I stopped maintaining. I stayed on same protocol for 2 years still losing ground daily. In 2023 I switched to oral generic dutasteride and oral minoxidil (5mg)/day bit after a year, I'm still noticeably thinner and continue to lose ground. Since this protocol isn't working, I'm either going to switch to brand name oral Finasteride (brand Dut too expensive) or topical versions of both. Thoughts? Any input is appreciated.
Interesting video. However I've been using the classic liquid minoxidil (alcohol/ propylene glycol) solution for about 12 years already. And I've never suffered from itchiness of my scalp.
And some friend of mine also use this classic liquid minoxidil and no itchiness as well (even at the very beginning) so i guess it really depends on people 🤷♂️
Matt, you scalp must be pretty sensitive i guess
Hello guys.. Where can I buy minoxidil online in the US..at a cheap price.. Kirkland brand
Did you notice any change using tretinoin? I’m a weak responder to minox (6 months of using it alone) so I had it compounded with tret but have seen no change after 4 additional months.
Did you try micro needling?
There’s one more option: liquify foam, then apply using a dropper. Thoughts on that Matt?
Yeah I mentioned the liquifying of foam in the video but did not go deep into it. Yeah, it is the best way to use foam for longer hair and/or diffuse thinning.
What about follicle booster
Switched to oral minoxidil 0.25 once a day tab as foam was getting more on hair then scalp and Kirkland was way too harsh on scalp.
Doesnt surprise me. These are the usual issues of Kirkland and foam and many guys struggle with these. You can heat up the foam solution (not as a whole, just take a bit in a small container and then heat it up a little). The foam will turned into liquid within 5 minutes after I left it on the sunlight in Thailand. Then you can apply it to the scalp by using a dropper.
I use minoxidil cream from Hemiacosmetics. It's called Minacream, it's a 16% minoxidil solution with 0,01% of tretinoin. What are your thoughts on this product ?
16% is too much no?
What? 5% minoxidil sent me to ER with chest pain and dizziness now 16% ??? 😟 didn’t even know there was a 16% minox! 🤔
@@obram17 I use it and also with topical liposomal finasteride and have zero side effects from both...I don't know what people online keep saying and fear mongering 🤷🏻
@@mattgagi4347…I’m 56 and I’ve been using minoxidil, finasteride and laser helmet for almost 20 years only that now I use minoxidil in the morning and the chest pain disappeared so just be careful cause in time you could have sides! 🤔
@@mattgagi4347could you tell me the brand or where to get it? i can’t find finasteride without prescription!
What if i only use minoxidil after a hair transplant will the remaining hair fall ?
会
Bro do you got your hair back naturally or did you get an hair transplant
There is no natural way of getting your hair back man. I got some hair transplants and still use pharmaceutical drugs like Finasteride and minoxidil to keep the existing hair.
My HT Doctor gave me a 12.5% solution with caffeine, not sure if it's too high
I would never do this unless you had no response to 5% minoxidil in the past. 5% is FDA approved and anything higher is not, which means more side effects potential and not always better effectiveness than 5%. I would add microneedling and tretinoin first to enhance the absorption and make the 5% solution the most potent it can be and make it absorb well. If this doesnt work then 10% or 15%, or low dose oral minoxidil are worth trying because otherwise the hair will go.
Take the advice of your doctor/surgeon not some guy on youtube.
Nice content as always but I really liked the old name of the channel 😢
I suppose you haven't tried Liposomal Minoxidil possibly?
Oh, thanks for mentioning man! Tried liposomal solutions containing Finasteride before with finasteride. They are only possible to get via prescription (even if they are just minoxidil without Fin). Although they are more skin friendly than alcohol + PG, they are the worst when it comes to practical use. The liposomal gel is very thick and only possibly to apply on short hair and very locally. If you have larger area you need to treat or diffuse thinning and/or longer hair, forget it. It is also super expensive, so definitely not my favorite.
@@letsgethair how about side effect wise? Is it true in your experience that liposomal finasteride is the most side effect free? I know you used it, then stopped, so maybe wasnt that effective after all.
I tried Regaine foam for 1 week and it triggered extreme dandruff (never suffered before). The problem persisted for 2 months even after stopping! Horrible.
Try ketoconazal shampoo
use the foam version
just ordered foam a few days ago after stopping liquid min due to skin irritation for a few months. Thanks for uploading this
Actually, the hydro-alcoholic formulas have the best "maximum effectiveness." They are the only ones that have been scientifically proven to PENETRATE the skin and deliver the minoxidil the way it should be delivered. The other formulas are interesting but they may do nothing for hair growth, unfortunately.
Hi Matt,
Was wondering if 5500 grafts covers a full scalp that is fully bald or almost fully bald. If not, how many would they need to do on a fully bald scalp?
On a fully bald scalp Is utopistic to cover the entire scalp. They can use also grafts from beard but the donor zone Will be overwasted and the result Will be like a diffuse thinner
