Who lives younger for lifetime bro? In young age it's worrying but in old age definitely we will get weak that's okay. The point is that why look bald in young age. Whatever the remedy is it's good if you get good hair and enjoy life☺️
Man I can really see how much hair you've started to regrow Dr. G. Thank you for all you do for us. Few doctors would like to spend their time to make really good educational content like this from a good reputable doctor.
@@raphaelfernandes5195 His eyebrows. He has an extreme type of alopecia that makes you lose all your body hair so at one point, he even lost the hair in his eyebrows. As you can see in this video though, his eyebrows are starting to grow back which is a sign that all of his body hair is starting to grow back again.
Really like the two camera angles! Thanks for explaining things so clearly and not making judgments about the people in your reaction videos. Always refreshing.
I'm 35 I was balding from the crown, all I do is take minoxidil twice a day, no fin, no derma rolling just lots of exercise, eat healthy and no stress has grown my hair back, bald spot is gone :)
@tone9016 people don't talk about it in videos like this, atleast for me it's what's helped, stressing is a big one I noticed my hair was shedding like crazy when I was in stress mode, study the stoic meditations if u need help 😅
I tried two bottles of wiishcare and two bottles of littllextra reactiivate hair growth serum, and littllextra reactiivate hair serum worked better for me and helped me grow new hair... Overall, it’s a great hair serum... Hoping for the best with 3rd bottle
Great to see a finasteride and minoxidil video that isn't clickbait fear mongering for once, and actually showing how amazing these treatments are! Sad that there is a bit of a stigma, but this video shows how excellent they are.
@Mark Park Fair point, there is plenty of data that shows the overwhelming majority do respond well, even after 10 years of use. However, you are completely right, there is a % of people who the best they can hope for is simply maintaining what they have. Then again, maintenance and not losing any more is still success to many.
your uploads have been so on point lately, i was just doing research on minoxidil as you uploaded this. and the same with your last video on post acne erythema! amazing
I'm a peri-menopause lady with a thyroid condition so thinning hair. Using the generic 2% minoxidil on my scalp has actually helped my eyebrows and eyelashes to thicken up. I was surprised but happy. I have full eyebrows again after all these years, I have even forgotten how I used to shape them!😀

3:55 it's absolutely true what he said here, the problem with minoxidil is the following, when you stop to apply it, you will lose your gain and much more... That what I have experienced when you start minoxidil do not stop
why would you lose hair that was there before minoxidil and unafected by loss before minoxidil? no, you will only lose the hair minoxidil helped you regrow. everything else is delusion.
I’m 51F and on a compounded pill of minoxidil 1mg and dutasteride 0.4mg. I’m already seeing a bunch of baby hairs filling in my temples, which makes a big difference. I’m not seeing a lot of regrowth in other areas but it’s only been 2 months so it’s still rather early. It’s so nice to just pop a pill instead of having to mess with sticky topical minoxidil, especially since I have long hair. I don’t have any side effects either. I’m looking forward to seeing what Dr. Gary comes out with on his online hair loss store! 🥰
I dont want to put your hope down, but my experience using minoxidil was that hundreds of baby hairs grew all over my temples hundreds of them and on my bold area, but they never translated into real hair, Plus I was feeling tired during the day using minoxidil, I tried it for over 6 months with no results other t han I grew a thick beard, then decided to use hair system, one of the best decisions ever, it looks super realistic, I have a beautiful hair that can style, I can take showers go to gym , sleep and swim with it as you would with real hair, and once you are use to the maintenance is very easy to maintain, it cost me around 700 pounds a year is about 1000 dollars a year, since you need to buy new system every year. and I use 2 a year. I have a lot of dates and I couldnt be happier, I look 20 years younger.

After two decades of hair loss that started in my late teens, I finally started to see results last year from 2 things: I had 25 PDO threads placed in my scalp. The resulting hair growth blew me away. For the first time in my life, I felt so much new hair I actually had a stubble on my scalp. A month after this phenomenon, I finally was able to see my derm to get a prescription for 1.25 mg oral minoxidil. I have been using that for 3 months and had a similar growth trigger. I am now going back for another round of PDO threads almost 7 months after I first got them. I am so so excited and have never experienced or even imagined such results
@@JJ-so7ir I am based in Boston, USA but the threads were placed in Lahore Pakistan. The cost was per thread. I paid the equivalent of $450-$500. The person who did the procedure did his residency and training from New York and is well respected. I experienced some swelling on my forehead which went away after 4-5 days. I went in with zero expectations because 3 sessions of PRP had failed on me(those were done in Boston for over $3000) but I was at a point where I was willing to try smth even if it didn’t work. Oral minoxidil was another pleasant surprise. I was expecting increased growth on my face and had already lined up an electrologist to zap away the hair that started to grow on my chin

Dr. Gary Linkov, More Plates More Dates and Hairliciously are the only three UA-cam channels on hairloss that I trust. You can just tell they are authentic with sound judgment.
At the age of 30 I had a mature hairline but it was barely noticeable and overall had a full head of hair but was still worried I'd eventually start balding so I got on propecia as a preventative. A few years later I realized if I buzzed my hair it would look a bit thinner so I stopped buzzing it and kept it grown out a few inches. Today at 46 there has been no changes and I still have a full head of hair. I never got off proscar and I acutally upped my dose from 1mg to 2.5 mg. No side effects. So far it's worked out for me and taking the preventative approach is best. It's easier to hold on to what you have via meds than trying for regrowth.
Really wish I knew about preventative meds and maintenance I was learning to accept it instead and just been shaving my head for the last 7-8 years even before it really was showing much it’s finally noticeable enough to bug me . Was looking into getting a transplant but from the sound of it it seems like there are some good medicine i maybe should try first , really trying to do my research just really hard to get honest reviews and information, this doc is great
@@devon-savage-recovery You should be on finasteride or dutasteride for atleast a year before you consider the hair transplant route. I wish you all the best.
That was great. I shed a ton of hair for about a 6 week period last summer ( 2022 ). Then it stopped. The hair loss was from the top of my head, and I could notice it when I would part my hair. The shedding then stopped. I've read the negative effects of these medicines on testosterone production, so for now I'm holding off on doing anything.

I tried the natural route and it worked. 51yo and i slowed and hopefully stopped the hairloss. Head massages, baby shampoo and a good conditioner...green tea twice a day, eat healthy meals, handful of pumpkin seeds daily too. Minoxidil made my hair fall out....
You're the guy that made me take action against my hair loss. I started taking saw palmetto + other supplements and massaging my scalp with rosemary and castor oil. I'll probably start microneedling in a month to see if the oils and supplements are working. Then I'll add some more stuff gradually if needed
TLDR: Before the shedding phase I had almost 0 hairs fall when massaging the oils on my scalp. Now it's shedding very minimally, but I love that it feels healthier and stronger, and it might be getting slightly thicker. I was extremely surprised that for the first 2 weeks I had almost 0 hairs falling off. Previously I didn't want to massage the oils on my scalp because the hairs would fall, but nothing after a couple days of saw palmetto. I think a month and a half later I've seen very little amounts of hair falling, but it could be the shedding period. I have taken a couple photos and my hair seems healthier and stronger. I could say it's slightly thicker in the crown area, but could be placebo. Regardless, I'm buying the microneedling "equipment" soon so I can start with it. PD: I don't think it has covered my balding pattern, but I have high hopes that in about 3-5 months we could see some changes. I also shaved my head before starting on saw palmetto. So now that it's grown I need a haircut to compare the results the "apples to apples" way
great, and i was wondering about mine cause i start a little bit thinning in my hairlline and crown area and its not even noticable cause i have so many hairs and is it good if i use minoxidil?what do you recommend since am not even shadding that much@@The12231
@@ToeKnee831 hello 👋. I switched to rosemary and pumpkin seed oil. Pumpkin seed is less thick than castor oil, and easier to apply and massage. It seems research points to better results with pumpkin seed, so I decided to try it and I really like it. No strong scent, mixes well with rosemary oil. I'd say start with saw palmetto (if you don't want minoxidil or finasteride) and rosemary + pumpkin seed oil with daily gentle massage in the scalp. Hopefully it helps 👍

I have insane hair growth in 2,3 months as well. Now I'm in the 6 month and the results are impressive. Finasteride 1mg and Minoxidil 5g is what I've been using.
Was your scalp visible? My husband is thinning and he’s really really really self conscious and it breaks my heart. I love him regardless but that doesn’t stop him from feeling crappy about it. Any pointers for me to help him maybe? And did you do microneedling?
@@carliemcarthur5396 My scalp was visible and I have long hair so imagine how much hair is important to me. Only finasteride and minoxidil without microneedling. So I break the pill into 5 equals therefore every part is around 1mg. My friend early balding stages also is using only finasteride and he also improved his hair quality but seems I am better responder.
I had that level 2 loss when I was 22 but I had no further loss for the next 40 years with no treatment whatsoever. In fact looking back at pictures of me when I was 11 I had the same loss because I’ve always had very curly hair so my hair could never cover bits where I didn’t have hair. Now the gray is a bit annoying but I can live with it. I do, like my mother did, have psoriasis (nothing like to the extent she did in her later years yet) but the hair always grows back after a flare up. When the psoriasis goes on a rampage I shave my head because having hair makes it more annoying and when it settles down I grow it again.
@@jadezee6316 Psoriasis and type I diabetes are both acquired autoimmune disorders and there is a fairly strong familial link for acquisition of psoriasis but a very weak one for the autoimmune form of diabetes. Minoxidil helps but the sad side effect is that I got really deep wrinkles on my forehead. Rest of my face is still youthful but my forehead has changed drastically over period of one year.
Topical minoxidil has yielded such great results for me, I was thinning a lot and started to develop a bald spot at the back of my head when I was 18 and Covid had just started, it was getting worse and worse so I decided to just shave it off last year and apply minoxidil After about a year, my hair looks better than what it did at 17/18 I've also seen lots of people who stated it had no effect on their hair growth whatsoever, so I guess it really depends on the patient
I am using minoxidil x1 daily (2 x daily is recommended) (Regaine 50mg/g foam) + dermaroller and have regained some of the hair I've lost around the crown. Without visiting any specialist I came to the conclusion that my hair loss was due to 1. genetics 2. wearing a motorcycle helmet every day for the more the 20 years 3. Age (63). I am realistic and I am happy with what has grown back. Losing my hair has not been as traumatic for me as it is for so many men. I keep what I have short (I've got a great barber) and I am happy as a pig in mud.
@@GregObpar I am not on a pill. Regaine/Rogaine (American product name) foam works well. I have friends who have had hair transplants and they look ridiculous. I spend 60€ every 3 months and the results come without any side effects. I don't know what "pill" you are talking about. A mixture of 3% peppermint oil/ 97% jojoba oil was proven to work as well, if not better than rogaine in a clinical study done on mice. If so, what gauge of needle, and should it be used every single time the oil mixture is applied?
I’d love to hear your take on rosemary essential oil vs minoxidil! Last I saw, some clinical studies have concluded its equally as efficacious, but without the same side effects.
There might be no side effect that be shown for some people but definitely will have back hair shade result if u stop using rosemary also ..I try rosemary oil almost same price as minoxidil but not same visible effect as using minoxidil ...
Hey doc you touched on it in this video a little, but could you do a full video covering guys who are using minoxidil liquid on their face to grow their beard. I know it wasn’t approved for that but lots of videos on youtube showing big growth from it.
I started pumkin seed oil internally and rosemary oil externally. Consistency is the hardest part but I’m going to keep on top of it and see where I get. I’m not balding but maybe thinning,
I’m sorry bro but what exactly do you think oils are gonna do, bring follicles back from non existence? if you’re starting to thin then see a dermatologist to prevent further thinning, and if you really want those hairs back surgery might be the only way unless you get lucky with miraculous finasteride/minoxidil results. Good luck

I get to see several people like you in my clinic. Recently we had a 20 year old re visit us after a year and a half when we prescribed him Min, Fin and Nizral. Guess what? He didn't use it and went from a NW1 to NW3.
My hair started thinning everywhere about a year ago. I do not have a single family member who is bald we all have very thick hair. I went to Bosley and they told me baldness goes back 8 generations and told me that in 3 Months I would be fully bald if I did not get on both Finasteride and Minoxidil immediately and be very aggressive with the usage. I asked the so called doctor if perhaps my daily usage of Kratom over the past 6 Months could have caused my hair loss? …again they were adamant I was naturally going bald and to jump on both immediately. I quit taking Kratom and after about 4 Months my hair came back and thicker than ever. These 2 medications should only be for people with true hair loss. The side effects of these 2 on hormones scares me.

@@godfatheful I used to have center parting hairstyle then I realized I'm seeing more scalp. So I change my hairstyle to side parting. That helps for several months but the loss of hair especially the crown starts to show.. I started using topical Minoxidil and dared not use finasteride as I have stage 3 ckd. It took about 7 months to regain back most of the hair I loss. The-first 3-4 months saw almost no growth. The thickness of the regrow hair started fine or thin and became thicker like the surrounding hair. I used it twice a day and after 6 months, once before going to bed. People with oily hair are best to shampoo before using it. An oily scalp could affect the effectiveness of Minoxidil. Once I stopped using it for about 3-4 months period a decade ago and shedding came back. Recently I stopped using for almost 7 months and my hair got thinner. Even my barber noticed it. I'm going to start using Minoxidil again. A friend of mine has achieved good result with the Minoxidil and finasteride combination.
Looking at the thumbnail, look at how gray and wrinkling his skin has become. It's because minoxidil blocks your collagen production. I used minoxidil on my beard for a little over a year before stopping because it was annoying, and I didn't notice any results. Well afterwards I shaved my beard and noticed that my skin was gray and saggy, and that's when I found out that minoxidil blocks your collagen production causing your skin to age faster. After stopping minoxidil, my skin recovered somewhat, but I still feel like it's worse than when I had started minoxidil. That's why even though I'm mostly bald on top, I will not use minoxidil again.
I've been using minoxidil for a little over a year, finasteride 1mg for about 6 months along with saw palmetto. I don't use a derma roller though I have one. I have definitely seen improvements in hair thickness, quality and new hair growth.
1:30 do generic type finasteride pills lose their effectiveness over time? There are several brands in my country alongside Propecia. So I am wondering whether the generic types are produced differently.
Yes If its generec it means the medication is completely different than the expensive version. For a matter of fact you will grow boobies and vagene and a third ball
If you want to avoid medical therapy such as Finasteride and minoxidil, what are the best alternatives? I use rosemary and permanent oil in a carrier oil and massage into my scalp. I also derma-roller every few weeks. I did take propecia in the early years, but had sides and so stopped. I had a FUT and have definitely thinned a lot since then, so a little worried that I am losing the FUT. However, I don’t want to use meds that I then have tot take for life. Any further tips would be amazing
At least use the minoxidil combined with the microneedling. If the hair fall is aggressive, then just the microneedling will not be enough. Also, I would recommend you topical finasteride solution, combined with minoxidil. That is what I am using and I heard it minimizes any potential side effects.
Try oral or topical minoxidil but not before talking to a dermatologist. If that fails to work and you really wanna keep your hair, going to turkey for hair surgery every few years might find it’s way on your schedule.
First, u don't have to take the meds for life. Only as long as u want to keep ur hair. Second, there is no other alternative than using preventitive medications because nothing natural has ever really saved someone's hair
Thank you for making this video. It answered a lot of questions for me. I have been considering trying minoxidil. I do micro needle every 6 weeks or so and use a multi-peptide hair serum by the Ordinary. I think it helps very marginally to be honest. I am 38 now and I have a slightly receding hairline at the front. I really don't know how to stop it, can hair grow back if the follicle is essentially gone due to hair receding? I don't think it can. I feel like a lot of companies promise things that won't actually work. Thanks again Dr Gary, l always enjoy and learn so much from your videos.
Finasteride and minoxidil are MOSTLY preventative treatments. For MOST people you won’t see any magic new hairline-outta-thin air results, but if you’re starting to recede then it might be wise to see a dermatologist and start taking either finasteride or minoxidil to prevent tragedy further down. And you never know, maybe you’ll be lucky enough to get your hairline back without surgery.
Micro-needling every 6 weeks is not sufficient. Beginners once a month & build up to twice a month. I believe once per week is too frequent & it could lower the effectiveness of a potential future hair transplant
A question for you Dr. Linkov 1:33 You talk about stress accelerating male pattern baldness. I was wondering if stress lasts, lets say 3 years and you've balded slightly for that reason, that you will regain those losses when you've entered a more relaxed phase in your life? Or is it additional on top of the other DHT related baldness?
So once you get your hair to the best state possible? Do you HAVE to use all of these things to keep the hair? Or you would lose all your progress ONCE you stop using them?
If your happy with your progress, you can take min 3-6 times a week and replace with dht blockers such as topical finasteride, saw palmetto, nizarol shampoo. This will keep your hair while minimizing minoxidil use and replacing it with dht blockers.
I’m not seeing any hair improvements after 5-6 months of using oral minoxidil (1.25 mg daily for 4 months then 2.5 mg daily for the following 1 -1.5 month). Topical minoxidil worked for me in the past but I switched to the oral pills because of hair dryness. I expected the oral to work, based on all the positive feedbacks we have been hearing. However, this isn’t the case for me, not sure why !!! I feel my hair lost density and oral minoxidil never regained it…Any thoughts ?!!
Is that scarring rigidity a concern with microneedling long term? Does that modality eventually become less effective over time due to scarring? Is that a case to try doing MN at a shallower depth to begin with once a month? Thank you for your videos!
Never use minoxidil only when you have a male patterned hair loss. While initial results would be very good, later on you will end up with a way worse situation then you had before. Minoxidil can be used only with a finasteride combo, but I would still recommend to use finasteride solo. 0.2mg daily is enough. Also bifonazole is way more powerful then ketokonazol.
Was completely unable to get oral minoxidil unfortunately. Hopefully the low dose version can be made more over the counter sometime. Been on finasteride for 3 weeks with no side effects at least.
Minoxodil in minute amounts in pill form supposedly works very well and even better with another medication for hair loss. I believe this would be a second best option to hair transplants. If you take a pill form of minoxodil I guess you have to take it for life even if that amount is minute. No fun in that either. What helps your hair hurts you sexually. You can't win with hair loss.
"Happy Hair Journey To You All!" ---> The video you spliced into that pub! So funny. Love your channel, would see you in person if/when I need you if you lived close to me. Best of luck!
Another great video Gary thank you! You are looking well. I have a question for you. I’ve always had a very dry scalp, like tough dandruff. Is there anything you would recommend? I would imagine it’s affecting my hair loss (on generic finasteride for over a year and still noticing a loss) :( currently trying baby shampoo and have used apple cider vinegar in the past. Tried many things to be honest. I don’t think the derma pen is beneficial due to my already dry scalp, I’ve use it many times. Maybe a particular oil could help? Coconut oil perhaps or rosemary. Thank you and take care! I’ll look forward to the next upload.
I was really hesitant to start with Minox, I started with dermarolling and minox on beard but was scared to be dependant on Minox for life on hair. But than after few months when I noticed those great results on my bears I started applying also to my hair and couldnt be happier with results. But I also stopped dermarolling because its painful and inconvenient. Im sure if I continued with dermarolling, results would be much better.
im kind of scared of taking finasteride cause im also on an SSRI and im woried that the combination of 2 could make any potential side effects (sexual or mood related) worse althought im on the ssri for 20+ days and havent really had any side effects and i dont really think i will so im asking for your opinion because i havent found anything saying anything about ssri use with along side fnasteride? Also is it true that it increases the risk of prostate cancer because i heard that newer studies disproved that
Dude, this is a very informative video. It’s really cool hearing your review of his review because it puts a lot of what he says into perspective and gives me more confidence that what he’s saying isn’t just BS lol
The French guy is very fortunate to have been born with such handsome facial features and now he also has that full and thick head of beautiful hair. Lucky bastard.
Can you do a video on Pyrilutamide? I know it might not be too much research on it but a lot of people have said they got good results and that its better than minoxidil and finasteride I was wondering if you could touch base on that.
I have a question about some of these procedures shown in previous videos. As a surgeon, you're just rational about it, coming from a scientific perspective. Still, I wonder how people feel after getting face lifts, Botox and fillers. Does it hurt? For how long? Botox could feel numbing I guess, fillers may feel like pressure in certain areas... A face lift for example can't be experienced that normal, there must exist further tensioning or stuff like that? Then why aren't we talking about negative impacts of these procedures? Wouldn't that keep especially young people away from thriving for non necessary procedures and surgeries like that only to achieve a certain popular look?
12:53 This is bs ! How can he almost have doubled his hair in just 2,5 months when hair in general just grows a few millimeters a week ? Each hair on this picture is at least 15 cm long. How can he have 15 cm long hair in just 2,5 months ?
From what I’ve researched people recommend an oral finasteride and a topical minoxidil but you say it could be beneficial to use both as pill form. Which one do you think is better?
I did (am doing) Finasteride and Minoxidil for the past 3 or 4 years (forget when I started) - It made a difference but I did go thru phases of shedding and the hair doctors would just give me the runaround. I stopped the minoxidil because it was causing inflammation and itching and didn't want to keep playing for keto shampoo. I suspect mino was causing thinning strands from the inflammation. I've been off minoxidil for a few months now and have not noticed any shedding. Even for people who had a transplant, you have to be persistent in your pharmacotherapy, because your body is still "fighting" against these newly transplanted hair.
I'm a 56-year-old man who has been taking Propecia orally for 30 years with no issues. My hair scalp situation is quite unique as I have about 5 whorls than the normal man. Despite that and throughout this time, I was satisfied with how my hair is growing with the help of this drug until recently when it's becoming more evident that I am shedding more hair than usual around these whorls. After seeing your video about using finasteride + minoxidil being used together, I decided to add the application of topical minoxidil ("hims" brand) to my daily regimen of taking Propecia orally. My question is: would it help if I also take oral minoxidil on top of all that? I've also been a 10-year caretaker of 2 balloons and 2 stents from an angioplasty procedure that I underwent 10 years ago and despite that, I've always been taking Propecia with no issues. Would taking minoxidil orally be an issue, you think?
no man, use either topical or oral one, not both. since both has the same ingredients, if you take too much you will grow an intolerance and it will stop working.
@@cansozbir what about doing oral and topical finasteride? i mean people take dutaseride with great benifits which would be way more anyway, woukd the combo of oral and topical be more effective?
I believe the dosage of finasteride is really personal, even though the FDA says 1mg per day, you might only need 0.5, or sometimes 1mg might not be enough. check out The Hair Loss Show channel's video about finasteride dose. If I were in your shoes, I would give enough time to finasteride 1mg, about 3 to 6 months, and if I think that it's not enough, if I continue to lose hair, then I would try to get something stronger. That can be done by either increasing the dose of finasteride to over 1mg or switching to dutasteride as how you said. If you're going to increase the dose of finasteride, I don't suggest the topical version of it, taking more pills would be still more beneficial. Before you start doing anything, ask your doctor. @@Pringlebox

I just want to say that you are a great Dr. You are calm and collected and confident. Very good sir
You're the guy that made me take action against my hair loss. I started taking saw palmetto + other supplements and massaging my scalp with rosemary and castor oil. I'll probably start microneedling in a month to see if the oils and supplements are working. Then I'll add some more stuff gradually if needed
update?

@@themeangene I cut my dosage in half…and weened off by taking a small dosage in the morning…then at night as well if I really needed it…it took me about 2 weeks and it was very easy to do…anyone trying to quit Kratom I highly suggest lowering your dosage before quitting all together.
@@Shadowx011 thanks Shadow. I've started losing hair in really random places. I was dumb enough to start using 50 gpd. I'm slowly weaning down hoping my hair returns. People keep telling me kratom has no connection to hair density.
Dr could you please talk about minoxidil and the side effect of wrinkles? Could you talks about it please
I've been using Minoxidil for over 15 years with no obvious signs of increased wrinkles on my face. Just like my brother who isn't using Minoxidil.
@@jacku8304 thanks bro Internet is place full pf rumors, its almost like they want to keep us balding, so how did you respond to the treatment? You just use minoxidl? Did it get your hair thicker? My hair is thinning
Super great video!!
Your eyebrows are hairs are coming back man , may god bless you 🧿
Looking at the thumbnail, look at how gray and wrinkling his skin has become.
People really do not understand the side effects of all these treatments because of watching alot of hollywood stuff. Go Bald with style.
I'd love to see you talking about the use of probiotics for hair growth.
They do NOTHING for hair loss
I've been using minoxidil for a little over a year, finasteride 1mg for about 6 months along with saw palmetto. I don't use a derma roller though I have one. I have definitely seen improvements in hair thickness, quality and new hair growth.
How you take them?is it like cream in the video or tablets?
i'm using finasteride 1mg tabs. Also, should add I use nioxin shampoo.
You mentioned the formation of scar tissue due to frequent microneedling. Does this affect the results of the hair transplant?
1:30 do generic type finasteride pills lose their effectiveness over time? There are several brands in my country alongside Propecia. So I am wondering whether the generic types are produced differently.
Yes If its generec it means the medication is completely different than the expensive version. For a matter of fact you will grow boobies and vagene and a third ball
I watched his video a month ago and I was waiting for your reaction vid..thanks doc
Hope you enjoyed it!
0:20 Remember, Al Garrido was on Finasteride 1mg for 4 years before he started the additional treatments.
@@someguyontheinternet4277 you can only get but so many transplants and youll get over harvest in turkey
First, u don't have to take the meds for life. Only as long as u want to keep ur hair. Second, there is no other alternative than using preventitive medications because nothing natural has ever really saved someone's hair
What happened to your fifa ultimate team?
happy journey to you all in front of the audience really had me laugh out loud
Thank you for making this video. It answered a lot of questions for me. I have been considering trying minoxidil. I do micro needle every 6 weeks or so and use a multi-peptide hair serum by the Ordinary. I think it helps very marginally to be honest. I am 38 now and I have a slightly receding hairline at the front. I really don't know how to stop it, can hair grow back if the follicle is essentially gone due to hair receding? I don't think it can. I feel like a lot of companies promise things that won't actually work. Thanks again Dr Gary, l always enjoy and learn so much from your videos.
Take fin
Linkov 1:33
You talk about stress accelerating male pattern baldness.
You would lose the progress in a period of time, preferably you should keep doing those things
If your happy with your progress, you can take min 3-6 times a week and replace with dht blockers such as topical finasteride, saw palmetto, nizarol shampoo. This will keep your hair while minimizing minoxidil use and replacing it with dht blockers.
Had this video going in the background while doing other stuff and watching in my periphery before actually looking and going WHOA he has hair!!!
Hello Gary, when is the best time during the day to use oral minoxidil and oral finasteride?
Eyebrows look great Gazza. 👌
I have a thought, Finasteride! added to the mix.
idk if anyone said it but your eyes got me sinking in to them
When taking finasteride + minoxidil simultaneously, do you recommend the minoxidil in solution form or is it more effective if both are in pill form?
pills are more potent and more effective
I'm seeing loads of people using rosemary oil. I've also seen studies saying its as effecting as Minoxidil
Is that scarring rigidity a concern with microneedling long term? Does that modality eventually become less effective over time due to scarring? Is that a case to try doing MN at a shallower depth to begin with once a month? Thank you for your videos!
It's explained further in the main video to it.
What country are you in?
@@liamjamesevans USA
Any side effects now?
@@someguyontheinternet4277 still no issues with a 2.5mg dose. Maybe 2 more months before any results may be seen
How did it go
Minoxodil in minute amounts in pill form supposedly works very well and even better with another medication for hair loss.
See a derm, it's possible that you have mild psoriasis. If you do it's a different type of shampoo that u need to use
@@AshwinJoshua999 What about ketacanozole
I was really hesitant to start with Minox, I started with dermarolling and minox on beard but was scared to be dependant on Minox for life on hair. But than after few months when I noticed those great results on my bears I started applying also to my hair and couldnt be happier with results. But I also stopped dermarolling because its painful and inconvenient. Im sure if I continued with dermarolling, results would be much better.
Where'd u apply the minox on your head
im kind of scared of taking finasteride cause im also on an SSRI and im woried that the combination of 2 could make any potential side effects (sexual or mood related) worse althought im on the ssri for 20+ days and havent really had any side effects and i dont really think i will so im asking for your opinion because i havent found anything saying anything about ssri use with along side fnasteride?
Also is it true that it increases the risk of prostate cancer because i heard that newer studies disproved that
Would 2% work for men? Can it grow hair at a slower rate but avoid the dread shed?
Dude, this is a very informative video. It’s really cool hearing your review of his review because it puts a lot of what he says into perspective and gives me more confidence that what he’s saying isn’t just BS lol
The French guy is very fortunate to have been born with such handsome facial features and now he also has that full and thick head of beautiful hair. Lucky bastard.
Can you do a video on Pyrilutamide? I know it might not be too much research on it but a lot of people have said they got good results and that its better than minoxidil and finasteride I was wondering if you could touch base on that.
Thank you Dr. for sharing your professional opinion. 👍
Can you do a video on the potential side effects of these/all medications for hair growth??
Fantastic content
Just ask the question. What the hell are you trying to ask?
I also exercise 3 times a week (something I didnt do before starting fin/mino 3 years ago) and I've cut most processed foods and also added biotin and other supplements.
Finasteride ruined my entire life. Meanwhile these videos encourage young men to take it!
Tell us about. What's the side effe ts that you got

@@DC_Fedens then go ahead and take it. Don't come back crying. won't matter anyway

I believe the dosage of finasteride is really personal, even though the FDA says 1mg per day, you might only need 0.5, or sometimes 1mg might not be enough. check out
The Hair Loss Show channel's video about finasteride dose.
