@@onwardtoyesterday8134 yes you have to program it with key start, when I bought the kit it gave me a link to an instructional video that showed me how to program it, not hard but you need a windows pc

Hi Dave! That will depend on your vehicle, some like mine remember the last setting you left on. Start-X maybe able to confirm if your vehicle remembers the last setting or the owners manual may have this information, Cheers!
I have a 2011 Corolla which I see there is a kit for it. My 2011 is not a push start. I have a an immobilizer key that is inserted into ignition which id also the lock/unlock/panic/ and trunk release. So would the kit still work the same as it does in your newr model?
I love these kits, but unfortunately every kit I've seen will not play nicely with the SLK 'Smart Top' as it also uses the OEM remote the same way. I think the only way to have both is to set Smart Top to off (like when going taking to garage) then Smart X and others would be ok. Great tutorial though, thanks.
Thanks Eddie! Yeah usually combining two aftermarket devices doesn't work very well (specially here since they are very close together in terms of how they interact with the car) Cheers!

Hi Andy! I would start by replacing the KeyFob battery as this can affect the range of your remote (remember the Start-X system only controls the starter, the transmitter continues to be the original one from the car) Cheers!
I just did mine but heater does not turn on. Had to push the start button once for the heater to work. I bought this for the reason to heat up my car especially during winter. What seems to be the problem?
Hi Danilo! Ah remember car's need a while to generate heat (the heat comes from the heater core which is part of the car's cooling system) So how long it takes before you receive heat will be dependent on how long it takes for your car to warm up and produce heat. That being said there are some cars out there with electric heaters (for fuel efficiency) on those cars (like Tesla) heat is instantaneous even if the car has not been running for a while. Cheers!
Thank you Matt! Usually programming OEM remotes only ties them to the vehicle, they usually cannot be configured to perform special functions (even if they have an key label with a function, the programming of a key of is typically only to the anti theft function of the car not the functions). That being said there may be a locksmith out there with special skills that can pull it off (but won't be cheap due to cost of a new OEM remote, programming the remote to the car and then custom programming a key to perform a function). The other alternative would be an aftermarket remote like this one that does not require programming ua-cam.com/video/m94fFgXrJEY/v-deo.html but does have support for remote start. Cheers!
Thank you Nyombi! Ah unfortunately, Start-X has not released a kit for the Pajero, but once they do I will try and update this comment for you. Cheers!
