Omg I’m buying the pink splash syngonium for the equivalent of £8 in Mexico and I thought it was expensive. You can find a lot of rare plants in Mexico for less.
Right?? I recently saw some syngonium albo about the equivalent of $6 US dollars and monstera deliciosa albo from 20$ to 200$ (also dollars) And I don’t have any of those 😅 But I’m working on it, I do have a PWP that some lady was selling on the street at 1$ (again, in dollars)
I bought my dragon scale for $150 in the US on my birthday last year in July 😩 a local shop had them for $17 a few weeks ago. One of those investments that did NOT pay off
Yes! So glad M. siltepecana is getting the love it deserves! They are, in my mind, the prettiest monstera going - They just don't get enough attention. Easy to grow too... definitely worth it for those starting out!
Ahhh look at that hair!!! You are GLOWING! Radiating beauty and confidence. Loveeee this confident you!!! Your essence itself is stunning- watching you grow over the last year is amazing!
I love my Billietae, it is definitely tough, I have it on the ground by the tv and my cat loves to jump around it full speed to run behind the tv. Plus I'm a beginner and it's done well.
Siltepecana is SO easy to grow. I bought a cutting for far too much money and in 18 months I have two FULL plants (UK climate!) It's one of my absolute faves.
So glad I bought my siltepecana as a cutting for less than £15 about a year ago, it's the only monstera I've been able to grow successfully and I love it! It's looking like quite a full plant now
Siltepecana used to be rare and hard to find in the US and then it blew up. People stopped caring about it. I’m also shocked that the cream splash is considered rare now because a couple years ago it was on par with Brazil and I was shocked to see the cost of them recently.
I just bought a 5 leaf established plant with one baby on the way of the Florida ghost for $150, and a melanochrysum single leaf cutting for $60 🥲 I nearly cried when I picked them up bc they were the lowest prices I could find but in amazing shape. Also got a silver pastazanum w/ 2 leaves for $60 ALSO you look rad as hell with this look. So chic.
Kaylee you make me feel special -- the fact that I have two large baskets of Monstera Siltepecana made my day. I didn't know they were so rare. I do love them and didn't only get them for the "rare" factor. Love this video
I just found an anthurium vetchii on Etsy from a US seller for $57. It’s in the mail as we speak, so I can’t speak to the size. But any size vetchii for $57 is a steal IMO
From Wellsprings? They're great. They sell the occasional plug of some really cool plants. I got a alocasia zebrina reticulata plug for $50 last year. It's already growing pups of its own.
I was just curious if you could get the monstera siltipicana (maybe I spelled that wrong 😅) in The Netherlands, and YES! We have something here that is called marktplaats. Translated as marketplace where people can sell all kind of things. Plants are one of them! Lot of little baby’s of this beautiful plant 😍 so maybe not at shops but definitely at “martplaats”.
Weird, in Australia(possibly just in victoria) its way easier to find the silver dragon(starting at 50 aud) and when you find a decent dragonscale they start at 60-70.
Wow monstera siltipicana is everywhere in Australia. Like $12 for a decent vine in big box stores. Mind you 9 months again it was in the high doubles Love your hair love 💕
P. melanochrysum is really fun to grow in my opinion and after getting used to it, it seems to be ok with dappled direct sun (in Central Europe). My small one pushes out 1 leaf ever 2-4 weeks. If you like velvety/suede like plants, I got a raphidaphora korthalsii that's a rather nice shingling plant. Recently cut it back and the cutting rooted rather fast and easy too. Really sensitive to overwatering though. It was like 30ish €?
I've had a decent amount of success with my Silver Dragon; it's certainly done better than any of my other alocasia (I'm glaring at you Polly!). Have mine growing in a glass jar with sphagnum and it's pushed out new leaves all winter. Side note: Sis, your hair and makeup is on point! Love this look
Siltepecana is absolutely underrated. I'm not really sure why bc they're gorgeous and everyone is obsessed with monstera. You totally just hyped it up tho! They'll be $100 per cutting in a month lol
You can get Siltepecana everywhere in the us. I sell them in my rare plant store for very cheap. And they are one of the common (not rare) plants I sell.I’ve seen them at nursery’s. I wouldn’t call them rare over here anymore... maybe in the uk they are tho. And I’m pretty sure Florida ghost didn’t get popular because of you mentioning them. You look gorgeous!!!! Loving the hair and natural makeup.
I love your channel! I'm just getting into plants (built a greenhouse cabinet recently) and you've already taught me so much. One thing - would you consider listing the plants you talk about in the description box? I would love to be able to reference them after without scrolling through the video. Thanks for being awesome.
I bought a Billietaie today for $7 CAD at Gardenworks Canada, I'm so excited I still feel like puking! The leaves are about 6-8 inches long, and I was just eyeing one at a local nursery with leaves twice the size priced at $80 CAD...maybe I feel like puking cuz deep down I feel they miss labeled the plant and I basically stole it.
Syngonium pink splash is around 4.93 pounds 🙊 and dragon scale around 7-10 pounds and aglaonema pictum for 4 £ in India n I thought it was still costly😀
More AGLAONEMAS!!! I have 7 now, and they soooo easy to grow. And those colours. Red, pink, silver, white, cream, spots, splashes. One U have (Pictum) is one of hardest to grow, but others are very very easy to maintain.
People have been finding whole hanging baskets of Siltepecana at some big box stores for $15 here in the US. I haven't been one of those lucky people, but see them posted on Facebook plant pages all the time.
Bought what I thought was a Brazil last spring and now I know it’s a cream splash 🥲 I always wondered why it looked a lil different from everyone else’s Brazil 😅
I’ve got 4/10 which I think it’s great here in Australia. The prices are similar here too. Expect cream splash. I sell them for $300 per one leaf cutting.
Kaylee telling: Philo billietiae is cheap. Then, you, a mortal plant lover fall in love with the variegated billietiae and check the price: 10-12 x the price of the green one, only a single leaf cutting D;
Forgetti also have a variegated form that extends through their seeds when pollinated etc and have a chance of variegated offspring They’re here in Aust through collectors and honestly stunning, check it out KE
That was one of my favorite videos thanks....you are so pleasant to watch.. so informative and you make such sense........the wavy hair looks cute! From Florida....big greetings, Clara
I have a syngonium pink splash, albo, erythophylum & green splash/grey ghost & I LOVE them! The green splash took me forever to find in America though. I actually own almost all the plants on your list! Lol I will say I own the silver dragon & I definitely prefer those over the dragon scale because the care is easier for some reason
I’m loving this hair
Omg me too, she looks like she just walked off of a beach - 🔆 beach goddess vibes going on 🔆
KAYLEE I LITERALLY CANNOT STOP STARING AT YOU???? This look >>>
I love the irony of anthurium forgetii being neglected and forgotten in the shop
Hey Kaylee! Can you do a video on what plants do(n't) well in self watering pots?
Ok so im not the only one who noticed ... are you in love or something? You're glowing girl
She was sweatin!
@@megshush naw that a glow lol
@@brandonpollard8928 she even said in the beginning it's hot and she needs a fan lol
you look like a beautiful mom who makes hummus for her children on the math team
😂😂😂 this is hilariously specific

Odd
😂💀 Spot on
You really look good with this look! 🥰
Omg I’m buying the pink splash syngonium for the equivalent of £8 in Mexico and I thought it was expensive. You can find a lot of rare plants in Mexico for less.
Where in Mexico? Online? Asking for a friend 🤭😅
@Arturo Carrillo Díaz de León wow very good information. Thank you I'm from Mexico but I don't live there
Right?? I recently saw some syngonium albo about the equivalent of $6 US dollars and monstera deliciosa albo from 20$ to 200$ (also dollars)
And I don’t have any of those 😅 But I’m working on it, I do have a PWP that some lady was selling on the street at 1$ (again, in dollars)
Wow that’s amazing! I saw one yesterday selling for $245 😭 I’m in the US
Sometimes when I'm having a really bad day I remember that you're glad I could make it and I feel a bit better.
I bought my dragon scale for $150 in the US on my birthday last year in July 😩 a local shop had them for $17 a few weeks ago. One of those investments that did NOT pay off
It happened to me too for other plants 😂
Yes! So glad M. siltepecana is getting the love it deserves! They are, in my mind, the prettiest monstera going - They just don't get enough attention. Easy to grow too... definitely worth it for those starting out!
Yes, I love mine!! Fairly easy to get (I'm in Australia) and not too fussy to grow... :D
Ahhh look at that hair!!! You are GLOWING! Radiating beauty and confidence. Loveeee this confident you!!! Your essence itself is stunning- watching you grow over the last year is amazing!
I GASPED your skin looks amazing and your hair is stunning with this texture!!! Hope you’re doing well!!
I think 99% of people are going to agree with you on keeping the pictum tricolor alive.
I always thought it was so easy! mine is just starting to grow it's fourth offshoot!
@@Orholam5 that’s awesome! I’ve seen a few very full ones but 99% are 4 leaves at best
I ordered one online about a month ago, I am not kidding when I tell you it has doubled in size and it's November 👀 this is SUCH a vigorous grower!!
Now I'm gonna rewatch this in 2023 just bc I'm curious how much the prices has grown or go down then hihi
It’s like stocks lol
This beachy look is everything on you! You’re glowing and just looking so natural! Loooooove it!
Kaylee that high humidity look works for you girl !
So glad I bought my siltepecana as a cutting for less than £15 about a year ago, it's the only monstera I've been able to grow successfully and I love it! It's looking like quite a full plant now
Okay, I'm LIVING for this whole look 😍
Cheap only for the next 24 hours. 😂
So true! These plants r gonna get expensive after this video 😂😆
She has incredible influence on the market.
I find the silver dragon is pretty easy going and it grows really well! The dragon scale is a bit fussier (or maybe mine just doesn’t like me) ☺️
Siltepecana used to be rare and hard to find in the US and then it blew up. People stopped caring about it. I’m also shocked that the cream splash is considered rare now because a couple years ago it was on par with Brazil and I was shocked to see the cost of them recently.
Philo Melano is my dream plant. So excited to hear they’ll potentially start becoming more available soon.
Im loving your hair and your glowy skin. And the background gives me summer jungle vibes ☀️🌿
I kept wondering if you'd even put a part in the middle. I'm glad you finally did, it really really suits you
I just bought a 5 leaf established plant with one baby on the way of the Florida ghost for $150, and a melanochrysum single leaf cutting for $60 🥲 I nearly cried when I picked them up bc they were the lowest prices I could find but in amazing shape. Also got a silver pastazanum w/ 2 leaves for $60

The Ghost Orchid? Are they cloning them?
Kaylee you make me feel special -- the fact that I have two large baskets of Monstera Siltepecana made my day. I didn't know they were so rare. I do love them and didn't only get them for the "rare" factor. Love this video
Girl , your hair looks so goooood! Those beachy waves are fire🔥.
You are glowing😍
I’m so early! Your hair is so fun! Cheap rares are most of my plants 😂
Regarding the Melano on Logees, the nursery is now putting them up for auction and the last 2 went for around $350-$450 :)
Yeah, not exactly big box store yet 😂
Just up the street from me. Bought one at Logees a few years back for around 30. Propping my plant and have 10 or so now. The mother is a sad sight.
Alocasia dragon scales'leaves veins looks like they draw a "helm of awe" and that is amazing 😻

The cream splash at $215 in Australia vs the Brazil (yellow splash) is $17 from Bunnings in Australia. Wild.
We are lucky here in Australia I managed to find a monstera siltepecana at bunnings warehouse for only $25 so around 13 pounds!
I love the siltepecana. It grows so fast, they don’t like to be as under watered but they tell you. Amazing !
two video in one day!!!! lets celebrate!!!! thanks kaylee and thanks the curls^^
Those are not curls lol

I went to a nursery today and they had an entire tray of Alocasia Silver dragon for $45 each! In the United States
I've had a decent amount of success with my Silver Dragon; it's certainly done better than any of my other alocasia (I'm glaring at you Polly!). Have mine growing in a glass jar with sphagnum and it's pushed out new leaves all winter.

I love your new look! So beautiful like a fairy 🧚♀️
I bought a decent sized siltepecana in a Belgian gardencenter for €15 a few months ago. Was a very lucky find 😄
I'm curious to know how the philodendron cream splash is different from the philodendron silver stripe?

What happened to the few Florida ghosts that showed up in that missing-for-months box?! I’ve been wondering ever since you opened that box.
Could you make a video on types of pots you use and why each pot is best for certain plants? If you don’t have a video on it?
