- Are small multitools worth making? probably not with a 25 year warranty! would you buy a squirt without the warranty?

I think discontinuing the ps4 maybe was too extreme, they could've easily updated it with screws instead of the rivets to make it easy to fix
The original squirt ps4 had torx screws instead of rivets. I have one. Easy to disassemble. Leatherman created the majority of their squirt problem themselves
I own a lot of leathermans. The squirt is maybe my favorite.
The PS4 had screws in some models, I bought one hoping it was one (and was in the product picture) but got a riveted one instead.
Very confused reading this comment under my original impression that OP was referring to the PlayStation 4, then upon reading the replies about screws and rivets, continuing through to the comment about the BOD halting warranty support, I was all of a sudden wondering if Sony has a serious issue with product quality or manufacturing quality.
Imagine my thoughts upon hearing the narrator of this video, while I'm in the middle of being convinced that Sony has issues, refer to the freaking Squirt multi tool line's specific designation "PS4".........
Talk about real time feedback
Edit: oh my god I even skipped an entire comment which would have cleared it up!!
I hope someone gets a good laugh out of my coming up short lolol
@@connortivoli3161 I love you😂😂😂
Back when I was on M1A1 Heavy tanks in the 90s and 00s, we all carried Leatherman multitools and a small fixed-blade knife.
A tank will *eat* a mutlitool as well as any watch that isn't a G-Shock. When the Gerber multitools were first released a couple of us bought them but they never held up and the pliers would always break. After that, the entire tank company swore off Gerber forever and everyone just kept buying Leathermans.
Former M1A1 TC here, I had my Leatherman that I had on my tank from the mid 90’s until a couple years ago when somebody stole it. 😢It was the most useful tool I ever owned, so I bought a Leatherman Surge to replace it. I was really surprised how much they’ve improved from the original tools.
20 years ago they had better quality. now leatherman products dont even survive shipping.
A useful modification i did with my squirt ps4 was turning the tip of the file into a small chisel. I used a course and fine whet stone to grind it to as sharp as I could while keeping the angle broad enough to last. Works great for removing stickers and prying up under thin objects.... felt like sharing 🤷
Nice tip/suggestion. Maybe I will do this to mine sometime.
Nice chisel tip 😂
Never pry with a file......
@nunyafuckinbizniz depends on what you're prying. Rubber gaskets and plastic rivets aren't going to hurt anything.
Props for talking about Victorinox Rally. Kinda underrated model, in my opinion. Everyone usually shows Classic in most EDC videos, while in case you don't need scissors, chances are, having a Phillips screwdriver is a lot more useful.
I’ve seen that Nextool is coming out with a mini sailor scissors edition. That’s probably what I will be getting because it does have a small set of pliers for little jobs but that have a great set of scissors as the main implement. I honestly use scissors more then pliers so it seems like a good trade off for me.
Nextool has been doing some interesting things
The mini for me. Very apply with it. Blade should have a slightly better heat treat to stay a bit sharper longer
@@Robin6512 i honestly wish these mini tool’s didn’t have a knife. They are usually not very great. All they are good at is making the tool less travel friendly.
let's look forward to the new edition.😉
@@Robin6512 hi friends, NexTool already take your suggestions, will feedback to the engineer and quality control depart, let's look forward to the refine.😊
Hi, I'm very surprised with Leatherman's decisions lately. They can be much more, it's been proven. Here in the UK, Leatherman's warranty is to replace straight away, not to fix. I've had my Rebar replaced twice, the second time smaller flat drive just snapped, easy to replace. But they've sent me a brand new tool. I think the quality of replacement tools is lower, also had the reamer and flat driver swaped places. My wife's Squirt replaced twice, like you've said no easy to fix. But Victorinox is fixing the Swisstools, not replacing. I'm not giving up my Classic SD, I have pliers based tool with me anyway. Cheers 👍
It makes sense, you may be right.
On the mini sailor, I've grinded the sim extractor to a mini flat screwdriver for glasses and the scissor thumb to flatten it, works like a charm
Very smart you are. Hoping you enjoy the wonderful day.
I feel like Leatherman did this to themselves when the stopped making the squirt with torx screws.
The original squirt ps4 did have screws (torx), leatherman stupidly changed to rivets. I have a torx one. The scissors spring is certainly defective but it could have be fixed. I believe Leatherman created the majority of their warranty issues themselves just with their rivets and their scissors spring.
I stopped carrying my Skeletool because I found the pliers just a little too small to cover all of my use cases. The Squirt pliers are good for pulling staples - but not much else. My “keychain” tool (which I don’t technically attach to a keychain) is a Vic Compact. Paired with a Rebar or Supertool, I’m pretty well covered.
Likewise. Skeletool pliers are almost never used by me when I EDC it. Additionally, they're so damn uncomfortable to use on your hand!
Most pliers come in so many sizes it’s easy to find one for your glove box etc. and has way more torque for real work.
Same here Vic compact and dark anodized rebar but I am staring on the bladeless rebar .....😉😂
@@jack.charlesc4750 Bladeless Rebar is tempting...
I am woman.
I carry knife with openers and spoon on my EDC at least 10 years.
This year I changed my old "knife+fork+spoon+ all openers" tool to the Vic Compact and to The Leatherman Squirt Ps4,
I am realy happy about purchased Compact, but the Squirt seems a little big bulky for my pocket keychain.
But - I just bought one of lasts Squirt before its retiring. 👍🏻
I'm now hearing about this PS4 discontinuation. If true, I really don't know what to say with Leatherman and their never ending bad decisions, I carry that tool everyday, bought it years ago when it was cheaper and I have a backup. Also, it does Not give me confidence that when they have a good/decent product, they discontinue it.
Why not improve the tool, make it stronger & easier to repair.
You are right about the Micra, the scissors suck.
I received one of the (now discontinued) Juice CS4's for Christmas this past year. Absolutely love it. While that's in a slightly bigger form factor that the Squirt/Micra/Style tools, my guess is that it was a casualty of the same repairability issue you mentioned
Hey, how about pliers in the Micra frame? Kinda like a tiny Rebar :D
There are off-brand tools like that. And they look really nice. I wonder if the Squirt pliers can go in a Micra shell. The Squirt P4 and S4 are interchangeable I think, pliers in a Micra frame could work. We'd lose the scissors, though. Hmmm.
Victorinox sure knows how to make durable tiny scissors and springs. Why can't Leatherman dial in the Squirt PS4 scissors spring? It has been a known issue for a long time, and the reason I never bothered with a Squirt PS4. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen a broken Gerber Dime's scissors spring.
They aren’t interchangeable. I bought one of each hoping to put the pliers on the micra. The pliers don’t swap anyways.
12:16 Not sure if you were aware but you can still get the Midnite Manager which is basically the same tool with an added Red LED key light.
Personally I'm quite interested in the Nextool Flagship Mini, I want a fullscale scissor but having a good one while keeping the plier seems great. Also, while it may be a bit chunky for a keyring tool at least it has the option and it's still lighter than the Mini Sailor. Either way Nextool seems to be the next big thing in tiny tools.
As for Leatherman, I think you summed it up well enough. Hopefully they will replace it with something easier to repair.
I much prefer the basic manager but cool that it exists in that form
Good day friend, I believe NexTool Mini Flagship would not let you down. Action speak lound than just interest😉just go to get it😊
love to see a "ps5" that is easier for them to repair/replace individual tools - someyhing that's a pliers based 5th pocket carry
Got a worn midnite manager and an unused squirt ps4
Would be interesting to see the comparison between the new and old micra you mentioned.
Finally, you provided reasoning for the discontinuation that made sense. Thank you! That said, none of the others are true replacements! We still need the pliers and scissors and screwdrivers in a true key-chain friendly formfactor. Just re-issue but with the removable screws!!
It was and is a tragedy that the Squirt PS4 got discontinued. It's by far the best mini multitool there ever was. Hope they bring it back!
I got a knipex xs and a Victorinox cadet...so I'm pretty much served with pocket tools i suppose, they are a pretty good pair
Edit. I also put one of those big paperclips on my keys, for the emergency wire and the sim card removal occasion, but it's hard to find a paperclip that doesn't lose the chrome finish after a little while
I have a knipex and a bit bar, it covers most of my use cases
I definitely don’t understand why every fold-style tool has to be pliers based. For a Wave, okay… fine. But for smaller sizes, scissors would make a great upgrade. Shame they seem to either suck, or are falling the way of the Dodo.
Appreciate your updates!
The leatherman style sc is exactly what you are talking about and it's awesome. I carry mine every day all the time for years now.
It's their own fault for using rivets.
If the damn Dime, Style & Micra have screws the Squirt could have.
They need to make a "budget" brand with no warranty that sells specifically these "not-profitable to fix" tools. The thing is small and relatively inexpensive, I didn't even think it had the 25-year warranty. Or they need to redesign it, there's no reason the Micra can't have the same or better functionality. Either way, corporate needs to step back and let the designers make a good product.
The Squirt PS4 has been an everyday carry for me. I use the pliers often and never have had an issue. I wish they would have updated it rather than discontinue the model. I also have a Micra that never leaves the drawer simply because of the poor performance of the scissors.
What is the 3rd tool from left to right (on the left side of the yellow Leatherman)? It seems to be quite a compact and a good alternative to the Squirt and Micra. Companies are governed by profit and if some product is not profitable it is natural to discontinue it. I think that is partly why the perfect multitool doesn't exist. Companies need you to buy their stuff over and over again. On the good side of things Squirt would now become a collectable and price will go up :)
It seems like the right size to make a decent replacement, the only text I could read on it was made in Mexico.
@@SomeOne-lc2pc Found it! After some 4K CSI image enhancement :) It reads Model 350 USA which is Buck Knives model 350 tool.
@@aingilizov terrific work! Looks like I'm headed to eBay since these were only produced from 1998-2002ish, still cheaper than a used squirt and possibly even lighter too!
I prefer if they just return the torx version instead of this rivet one, considerably lessen the warranty, and sold replacement parts. They get to keep having profit, we get to repair our tools.
Keep up the good reviews. Been watching for awhile now. Great work sir.
Imagine Squirt done with better steel and Victorinox scissors. I really love that tool. Mine broke but still works (cheapo steel and little nub broke off from regular opening).
Good choice. A sim extractor is the only tool I carry on my keybar.
I have 3 micra tools. all three I have had since they were newly released in 1996 ( bought all three the same day, knowing I would put one in my vehicle, one in my pack and one in my home desk). they still cut very well, even though I have used the hell out of them. I would like to see the nextool, but as a disabled vet, I really don't have the funds to buy things just to see if they are as good as the one I use. a few years ago, I sent my original PST that I had bought in 1985 in for service, and checked the box that it had real sentimental value, and I did get the same tool back, just with the file and flat head drivers replaced, they also cleaned it and sharpened the blade. I do understand why they are discontinuing it, and think that they would have been much better off just going back to screws. I also have an original mini, and I really wish they had not discontinued that one. it is an outstanding tool. I have personally retired the one I have because I am sure that if it were damaged I could not get it fixed at this point. ( Leatherman warranty USED to be unconditional lifetime) when my house burned down in 1996, we found the very roasted corpses of my other original PST and my one of my two original generation supertools. and sent them in with pictures of the house burned to the ground, and the spot I found the tools. they replaced the supertool, but sent a gen 1 wave instead of the PST. I still EDC the gen 1 wave, but have replaced the supertool with a surge. I have a video on my channel with all of the multi tools I own, and show the original PST and the mini that I still have in my multi tool roll.
2 months later and now I recognize one of your tools here. Holy cow you have a brand new Juice S2 there. That's like mint condition.
Good point I couldn't understand why the discontinued it but I'm not alone in having my juice replaced once under warranty! The second time when the replacement broke I just decided to keep it because I saw they would only replace it with a less good tool
Seems like a massive gap in the market for someone to fill. I'd love to see a uk flight safe multi tool.
I got my Leatherman Squirt at Radio Shack, so it isn't travel-friendly since it has a blade. But I wanted to point out here that the slot-head screwdriver on the bottle opener in that version tapers down from the bulge to a tip that is the width of the narrowest portion as you said yours ought to have been. Of course, my model was discontinued ages ago*, but I would never have been tempted to over torque its pliers because it is just a narrow gripper at the tip of the 12-to 20-gauge wire stripper.
*Just like my model of the Juice, which had a short, curved, serrated blade for cutting the seal on a wine bottle to complete its complement of sommelier's tools which was also discontinued years before its peers.
Here in European Union (except UK) you can carry to plane a blade no longer as 50 mm.
All Victorinox 58mm knifes has 40 mm blade.
My Leatherman Squirt has 36mm blade.
It are thavel friendly knifes in EU.
15 years ago I worked in TSA, in my Riga city. Now I called to my airport and asked about blades again. The airport info service answer was: I can carry all small 58 mm SAK models to the plane. I purchased Vic Midnite Manager for my sisters birthday- she will get small "travel" knife.
I don't think the options Leatherman had were just getting rid of the warranty or discontinuing the tool completely. They don't mine them from the earth, they manufacture them. They could just address the heat treat and update the design to include screws. If they realise that the design of any of their tools has flaws to it, they do have the ability to change it and address those flaws.
Your using logic....Leatherman hasn't had that model for years.
@@maxlvledc Hahahahaha this answer WINS 👍😂
I was skeptical about the Micra but he is right. I have the same exact survival cordage and it doesn't cut all the way. Sad to say.
Sorry to hear about the end of the Squirt. I´ve had one on my keychain with a Photon light for many years and I use it almost daily. I lost my original Squirt many years ago and had to replace it with the current version which deleted the awl and added the scissors. I´d rather have the awl as the scissor is a superfluous tool at this size. My knife can cut better than the scissors, plus the scissors spring is starting to act up on my current Squirt. I carry a big multi-tool in my edc bag, but I almost never need it since the Squirt is so handy and capable.
I wish I would have bought 3 of them. 1 to use, one as a backup, and one to keep in the box! Unfortunately mine is pretty banged up but it’s the best for the size. RIP Leatherman Squirt 😢
Had the Squirt with the combo pliers / wire stripper, and absolutely loved it. But I lost it somewhere, and couldn't find another. I don't want just pliers, or even worse, scissors. If the cost were low enough, I'd accept that a long warranty isn't necessary.
Wow, I knew that the Rebar bit adapter could be used on the 84mm waiter combo tool and the newer philips screw drivers on explorers and swisschamps, but never occurred to me to test this on 58mm philips, thanks for the tip!
The nextool flathead driver shape will actually be stronger because the narrow point is at the tip rather that down the shaft where leverage will put more force on it.
Years ago I added a layer to my Squirt and added the Dime box cutter to it. Funny thing is, if some guy in his garage can add replaceable screws to the Squirt why couldn't have Leatherman done that? Ya, I know. Cost of production.
I ended up losing that Squirt. Was a great little multi-tool so was sad to see it go.
So when I travel I carry a series of tools with me. Number 1 is the style ps, 2 the pocket monkey, 3 the geek key, and 4 is the Pressure cult Nomad. The last becomes a fix blade knife when you add a standard box cutter blade to it.
To be honets they could put them on last sale with super low price but they would give huge notice that those models have limited guarantee if you get them... It would be weird, but if that was an option I would buy like 3-4 of them.
I'd still buy it without the warranty. It's a tiny tool and should not be subjected to hard use. I usually modify my leathermans voiding the warranty anyway. Then again, I'm still carrying a Squirt S4, which was discontinued over a decade ago, so clearly I'm no longer leatherman's target audience.
The Squirt S4's scissors look superficially similar to a those on the micra, but they are far superior.
Thankfully just got my squirt replaced under warranty a few months ago
the sog snippet is discontinued?... i litteraly ordered it and it arrived to my mailbox about 2 weeks ago.. i loved it so much that i decided to buy the powerpint for it too, even have matching lanyards on them n shied!1
Never thought I’d see a Supreme version of the squirt on this channel
It was cheapest one on ebay lol
Can't wait for the scissor version of the sailor mini. I really like the sak style pliers.
??? Is this a confirmed model.
since you're objectively more popular than him, if you reach out to nextool I'm pretty sure they'd send ine to you.
Yes as Avginike states. Multitoolsworld recently did a video on the production model that will be coming out and comparing it to the previous prototype model. It's got scissors compatible to the Roxon M2/Nextool Flagship Mini, and in place of the scissors on the normal model it's got a sak style pair of pliers. Also has a file with a chiselpoint.
@@avginike2807 he destroyed a Swisstool from a buddy of mine, was really impressive:P
@@peddypeoples941 he is brutal in his tests. I cringe every time he throws a tool that I would cherish.
Hopefully they fix the spring issue and bring out a successor.
I think you're pretty accurate on your assessment thank you sir
I remember years ago, when I bought my first Squirt, it had Torx screws! I lost that one, however.
I feel like the ultimate small multitool is the Powerpint pliers but with Victorinox peripherals instead (ie vic scissors, vic screwdriver, vic knife etc etc). Had the Powerpint and loved the pliers and the back socket extension but its peripherals are hot garbage imo. Brittle, cheap, downright dangerous at times. The Victorinox peripherals are just smoother and are easier to deploy. TLDR: Powerpint + Victorinox Rambler modification.
100% this
Victorinox could have come out with a swisstool mini, they didnt...would shake up their whole lineup, sounds like a mess.
@@peddypeoples941Victorinox is SLOOOOOOOW in innovations, they like to play it safe. They know their fan base, they love ultra tested tools rather than innovation.
I do agree that Victorinox could easily dominate the multi tool market if they dared just a bit mroe
If Nexto9l makes a travel version, I would buy it immediately.
Have you ever thought of putting heat shrink tubing on the scissors on the very end, do you think is would make a difference?
Hmm, not a bad idea...
@@maxlvledc let me know how it works out
Why not just add the screws to the squirt and upgrade the QC on the heat treat of the scissor spring?
I'm glad I got a squirt before they stopped making them. I've used it to adjust my zero for my several sights multiple times at the range and the pliers are nice for splinters.
I just got Squirt on march 2023. Also feel hapy, I have catched them.
Hope, the scissor spring will not broke.
I still have my old PS4 and it has torx. I also have my even older E4, which has rivets. (But also better philips head AND tweezers.) Love them, both still get used actively. Will be a sad day when they fall apart.
Shocked about the cases of Leatherman sending back a micra instead a fixed tool. That is just disgraceful and disrespectful to their customers. Especially, with the point you made that the micra quality isn’t even good. I got a micra a little while back, and have regretted it ever since. It’s just not good enough quality for the keychain/pocket space. IMO the rambler is the best bet for the average EDC. With the exception of lacking pliers, but you know if you need pliers. If you don’t know if you need pliers….you probably don’t need pliers. The rambler hasn’t left my pocket for months and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Thank you for the updates.
Bought a Squirt for ultra-light backpacking, thinking the quality would be better than the Gerber Dime, since it's well, Gerber. I snapped the pliers within the first week trying to pull out a tag thread off some pants. The Gerber? I've used that to help wrench off bicycle axle lugs. Really disappointing because I liked the Squirt's form factor much better. The Gerber just feels more solid, the tools all snap in and out of place. Managed to get the Squirt fixed probably right before it got pulled. Hesitant now to actually use it for the intended purpose.
Never heard of Nextool before this vid, and am looking at their site now. Thanks for that.
That's wild, I have an old Squirt with screws and a couple of old Micras with good scissors. Now I know not to replace them with new ones.
My keychain tool is an alox Vic Mini Champ with minor mods.
The nextool mini sailor has a terrible keyring loop. If you actually add it to a keyring, the Phillips driver becomes absolutely unusable. What I did was use micro cord as a keyring replacement and now the Phillips driver is usable.
I choose the Nextool Flagship Mini over the Mini Sailor every way till sunday. Awesome scissors and pliers for such a small tool. I used to EDC a PS4 but the Flagship Mini is so much better.
I love my shirt and especially my juice. Misplaced my juice and I miss it!
I stopped carrying my Leatherman 'Squirt' multi-tool because it is not strong enough as an Every Day Carry. When the springs break in the Squirt the pliers and scissors become useless ! Many people have had the springs break in their Leatherman Squirt.
⚠️ For some reason Leatherman discontinued their Squirt multi-tool.
They didn't announce the discontinuation so that they could keep stock for honoring their warrantees.
This also reminds me that I need to raise a warranty request for my squirt. One small slip and I snapped my file. Breaks my heart.
Please take a look at the Kilimanjaro 910055 tsa compliant 9 in 1, I'm curious if it's up to standards 👍
Yep that spring broke on mine too now i don't keep the scissors closed now. I must have one of the old micras cause it works well for me.
Did you know the Leatherman Leap is now for sale on Swiss Shop? Do you think its worth 45.00?
I feel like they are doing the same thing for the Free P4 and P2 they’re always out of stock since the Arc came out and the stores near me don’t have them either
Chicago Knife Works has Leatherman Squirts for $27.49. should I grab one?
I wish Victorniox would make a mini SAK with plyers.
I think I would like a tool that combines the micra and the squirt somehow. Better main scissors that snip paracord as easy as some of the tools you have, give access to the tools from the outside too. I'd use a bigger set of scissors more than a small pair of light use pliers.
What's the third one from the left? You didn't talk about it in the video, the slim one right next to the one with yellow-ish scales?
I've been searching for the perfect mini multitool and the search is ongoing because they discontinued Squirt.
And I also want you to know that I appreciate your channel and keep up the good work….
The lanyard hole and the sissors spring where bad design flaws.
I hope they redesign something with the same tools and form factor.
I love that file, the pliers are surprisingly handy and the sissors although not great do come in handy to cut a loose thread.
The blade and flat head drivers were also not great but useful
Victorinox for the win here. The Spirit beats most leatherman full sized tools and has a lifetime warranty. Most of the Victorinox pocket knives I've had for over 25 years and they haven't ever failed.
Leatherman is cutting corners and raising prices and now discontinuing tools because they can't fix them or have to fix them multiple times and to add insult to Injury, they give you a Micra as a trade for something they won't fix anymore?
Wasn’t aware of this before I sent my PS4 to Leatherman for a scissors repair. They sent me back a Micra, which I already own. Emailed them and said a heads up would have been nice and can I get my PS4 back? I prefer it over Micra for its pliers and file. Radio silence so far.
Hey always enjoy your videos 😊 I didn't know the Phillips driver on the Victorinox Rambler fits the Rebar adapter 😮 I just picked up a Midnite manager because I like keeping a Classic SD or Rambler for a keychain tool and saw good reviews on the manager. Anyway hate the Squirt being discontinued, big LM junkie too 😂 keep the videos coming always good stuff.
If I send in my Style CS will they replace it with another even though it’s discontinued or are they going to send a micra?
I had a micra that I used for 10+ years. Then exchanged it a couple times and gave up. They are not the same.
I just thought about getting a squirt recently. Guess I won’t.
Style ps us definitely unavailable on their website. And I'm BUMMED about it.
Nobody knows scissors better than Maxlvl. Thanks for showing the Rambler that thing is just what I want.
Rambler is boss..and has lifetime warranty
I love my PS4. Been my mutitool for the better part of 7 or 8 years now, and never failed me. The blade is crappy and on par with the cheap knockoffs, but everything else is unbelievable for such a compact size.
how about the nextool mini flagship? is it good?
I'm thinking of replacing Wingman and AAA-sized flashlight with a AA-size flashlight in my pocket, and my Victorinox 58mm classic with a Style Ps on my keychain so I can be travel ready without having to leave anything behind. Can you suggest a better combo?
I have a Squirt and really like it. But I did have to have the pliers break and it replaced.
I still don't get why they discontinued Style CS. My wife uses it almost daily for crafts projects, it gets mildly abused and gummed up with all sorts of hot glues, dyes, and tape residue, I clean it with WD-40 every month and had sharpened scissors probably a dozen times already. And there were no issues with it. I would've bought one for myself if I didn't have the Super Tinker. They should've better discontinued the Micra in my opinion, but who knows the reason.
I'm wondering if leatherman won't create newer tools based on the squirt, this is too bad because it was one of the tools I really wanted... now chinese multitools are quite becoming great mostly from Nextool and Roxon...
Greeting, thank you for your recogniton for NexTool. We believe that our product would be better further, hoping you would get one and enjoy it one day. 😊

Still wished to have gotten a squirt but with Vivtorinox discountinueing many models I have decided to get them instead. Will just have to keep my eye out at garage sales.
Leatherman needs to relaunch the Juice S2 with torx screws!
That was an interesting point on getting the 4 year Amazon warranty... but I can't find the way that you would add that (I'm in PA with billing address in WA). Is that offered upon check-out? When doing a Ctrl-F for 'Warranty,' while on the product page, it only seems to refer to the manufacturer's warranty. Thanks for the videos.
I see it on computer..but not 100% sure it shows up on mobile
This blows goats for nickels. I love my squirt! Bought one for all my friends (all two) last Xmas.
wow i'm sad now. The ps4 squirt was my first leatherman I ever had, my father gifted me it after graduation
The squirt are discontinue and its a collab set with Supreme. Ur lucky to have em
I feel like they did it this way so a bunch of people didn't send their tool in while they still could for warranty they would of had to give away all the one's that they sold at full price. I know a lot of us have tools we use every day that could use service but we don't want to be with out them for that long, but knowing that service would soon be gone and we would not be able to buy a new one we would send them in. I think this is what they knew and why they did it this way, I would like to know once they announce a tool is getting discontinued what is the percentage of up tic in warranty send ins for that tool, I. Sure they track this it wouldn't make sense for a business such as theirs not to

I wonder if you remove the blade, would it be travel friendly. I'm going to try this on my September trip to Canada. I'm going to remove the blade on one of my older multitools. See what happens.
