Really wish Victorinox had more tools without a knife. The fact that planes don't allow knifes i am always amazed there are so few options from the big companies.
Agreed! I never fly but I think an alox pioneer X without blade would kill. 2 layer Victorinox with scissors, can opener, and flat head/pry bar would be incredible.
Even apart from flying, a knifeless Victorinox would probably be on my wish list. Out of the 5 I’ve got, 3 have never had their knives used. The two that have were due to me finding a reason to specifically use it. Strangely though, I still refer to them as my “knives” 🤔
Great video. I do think it's important to mention that in order to use the fisher space pen cartridge in the f701, you do need to trim the spring a tiny bit. It's not hard to do with some wire cutters but it is a modification you need to do otherwise the pen doesn't click very well.
Iv used this pry bar to get screws and nails out of pumptruck (trolly dolly) wheels and the limiting factor has always been finger strength + leaver point. That thing is solid af.
I have the Casio AE1200, best watch ever. I replaced the orange leds with blue on the left and red on the right, it looks gorgeous when the two combine into purple. Also I replaced the strap for a leather band and I'm going to replace the case and faceplate for stainless steel. I highly recomend this watch, really, if you have some money and want a cheap and cool looking watch - go for it.
I carry a Victorinox Mini Champ daily. Got one for a friend this year for just under $50. Also, got my son a Champ for about $70. Great gifts for any guy
Great video, thanks! Nite ize doohickey and Victorinox Jetsetter are in my collection and used often. Also the Victorinox Deluxe Tinker has been a daily carry for about 20 years. Can’t beat Victorinox for EDC.
I love my Hoto driver. I ordered some Hompower Precision S2 Steel 4mm screwdriver bit set 38pcs Bits and it comes with a Phillips number 2 bit that I use all the time. If any of my Hoto bits go bad, I will replace them with this set. I might pick up a Hoto double bit set for bit backups as well. So far all of the bits have been holding up. I carry the Hoto driver with some 1/4 bits, with a bit wrench, 2 extensions in a pocket tool pouch, and my SOG Powerpint, when I am not working. I can get most issues solved with all of this. I also have a Victorinox Rambler and a Olight IR2 Pro on a locking carabiner, that I put on my belt lupe. I got a woman's phone number the other day, since I was able to find the screw with my light and tighten the screw with the Hoto driver. She is really beautiful. I am shocked that I pulled that off. I was my normal dorky self as well. 😆 🤣 😂 😅😅
That Aurora A3 flashlight has a EXTREMELY useful feature that I personally love! That reverse pocket clip works fantastic for a hat clip to use hands free. I'm a mechanic so I use the slightly larger knipix cobras and a olight flashlight with double position clip ATM but I might have to get the A3 now that I saw it.
There were Victorinox glasses and I was absolutely amazed, because it had many tools and because I have myopia so it would be absolutely amazing...but didnt realized that it was on Aprils fools day...😭
The Rovyvon U4 Pro Ti is my absolute favorite keychain s-biner. It is perfect for me. I can't imagine switching it out for anything else currently available. I also love and carry the Hoto tool, the Jetsetter, and various Rovyvon lights (the Angel Eyes E3+ is my current favorite keychain carry)
I do event production, and I always have a SlideWinder in my pocket (and usually another one or two in my bag). I carry it because I don't mind lending it out, knowing that if it gets lost I can get another one for super cheap. I generally check a bag with my tools, but if you have access to razor blades on the other end of your flight, you could remove the blade and carry it on (but again, cheap if TSA decides they don't like it). I've even handed them out to colleagues who have said they like it, since it's so cheap and it helps build a better professional relationship. It's truly one of my all time favorite tools, and there's a lot of competition for that title.
That hat actually made me exclaim "whoa" out loud when I saw the SAK stored in the bill. That's really neat. Too bad I have a small head and most hats (men's AND women's) don't fit me lol. But some of this other stuff I might save for future consideration, especially the Knipex and the NexTool mini plier multitool. I've been daily carrying a Super Tinker SAK for about 11 years and agree that it's a super-useful tool for just about anybody, but the Classic SD is another great fit for the MOST general gifting purposes. People who don't ever carry tools, who never seem to need more than to open a package. Plenty of personalization there as well so you can match the scales to the recipient's favorite color or theme. Just bought two for my mom and sister for Christmas so they can stash easily in a purse, makeup bag, or drawer without taking up much space.
I've also had the Nite Ize Doohickey on me every day for most of this year, but I haven't used it once...I find it hard to give it some kind of purpose. Plus, I just kinda forget it's there lol it's very slim and short.
I have used the cork screw on mine to screw into the end of a pole to use the knife of the saw. It does help to wrap bank line or Paracord around it fro stability, though
What are use for my keys is a 40 sized chain half link at holds anywhere from 4 to 6 keys depending how many washers you put on it and I think it looks better than a regular key organizer
thanks for sharing....seems like many channels are over the top high end things most people would be afraid to damage. My priorities are light weight, simple, functional and affordable. I've always carried Victorinox knives of one kind or the other.
actually yes I do..I am still carrying the arc a lot of the time, but occasionally I switch to a folding knife. When I do I am missing very few features of a multitool at that point.
Personally, I love having the Knipex XS with another plier. Very useful in circumstances where you have to grip two different nuts. Your mileage may vary. I carry a Leatherman Wave+ kit every day in my off pocket (the Wave, half of the bit kit, a bit extension, a 711L tiny ratchet, the XS Knipex pliers, a mini sharpie, a length of micro-paracord, and a small fishing magnet, all fit perfectly in the Wave pouch made to fit the full bit kit).
i swear by the ae-1200, but putting it on a nato strap with the jaysandkays adapter and removing some lettering on the case is a must. absolutely everything can be modded on this bad boy: negative display, colored screen with gel filters, soldering in better/different colored leds, etc. there even is a stainless steel/sapphire glass case kit available online
Wish I'd seen that Nite Ize Bigfoot for under $10 before I blew almost $40 on the RovyVon U4! 😅 One note about the U4: because it accepts 4mm bits, you can use all of the bits from the ROXON mini bit set that comes with many of their tools, such as the KS2 Elite, M2, M3, etc. I tested it out a little bit and they seem to work fine in the U4.
I've been EDCing the F301 pen for a long time now. Fits perfect right beside the leatherman bit extender in the side pocket of my Skinth Solutions XL Shield. Might pick up the Wazoo cap for my brother in-law this Christmas. I caught that Knipex comment 😂
The Casio Royal would be my EDC watch if it was available as a G-Shock. I’ve worn the G-Shock 5600e square for 2 years and haven’t killed it yet. That’s saying a lot as I do a lot of messy work (cabinet building, installing and demo) that eats watches and spits out the dead batteries! Love the world time and multiple alarms of the Royal, and it look’s good too!
Hi, I've just got actually a Super Tinker for £22 in the UK, from Amazon. Great deal. I've got it as a present for my daughter. Also I've been thinking fir some time to chop off the blade of my sd classic and go trogh tsa. I can find it aa cheap as £12 sometimes. I'll let you know if I do that. Great ideas for last minute present. Cheers👍
I have a SOG PowerLitre (I like my wine) and it's an amazing tool for such a tiny size. It's advantage over the PowerPint is the fold-out barb that locks the handles in place when using the bit holder. I carry it in an Olight Otacle A1 Mini that also holds card & cash, plasters, emergency meds, flat USB drive, Zebra eXpandz (great EDC pen for less than a tenner) and lastly an Olight i3t EOS. I have a bunch of rechargeable Olights but the ubiquity of AAAs makes it more versatile in an emergency.
Also consider cheap disposable gloves in your hat. Ive been working on sewing mini pockets in the bottom of my pants for a similar list (bandaids, earplugs, mask) and gloves are great for first aid or just dirty situations
I'll take a look at that Rovyvon torch and Nextool mini sailor, though I do have the Victorinox Nail Clip 580 (I often use the nail clipper and scissors) and Lumintop EDC15 on my keychain, which makes it too heavy.
3 products caught my attention from your video, and just the one I was mostly considering to buy was the first one, the Slidewinder. But oh boy here in Amazon Spain is at 27 euros, cross out the list. The second one is at least decently priced (comparing with US) the Nextool Mini Sailor at 28 euros 👍🏼
Honestly one of the best actual EDC items that u can really use in a day to day basis. Very straightforward, OK price range and does the job. Amazing thank you for this.
Realy, I use that NITE IZE S- biners to attach my Victorinoh Signature Lite and the Leatherman Squirt to my keys. One S-biner is most expensive as to bought Big Foot with five S-biners. So I bought S- biners and left the Big Foot on the shelf. :) S-biners works well- I recomend them!
My powerpint gets daily use, mine has been used so much since April its starting to lose some of the black coating in certain areas. I will be buying it again in the stainless and black just to have extras put away
The rovyvon keychain does actually now do a locking blade version. The only thing I would note, is that it is not perfectly safe clasp mechanism, I have had my keys fall out of it multiple times. Still like it a lot but you need to be careful!
I love the new Olight I3T 2...Much better and brighter than old version. I think it's now the best AAA light. Much simpler to use than Reylight Pineapple mini. Maratac has an even smaller AAA light with tail switch that is pretty good too....and can take a 10440....
What I always hate about a lot of those key systems such as the Bigfoot is that the large opening is always so unnecessarily huge. What are you going to put that on besides maybe a belt loop where it needs to be that big? And that’s the reason why I always stairway from things like that. If you look at it, it just looks like a toy almost. There’s like nothing sexy about it. Like if you think of some thing that dango would make for instance, it would never look anything like that. But it would definitely be overpriced.😂
14:15 I think no one talks about the jetsetter because it is underwhelming with only 2 included tools (plus the tweezers and wooden toothpick), I imagine they have other tools that are travel safe that could have been included?
@@maxlvledc A blade is definitely one of the most useful tools, but I would have assumed the travelsafe market was big enough to draw more attention. It would be very interesting to know sales numbers for each Victorinox model, along with time on the market .
Dude! Ive been carrying the jetsetter for travel and the keysmart nano key organizer for like a year or 2! I even upgraded to the leather version of the nano organizer, which in my opinion is better.
I like the look of that Wazoo Cache Cap. You could put ceramic baking beads in those velcro pockets, wouldn't even set off a metal detector. Y'know, for self defense!
I absolutely love the dual-fuel Rovyvons. I've carried the Angel Eyes E3+ on my keychain for quite a while, and I don't see myself changing it out for anything else anytime soon. Fantastic piece of kit.
Thank you for a fantastic video. I have only recently found your channel, but every video i have marathoned of yours has such excellent content. Thank you for your service Sir!
I thought this for a while but now I know it for sure. First I thought your voice sounded like the LockpickLawyer...who is also Mark from Long Island Watch...and now, after you put the Royal in your EDC list - you must be all 3. Hahaha Great list and great content!
Great video, really good suggestions. Liked seeing your EDC included at the end there, thought it was similar to mine then realised most of my stuff has been recommended in your vids at some point 😆
I have two Victorinox Ramblers. When I'm not traveling I use an unaltered version. I use another version when I'm traveling that I've snapped the blade off and filed down the rough edges. I think that the blade-less Rambler is a better Jetsetter as it adds a file and straight-head screwdriver.
Upon your recommendation, I carry the SOG Powerpint in my jean 5th pocket. I got the black version off of AliExpress for just a little over $30. My wish for improvements on it would be a bigger Philips & Flathead screwdriver head on it, as well as a little mild pry bar (a better Flathead would double as this). The Nextool Philips & Flathead look bigger / better - are they?
The knurling on the zebra 701 is a little too much for regular use...the 402 is the pen to get. I went to pen college so you can trust my recommendation.
I have a mini champ and there's no better keyring on the planet. The amount of function this little thing has is unreal. Edit: i also have 5 other Victorinoxs but its not biased. For camping i use a Huntsman or Farmer alox. The Swiss Champ is literally a toolbox in your pocket. Classic SD in my first aid kit. And a Compact for edc (as well as the Huntsman). Classic multi tools. I wouldn't pay the money for a Leatherman when Victorinox offers more functionality for a fraction of the price.
@@maxlvledcthe one I have is different. The caribeaner side has a phillips on it. And the bottle opener part has a scalloped thing on it. Do I dont know if the others would have that same problem
@@pretentiousname01The one you have is called DoohicKey+ Multitool whereas the one shown in this video is DoohicKey. DoohicKey multitool is better than DoohicKey+
Does the sog powerpint fit inside either the front left or right pocket of the bolder xl wallet? Just wondering before I make the purhase, thanks. Hoping the powerpint fits in the left pocket because I put my olight baton 3 in the right pocket of the bolder xl.
A little off topic, but have you had problems with the opening tab (on your swisstool mx or spirit mx) digging into your hand when using the implements.
How often are people really, actually using the knipex adjustable pipe wrench in their daily lives? If it makes you happy then amazing, not knocking it, just seems a complrtely bizarre thing to see so many people carry around in their everyday lives
Great list! What's your thoughts on the Workpro driver vs the Hoto driver? Both are very similar in form and function. Thanks again for compiling all of this!
Dollar for dollar I challenge you to find an overall better pocket knife deal than the icon knife at harbor freight...I've seen you show a lot of very amazing knife deals...but not one compares to the icon deal at it's full $40 price...let alone it's often on sale with a coupon for as low as $30...D2 steel...g10 scales with carbon fiber inlays...machined clip...ceramic ball bearings...and extremely smooth action ...granted it looks like copied design...but so are many of the knives I've seen you review...a bargain is a bargain...and quality is quality...

If only Victorinox made a Jetsetter with the file/flat screwdriver or a Rambler without a blade, that would be perfect for flights.
Great video! Merry Christmas!
Hmm, not sure. Both are not great. Powerpint has advantage because of bit driver.
Very good video. I have the rovyvon flash light it's great
The knurling on the zebra 701 is a little too much for regular use...the 402 is the pen to get. I went to pen college so you can trust my recommendation.
Great list here. How do you get rid of the black residue that doesn't seem to stop coming off the Knipex?
No idea...it's a finish to prevent rusting.
I like the medium point TOL pens
love your content, your humility, and accessibility
I try. Those are very kind words
My issue with the nite itz pry tool caribeaner thing is that the bottle cap lifter is pointy and jabs me when I reach into my pocket
Ah...I keep mine on belt loop..good point.
Let us know the next time Wazoo has their grab bag. I may be interested this year. 🙂
Will do!
Have you done a review of the xl or a comparison video of both Bolders?
I did! Love them both
@@maxlvledc maybe I missed it in your video list. Can you post a link please
I am waiting for the 2aaa nitecore
Does the sog powerpint fit inside either the front left or right pocket of the bolder xl wallet? Just wondering before I make the purhase, thanks. Hoping the powerpint fits in the left pocket because I put my olight baton 3 in the right pocket of the bolder xl.
100% does, but it's a little bulky
A little off topic, but have you had problems with the opening tab (on your swisstool mx or spirit mx) digging into your hand when using the implements.
Definitely..it's a bit annoying but still usable.
Hoto is a little better..but not much
If only victorinox did a mini plier based tool. 🤔
Pair the Knipex Cobra xs with a Super Tinker and you don't need a one piece multi tool.
I think I’d be a bit more impressed by a review of the Big Foot Locker if it had been removed from the packaging…
I have like 6...but none of them had all of their s-biners with them
ive been looking at the F701 by zebra i will buy it know. oh question: what 10440 do you use for the i3t eos?
Vapecell is best
Great video! Subscribed!
Really all very nice >>>>>> Thank you .
Love Wazoo Gear
26:35 What a combo!
A survival hat....sweet suffering Jesus, ive seen it all now😅😅😅😅
TOL pens are very good
Dollar for dollar I challenge you to find an overall better pocket knife deal than the icon knife at harbor freight...I've seen you show a lot of very amazing knife deals...but not one compares to the icon deal at it's full $40 price...let alone it's often on sale with a coupon for as low as $30...D2 steel...g10 scales with carbon fiber inlays...machined clip...ceramic ball bearings...and extremely smooth action ...granted it looks like copied design...but so are many of the knives I've seen you review...a bargain is a bargain...and quality is quality...
Dominic, do you know if the crunch will fit into one of the arc wallets?
Yes, in the XL boulder
@@maxlvledc thanks
What’s your opinion on the nextool mini sailor scissors version?
I reviewed it in one of my gear of the week videos..scissors are awesome..but it's much worse than plier version.
Great stuff, really though,@ 61… I don’t know that I’ve ever bought a pen…they somehow just end up in my life…funnny huh?
Where did you get the scales for the super tinkerer ??
Ali express
I wonder what do people do with a tool in a plane ?
What was the titanium looking thing in the arc that was shown but not described?
Ah, it's a vero engineering mini Fulcrum.
