FYI, the omega spring on the Remette Chameleon is adjustable to three positions. It’s in the middle hole so you can get it stronger by putting it on then hole closest to the blade!
@@maxlvledc if you look in the knife you’ll see three holes. It should be in the middle one from the factory! Great knife!! Honestly, I have knives in all sorts of locks and price points. Smoothest crossbar I’ve seen out of the box! I haven’t even cleaned it for fear of ruining the action!! lol!

Okay! Am I the only person that is tired of every multitool having a bottle opener? Frankly it’s lazy and insulting that they think I can’t figure out one much less than a million other ways to get into a bottle of which 75% are screw off. lol. Anyway I’m loving the modular systems Goat/Roxon!!
To tell you I believe this is an easy way to add functions and adds one fonction to your tool with 0 thought behind the design. What I hate though it's when you have a slot dedicated to that and not that useful tools. Some manufacturers puts the opener mixed with other tools which I think is nice, because your slot is well used. But I have other ones. Can opener (in Europe it's useless because all our cans have a lever to open them. Glass breaker that one I hate it often takes a whole lot of space and is useless most of the time. In some tools designed for emergency It's fine the tool is mostly made for little use. But for a general purpose tool it's useless and a waste of space. There is tools that can replace these or put them within a combo with a driver or pry tool or even a carabiner...
I would love to see what kinds of kits one could make with the Anti Wallet Organizer Wazoo Patch. I don't think I'll add it to my EDC, but I love the concept.
I love USA small business like Antigear and PLG. Great products from both. Which is my favorite... everything. Thanks for showing them. I will be getting something from both. Only problem with PLG is what to get. Everything looks so good, even the hats.
We've been a long time fan of Gondek & love their product. Will check out the Ridgeline, it just have that cool minimalist look. That Remette Ti will really compliment dad's modded Skeletool, it both has that Transformer look to it. We've got a generic Ti-Mag Pry but the ratchet is on the extension itself. It only has 5 bits though. Will try putting a pocket clip that will also act as a tension on the bits. Reckon the Prytium will be a great contestant for mods, you mentioned a can opener...(light bulb moment), we could also incorporate the tin into the mods. Definitely putting value with all the extras. Perhaps you can do a disassembly of the knives so we can see how delicate it is to clean & maintaining its internals. Cheers maestro. Thanks from Australia.
I'm dying to see a review of the bestech cicadas wing you showed in that short. Finally a crossbar lock that is thin, light, and cheap (hopefully?). Just wish it was in 14c as opposed to 10cr.
I may be alone in this, but I have a number of knives I really like but never carry because the tip of the pocket clip is too flat to the scale and it won't go over the edge of the pockets on the pants I typically wear (Duluth Firehose or Carhartt). I've had the issue of my clip snagging on things a few times and even getting bent, but as annoying as that can be I still want a clip that works with what I wear and I don't have to think about when I'm replacing it in my pocket.
I do like some stuff there however in order to integrate a driver into a multitool most of the designers doesn't seem to think about screws or bolts close to an other surface. I've seen a lot of ratchet with a pry tool where the designers doesn't seem to think that the ratchet need to be to an end of the tool. I personally do have a vessel mini ratchet driver with a couple of low profile bits and it's way better than many multitools despite not having a low angle for the ratchet. I just hope these things are more durable.
Hey Dominic, keep your eye on Fiskars K40 knife. It hasn't made to America yet but very interesting due to hollow handle that can be used to stash ferro rod and some kindling and other mini survival items. Just look it up man. This knife can float. Thanks.
Great video!! I've been wanting to get a Raccoon, and seeing the aluminum scales with the cross-bar lock is definitely pushing me closer to buying one. And yes - I agree 100% on that new clip. I'd swap it for something else. That bill is way too big.
Man, if they clean up that thin pry you showed last, I'd get a few of them. Right now, none of them are cheap and/or functional enough to replace the flat, 4 inch Widgy I keep in my wallet.
I have that little prybar and the ratcheting screwdriver. I was a little sad the bits and extension dont "lock" at the notches in the ratchet. That and the overall size is just a bit bigger than I imagined but i guess that cant be helped with the inbody bit holder and extension. Other than that ive really liked it. The prybar just didnt feel great to me. And I dont know if you tried to change the blade or maybe it was just a little less tolerance on mine but i felt my life was in danger trying to pull that blade out it was so tight.
Micarta with good traction with slim clip in its recessed handle slot. For the working guy (paramedic) need a longer handle, ( large hands) really your videos, I learn a lot. Can you look at trauma shears?
I love to see designers and manufacturers "get it" about aluminum... I've always hated aluminum scales because of the poor grip, but I might reconsider with some good texture. Is the grip on the Stormhowl or the Vosteed Racoon better?
Is the PLG Ridgeway comfortable in a front pants pocket? I could cut some cardboard to the size and get an idea. But, I thought I'd ask for a real world opinion first.
Another good vid. I am anxiously awaiting your long-form Roxon Flex vid. Quick question: have you ever tried wallet options from Big Skinny or SlimFold wallets? I've used a variety of the leather hybrid models with RFID blocking and have been very satisfied.
@@maxlvledc now after your overview of it, I kind of don't want it lol. but that other smaller prybar combo though? now that's what I'm talking about. if only it can somehow store two 4mm bits like the vero fulcrum. so close...

when I asked about designs before posting the maker stated that the no-fold wallet was based on a style he saw all over etsy. he didn't claim to be the originator. One of the things about leather goods is that you can't trademark or patent a specific design. Sorry so many have copied you, but keep in mind much of what happens in leathercraft is built on the work of others.
Usually I’m all up for weird gear gadgets but the Prytium is just bad. Angled 4mm bit driver has too much torque. For this chunk of metal to hold two tiny bits is comical. 1/4” drivers could’ve been angled instead of the 4mm. Actually it’s so huge that I think both could have inline options.
When having an EDC. You have to be honest with yourself the frequency of gear use. I believe that even if you use each of your items once a year they are worth carrying, but if it’s less than that you have to realize you don’t need to carry something. (Firearms aside)
Just a heads up, that leather wallet is a straight up 1 for 1 copy of an Open Sea Leather design. They even made their logo almost identical to his. That's messed up. Please don't support a business that would do that. Support the original designer. He's also a Vet, and his products are all hand made in the USA.
Just a heads up on the Rhino. There is currently a 20% off coupon that will stack with your coupon code. Just ordered it for $26.46 before tax.
yep! they know! and it was their goal!
I agree. Once you have caught your pocket clip and bent it outward it never comes back to the original form.
I agree that the perfect fix for the tri mag is 3 more bits instead of the ratchet. Also excited to see more knives with aluminum scales.
