What I love about Chow Yun-Fat in the ABT movies is that he isn't the lead character - but he IS the interesting guy of the bunch AND the most bad-ass of them all. I like that.
i think the "Gearing up" for war is also a great staple of a good John Woo Movie. loading up and getting ready to go is really cool. John Woo is ahead of his time with action movies. to this day no one other than himself can make a good action movie now.
The scene when all three of them leap over the wall where Kit had to climb over after he got shot is so powerful.. like they are going in and to finish the job.

i've watched this movie over 500 times. its like a theatricl display of the HK underworld. you are drawn to it. it consumes you. although its far from reality, it becomes real as you watch it. greatest film in history. it makes you root for the badguy. but on a lighter side, notice at 4:00 into this clip, they show uncle lung leap over the wall (the guy in the middle) is it me or does it look like he went too perpendicular and in the actual filming, he probably fell on his face? haha..
My most beloved scene 5:47-5:53 Chow's face was so funny when the explosion nearly got to him. And later on... 6:18 is even more funny... "No no no no... sor... leee (sorry)..." XD

I only saw the trailer of the Better Tomorrow remake,but didn't like it,the classic is much more better. About the Once A Thief remake,you got me there dude,didn't had a clue,need to watch it then! xD

@HarpoTheVillain Of course they knew each other, at the beginning of the movie there are guys in Ken's restaurant copying Mark's style, and also the old man who keeps Mark's things knows him too, and he says he was a King of Diamond Hill there (whatever that is) before he went to USA. The only unconvincing part is that Sung Tse-Ho haven't seen him before and he was so close with Mark.
His brother goes for revenge after his brother the cop played by Tong leung dies from his wounds and chow plays the Ken the twin who was killed in prt 1 ..
Loved Better Tomorrow 1 & 2,but the 3rd (is a prequel to the previous,w/ Chow Yun Fat as Mark) isn't so good as the others on my opinion. If you like Better Tomorrow,then,you need to watch Hard Boiled,The Killer n Once a Thief...
