Obi-wan kenobi - who the fuck is Carmelo? And if that is true then why wasn't their original version even close to as good as CARRELL's. It's all good, they're all funny fuckers to me. The only reason I didn't mention Merchant is bc I don't know much about him and he didn't say much in that clip. But I'll take your word for it...
I don't understand how Brittish humor can be for anyone. Don't get me wrong, i love Brttish cyncism but cringe humor is the worst. Cringe is a feeling of discomfort. I never understood how someone could even perceive it as humerous.
@@jesselevine0 British people love to pretend only they appreciate dry/subtle humor. Ignoring the fact that its extremely popular everywhere in the world and always has been.
Love Warwick Davis, he is a brilliant actor, and a fantastic bloke. He has done some great comedy, always spot on. Would love another series of Life's Too Short
Leone Kaiser Yeah I know what u mean, definitely a “few beers and a laugh” kinda guy. But can you imagine a few beers with all 3 of them? Now that would be a good night out...... 👍🍻
I'd love to see Warwick more often. He is a real talented actor. It's a shame this show didn't make it. Hope someday (not too late) they give it a chance.
pookomoo He didn't ruin it. The Office U.S. ruined The Office but Steve was the only watchable part. You can't blame him. And he's hilarious in Despicable Me and probably good in movies he's praised for but that I haven't seen. How can people hate him? He's so normal.
Having three people in the room is important. If he wasnt there it would be odd for Ricky to talk about Steve Carrell that way directly to Warwick. When theres three people its like hes saying it to the room as banter. Saying it directly to one other person is too specific and heavy.
'Was it real?' Yes, that's why there's multiple camera shots that shoot everything perfectly at the perfect time and it's all edited together and... fuck, people scare me sometimes.
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are comedy geniuses. We are fortunate to live in a time where they do as well, their humor is on a whole other level.
snaild0g I think it's just that it's rare to see him in a part that requires him to really act. Usually he just gets thrown in full makeup and costume running around with no dialogue that when you see him in something like this and he's got to be, you know, a human being, you think "Oh yeah, duh, he's an actor!" Most people know him as Willow and Leprechaun, which he's good in but they're not like virtuoso performances. Just campy/fantasy acting which is what those movies required. Star Wars, he obviously has no dialogue. Harry Potter, he's in every movie and his only scene with substantial dialogue is in the last one, as Griphook. And he was great, you know? He finally got an opportunity to prove why he'd been there all along. But it just shows that even with a guaranteed role in every movie in the biggest franchise in the world, even with a standalone name card in the end credits, he still had to wait 10 years for a good scene. And he was still in full makeup. It's pretty much just him and Peter Dinklage, who got super lucky with a great part in The Station Agent and of course he had the chops to pull it off and get noticed with it. Now he's hit the mother lode with GOT. It may still be fantasy, but no makeup, great dialogue, a real character with dramatic weight....I mean, how many other really great roles are there for people that size?
Warwick Davis is absolutely the best actor around hands down, he played on soooo many awesome movies, he played on star wars like twice or more how fucking awesome can it get!!?? Loved the role he did on Narnia and I believe he plays on Harry potter as well. Big fan of Warwick Davis.
Please don't get my Back-Up , Back-Up but I said it to Back Up my point that the "W" was missed by Mary in her comment though I am not trying to be contrary to mary...
@Back-Up Channel Well, Your Honour, on the first occasion it was to synchronise with the Capitals in your nomenclature and just regard the second time as a, er, back up.... As for the third occasion then my disappointment in myself is immeasurable and no words can adequately express my remorse regarding my inexcusable faux pas. I am mortified that I got to make such a schoolboy error and I only try to crave your forgiveness for my brief moment of total complete and utter insanity in making this mistake. I have no excuses and I can only apologize, profusely, for my stupidity, once again. You are a good man for pointing this out to me. I'm inconsolable at the moment.....:(
Talking of "irony" so you say, er, "Life's Too Short" and yet you seem to have plenty of time to be pedantic and correct the grammatical errors of others. :)
As you reading this Our reading town boy stole the show again 2020 globes. No filter an no line he wont cross. Genuis.... I ride by cemetery junction everyday to an from work.. Ricky is a complete reading town legend ✌️✌️❤️😎
i saw him and his family at the grand opening of harry potter park, he was eating but he got to take pics with a few people i got one! he is really nice in person
Carell and Gervais are comedy geniuses. Love Merchant and Davis too
Carmelo isn’t a comedy genius he is just an actor that follows the script MERCHANT and Ricky are the geniuses
Dwight Schrute - yeah, he was way off. What do you think Dwight, Carell-comedy genius? He goes way beyond just reading the script IMO
Dwight Schrute - haha, who by the way is a comedy genius. You're not so bad yourself!!!
Like Carnell but don’t put him on the level of Gervais. Steve is nowhere near as funny as Gervais.
I do love Steve Carell. Our British humour isn't for everyone but it's heart warming to hear and see him take the piss out of himself in anything
Alan Tyson I like how Britain needs its own version of humor lmao
Warwick Davis is great too. He needs to be in more big blockbuster films
I don't understand how Brittish humor can be for anyone. Don't get me wrong, i love Brttish cyncism but cringe humor is the worst. Cringe is a feeling of discomfort. I never understood how someone could even perceive it as humerous.
+ingenjannik interesting perspective...maybe the office UK will change your mind

True but lifes too short
@@cov9290 Not as short as he is
He's very down to earth
Warwik facial expressions on these series are pure comedy gold.
and in ALL of them
Warrick Davis acting at 1:05! Spot on hahaha
Warwick being all happy with himself because he said he's a big fan to steve is the best thing
Warwick seems like a fellow you can have an awesome chat with while drinking a few beers.
or just by eating munches with Karl.
Leone Kaiser
Yeah I know what u mean, definitely a “few beers and a laugh” kinda guy. But can you imagine a few beers with all 3 of them? Now that would be a good night out...... 👍🍻
I’ve heard that Warwick can drink anyone under the table.
+McSuperfly very good
Or in his case a few shot glasses of beer.
I love how steve gets British humour and goes with it. Good on you Steve.
The little smile to the camera Warwick does at 3:02 is fucking priceless.
EzG
does the same at 1:08 too
Its almost like US Office reference 😀😀
As a Canadian, I must say, nothing beats British comedy!!!
I'd love to see Warwick more often. He is a real talented actor. It's a shame this show didn't make it. Hope someday (not too late) they give it a chance.
Lol that dig at “Extras” where famous people pop up as themselves 😂
It's true though, everyone loves Steve Carell.
+cc22ful I'm such a party pooper. I can't stand Steve Carell, sorry lol
+Klate Wilson That makes two of us.
I have half a mind to criticise you for that Aimee...
pookomoo He didn't ruin it. The Office U.S. ruined The Office but Steve was the only watchable part. You can't blame him. And he's hilarious in Despicable Me and probably good in movies he's praised for but that I haven't seen. How can people hate him? He's so normal.
With 7 billion people in the world how can everybody possible love Steve carell?
"you shouldnt be listening steve...not if we aren't friends anymore" :-D
Steve Carell is one of the few celebrities that I respect and would love to meet in real life =D
I don't give a damn. And your smiley is inane.
That's gay.
1:48 that sudden "yep" by steve breaks my heart everytime
Stephen Merchant played a good statue in this clip.
Yes he is brilliant and, he seems to be in control of his ego
It’s his best work I wish he did this always
There's not much said in this scene. Just about enough for two, with an extra (Carell).
Having three people in the room is important. If he wasnt there it would be odd for Ricky to talk about Steve Carrell that way directly to Warwick. When theres three people its like hes saying it to the room as banter. Saying it directly to one other person is too specific and heavy.

Ryan Brown was it real tho?
Nicolás Caro no, its a show

Ryan Brown Yes, thinking is a lost art.
100% real you idiot I just watched it !
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are comedy geniuses. We are fortunate to live in a time where they do as well, their humor is on a whole other level.
Shame they no longer talk
The acting of all three is just briliant.

RIP paints.

I'll get the brush. 😂
Hello Ladies was under rated IMO.
Marcos 989 No one cares tbh
Warwick is a surprisingly good actor, honestly.
John Faker well that is his job

Four legends of Comedy in the same scene = Comedy Gold.
This was such a great series,I feel like this was overlooked, definitely on par with The Office and Extras!
Such great writing and acting. Pure genius.
Omg who doesn't love Steve Carell💗💗
When it cuts to him sitting in his car 😂😂
Are you STILL there Steve? Crying with laughter!!! :-D
It's just a show where famous people appear as themselves xD
Playing ridiculous versions of themselves.
same happens in Extras too and I think it's much funnier.
I love how Ricky and Steve make the same hand movements directly afterwards, 3:54
@@akoc18 wasn't he talking about extras tho
Steve. You are so adorable!
"Inch high private eye." LMAO!
Stephen Merchants reactions without saying a word were 10/10 😂
Love the awkwardness in this.
3:48 is the most meta thing ever. Merchant and Gervais were like "what fourth wall?"
The acting here is so good it actually feels realistic
‘inch high private eye’ 😂
Just shows how many laughs you can get out of one single short sequence. All you need is genius.

Freaking Skype on a Mac, mate. Hitting the red X just minimises it.
Actually closes the window, but doesn't quit the application. The yellow - minimises it ;)
what's the mac alternative ?
(genuine question)
DoubleDowner
cmd + q
Hitting the X on Windows also just minimizes skype...
DoubleDowner PC, for every 1 program on a Mac there are 10 on PC that do the same thing and better.
"I'm not just saying this because I've got a financial stake in the show." A lie if there ever was one. LOL!
I love how warwick whispers to the camera "Steve Carell". 😂😂 0:40
"and 10 billion people tune in to see my name in the credits..." lmao
jesus, i have actually done this in real life, excruciating
I love Steve's reaction at 2:45 !

This was a scene straight from the office. Thinking he hung up on Ryan. And Jan. And a receptionist. And on and on.
“What are you gonna do? Sit outside her house like inch high private eye?” LOL
My favourite part is how there's just a huge The Office UK poster right there the entire time, looking down on Steve.
This really should've gotten a 2nd series
Forgot what a great series this actually was .Going revisit it 😂
Incredible shame that Stephen Merchant’s Hello Ladies was cancelled. It would be an absolute legend show.
2:51 Warwick's face LOL
The matching thumb shrug at 3:55 is amazing.
Slipped in to Brent
