Extras is so underrated and heinously overlooked. Every episode was a gem.
It isn't underrated. This word needs to stop being abused. It was very critically acclaimed and won awards.

We're all talking about Ricky but honestly, Stephen merchant is one of the funniest comedians ive ever seen.
Yeah, stephen seemed like the backbone of the duos writing. So many people give him hate, but the seems to genuinely be the funny one behind the camera. Ricky's great too though.

This makes you appreciate the talent of all of the celebs Ricky had on each episode.. their dialogue was genuinely hilariously absurd and they nail it almost every time despite Ricky unable to contain himself.
Unreal talent, I don't know how they do it.

EXTRA'S was a terrific program that so many of us wished went on for another 2 or 3 years.
Yes sadly he departed from this kind of comedy to much more serious subjects and without Steven Merchant's wit, somehow he lost the right portion of humor and seriousness. It's a shame I really miss them as a duo and I find that Gervais made a wrong decision focusing too much on Karl Pilkingtonesque Humor neglecting Everything that was great and witty from Steven Merchant
Gervais is like Peter Kay, do no more than two seasons so the fans want more but never tarnish the memory of the show

Had a crush on Ashley Jensen from her first moment on this show. Much later, had a chance to meet her. She's every bit as lovely as i might have hoped. There really should have been another season or two of this show. So good.
Loved Ben Stillers “who are you?” bit. He looks around on Gervais jacket for a name tag...that’s how much of a nameless “nobody” he is. Lol, good stuff.

What i love about Ricky is its the kind of banter you can tell he had with his family. He was always funny and so was his family. You don't find out in your 40s. I'm really glad he had the balls to try his hand at music and comedy. So many people are afraid to try who are equally talented. Thank you Ricky you have given me years of laughs and food for thought.

The scenes with Ross Kemp are so funny! I struggle not to laugh while watching this let alone being in front of him and the pressure of not even a smile coming out and staying in character.

Love "Extras", "The Office" and "Life's Too Short" they always cheer me up and get me laughing in hysterics (which is an absolute blessing in this day and age). Ricky's laugh cracks me up every time no matter how much I try not to laugh it's extraordinary. Hah if I was in his place I'd do the exact same (like goof around and crack up at every line etc) because it's impossible not to lol! The actors were all such good sports for doing this. Such good fun and a great laugh. I absolutely adore these series :-D
The part with Merchant drinking and gobbing the tea was easily as good as anything in the actual show. Those two were geniuses together.
