Dig Dug is a beautiful square body, like others have said I was sad when you left Matt's channel but you definitely have a talent for builds and explaining everything and breaking it down..... awesome job Tom Tom keep up the amazing job.
I don’t know what’s in your Sureshot. If it’s brake fluid. DO NOT use chlorinated brake fluid before welding. ITS DEADLY ! Non- chlorinated only. Red Pro Brakleen is chlorinated Green Brakleen is not.
What is easy to forget, watching you and Matt's crew working on these projects, is how much money is in these trucks. By the time everybody gets paid, these things are a long way from cheap.
Between SEMA and Dig Dug, I hope you and the folks at Resurgence get a weeks worth of good sleep! The truck looks great, and I look forward to the finished product.
That guy that showed up with the paint activator and the wood. I guarantee he was a carpenter at one point in his life. Just by the way he held the material and the saw. This is outstanding watching you guys work in another shop.
Driving that thing around like that was TOO FUNNY😂🤣….all you needed was one of those welded chain steering wheels and some rap music!👍🏼👍🏼 that front fender treatment was really nicely blended in!😀
Tom, you should look into Yamabond #4, or any other #4 bond, they all make one. Picture, Permatex, etc… I don’t use any kind of RTV sealant if I can help it. I don’t want to risk any excess sealant coming off and getting into an oil gallery. #4 bond doesn’t come loose and will peel off in one piece. Impervious to oils, gas, coolant. Once you experience it, you’ll be a fan.
One thing came to mind in the first three minutes... Heat from the exhaust heating the fluid in the transmission cooling lines. You may need a bigger radiator, or heat shields along the exhaust, or some kind of increased air flow along the cooling lines. Another thing I have in mind... Would you be interested in building a rock-crawling 2004 PT Cruiser? I've been getting really interested in taking one off-road. A friend suggested putting a PT Cruiser body onto a Jeep chassis.
Break flood bottles with rubber hoses through holes in cap ,insert on bleeders. Keep master full of flood ,one man job. Love the truck ,I have a 78 scottsdale the brown and tan just as yours did look , Chevyes got love them ! !
Tom, I love the way you put your videos together, they move right along but still you still get enough detail to keep it interesting. Keep it up. Thanks alot. Tom from California
You are Living Your Best Life & I’m Mighty Grateful You & The Mrs. Angela Share it with Us. I’ll catch You on the Next One, Keep It Safe Out There Tom Tom.
Thanks for bringing us along. Been watching Matt's Offroad Recovery and I'm a subscriber of your channel as well. Can't wait for Dig Dug to be back on the road👍🏾👍🏾
I absolutely love your channel. I was sad when you left Matt‘s, but I understand, word of advice. Don’t touch the primer with your bare hands. You have oil on your hands hopefully that spot won’t peel.
Blow Tac and Static I thought was just a Robby Layton thing, Dig Doug is turning out to be an awesome rock crawler/ recovery vehicle, the guys at Resurgence Automatically did an unbelievable transformation , thank you Tom and Angela for taking us on this journey
I love the Channel, definitely one of my favorite channels to watch, I wish resurgence would spend a week or or two on my 69 Bronco after you put in a 4 link lol, fantastic work guys
Hey Tom. Thanks for the great mojo you bring us all. I've been watching Matt and his crew and the Fab Rats for a few years now. And all of those friends that you, and us, the fans, have met over the years. My dad has motor oil in his blood and I think I might have some too. Keep up the great vibes.
Disappointed when you left Matt's because of your obvious friendship and design and engineering background balancing his horse sense. However, after your build on Dig Dug I get it. Really enjoyed the deep dive on longarm suspension and fabrication, learn something new each video. Great Series
Really nice for my friend Cat and I to meet you at Dino's. I had a lot of questions that I totally forgot to ask after seeing how good everything was coming along. Dig Dug looks awesome 👌 and yes, you are as tall as I thought you would be. It was a great pleasure TomTom. Bummed we didn't fet a chance to say hi to Angela. Hi Angela ,,👋
Tom, they make a silicone sleeve that has a heat resistant fiber inside it. They use it for hydraulic hoses in a high heat environment you could slip a piece over your trans lines where they run near your exhaust
I live in Phoenix and missed you at the show. Told my wife nothing was happening that say as I really wanted to meet you. Then a 102-degree fever hit me, and I couldn't go. I was very disappointed.
I LOL'd a bit, when you 2 bounced your way from the paint booth to the lift! I know that was a loud, rough ride! 😁😁 Man, your truck is coming right along. It'll be interesting to see the completed transformation! And, it's always nice to see Angela!
Part of the reason I really liked Dig Dug was the home-built look. Now it’s graduated to a bigger budget build, and it lost a little bit of the appeal to me. But hey, it’s not my truck and I’m glad you’re making it more capable as you make it look nicer too.
Man, those vintage Chevys are cool. I remember the day my dad brought home his brand new '71 K5 Blazer off the showroom floor. How I wish I still had that truck! My absolute favorite square body.
I grew up in a Chevy family. The one Ford my parents got was a 1971 Lincoln Continental with that fake tire hump on the trunk. It was in the dealership more than us . And in 2000 when I saw what the new body Chevy Truck looked like with the nod to the 70s hood line I put my big Dodge up for sell and ordered one with everything I wanted a white four door 2500 4×4 ,8.1 with an Alison transmission plus all the bells and whistles. It took almost 6 months . And I got the best price for it in St George .
The sealant you have is Reinzosil. It is German product. Stretten at M539 Restorations uses it on every BMW he restores. It is the only thing he uses and he speaks highly of it every time he uses it.
Wow that was scary Tom cutting towards your arm with the angle grinder. Not a good practice. I am thankful for people who taught me safety. Still did some dumb things but no bad injuries. Australia watching.
Baking paint in the oven should not get you in the doghouse. Loading a pile of greasy tools into the dishwasher will certainly get you in trouble with SWMBO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We want to tell you it was great meeting you and seeing Dig Dug. You are a very down to earth guy. Keep the videos coming and we are looking forward to you getting the grinder stand available.
Dig Dug is a beautiful square body, like others have said I was sad when you left Matt's channel but you definitely have a talent for builds and explaining everything and breaking it down..... awesome job Tom Tom keep up the amazing job.
Tom i was genuinely sad when you left Matt's- BUT I'M REALLY enjoying watching you build DigDug! It was my favorite arcade game back in the day❤
I don’t know what’s in your Sureshot. If it’s brake fluid. DO NOT use chlorinated brake fluid before welding. ITS DEADLY ! Non- chlorinated only. Red Pro Brakleen is chlorinated Green Brakleen is not.
@stevenjacobson8177 huh?
I still miss their banter; they had great chemistry and always kept me laughing.
Screw Matt’s, dudes turned into a douche bag and crew
So many bots in MORR vids now…
It is really wonderful watching these professionals work their magic.
You are Living Your Best Life & I’m Mighty Grateful You & The Mrs. Share it with Us. I’ll catch You on the Next One, Keep It Safe Out There Tom Tom.

Another great video, Tom Tom! I can't wait to see Dig Dug with the paint on it! It's always great to see Angeia in your videos too.
Between SEMA and Dig Dug, I hope you and the folks at Resurgence get a weeks worth of good sleep! The truck looks great, and I look forward to the finished product.
“I been driving all night, my hands wet on the wheel”.. Radar Love.
And it’s half past four and I’m shifting gears.
Looking good Tom...Great support from Angela.
Resurgence has got it going on...
Beutiful machinery at SEMA.
That guy that showed up with the paint activator and the wood. I guarantee he was a carpenter at one point in his life. Just by the way he held the material and the saw. This is outstanding watching you guys work in another shop.
Another great video Tom. Dig Dug looks great. Those guys are so good you could see the years of experience just oozing out of them.
Man y’all Did an incredible amount of work!!
Driving that thing around like that was TOO FUNNY😂🤣….all you needed was one of those welded chain steering wheels and some rap music!👍🏼👍🏼 that front fender treatment was really nicely blended in!😀
I see you have been working hard. Watch out for the safety squirrels.

I absolutely love your channel. I was sad when you left Matt‘s, but I understand, word of advice. Don’t touch the primer with your bare hands. You have oil on your hands hopefully that spot won’t peel.

WoW. Great body shop. Great and highly talented guys!
Those guys are magicians when it comes to body work. Thank you for showing how much work that takes to make things purdy

As a Chevy guy, that show looks like a big deal, truck coming along great! Love the videos
Part of the reason I really liked Dig Dug was the home-built look. Now it’s graduated to a bigger budget build, and it lost a little bit of the appeal to me. But hey, it’s not my truck and I’m glad you’re making it more capable as you make it look nicer too.
Truck is really coming around. Can't wait for the built SBC to be put in it. 🙂
Man, those vintage Chevys are cool. I remember the day my dad brought home his brand new '71 K5 Blazer off the showroom floor. How I wish I still had that truck! My absolute favorite square body.
Beautiful blue. To me it looks like my 1970 Maverick Grabber Blue!!! I loved that color!!!! Nice job RobbyL.
Always educational!
Great Video Tom.. lots of hard word ending up with spending time with the Misses…
Angela is a great team player, for sure!!
MWP Cosby, Tn.
I love seeing all the late 60's and the 70's chevys done up.
its humbling to watch masters at their craft.
Good catch on that bearing!
Thanks, Angela and Tom, for taking us along.😊
I have never done a great paint job on my off road vehicles but with that going to sema I understand.
Great work truck Tom! Thanks for sharing.
Hey Tom Tom your truck is looking really good thanks for your video sir
The sealant you have is Reinzosil. It is German product. Stretten at M539 Restorations uses it on every BMW he restores. It is the only thing he uses and he speaks highly of it every time he uses it.
Rob and Nate do amazing work!
Great dudes at the shop
AWESOME. GOD BLESS. 😇
great as always great content very entertaining good job
What an awesome truck 😊
Wow that was scary Tom cutting towards your arm with the angle grinder. Not a good practice. I am thankful for people who taught me safety. Still did some dumb things but no bad injuries.
Australia watching.
That 1970 GMC is awesome I love it. My favorite body style
Love it ! Digdog will go to look 👀 great.
Baking paint in the oven should not get you in the doghouse. Loading a pile of greasy tools into the dishwasher will certainly get you in trouble with SWMBO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Resurgence automotive is incredible Robin you guys are incredible
Dig Dug is looking AWESOME!!
Is the purpose of those tires to limit how far the vehicle will roll away on slight inclines (besides lowering the vehicle)?
We want to tell you it was great meeting you and seeing Dig Dug. You are a very down to earth guy. Keep the videos coming and we are looking forward to you getting the grinder stand available.
Great work tomtom !!
