Less than 15% of the viewers liking this video with a thumbs up... Come on give this guy and his crew a break and hit that button, they're putting a lot of effort to make these videos. They teach us a lot about working and understanding how equipment works and fixing problems. Clint and Kevin a nice video and thumbs up!
When President Joseph Biden from SCRANTON left $82 BILLION of equipment in the middle east. . . Do you and El Camino Boy feel that could possibly effect soil your future riches.
@@geesss8675 I have no idea what you're saying, I am European and this is not a political channel. This is a entertaining family channel and for those interested a learning channel.
It must be so nice to be able to work with a co-worker that you don't need to tell them what to do, they just know what is needed and move on!!!! Kev is a keeper!!
I used to work with my Dad ! He's Gone now but he taught me everything I know and I miss him sense he's gone ! We did carpenter work and anything else we had to get in too !!!
That is something a ton of people never see, a completely torn down to the bare bones piece of heavy equipment. Thanks, guys. Have a happy Turkey day. 😊
MY FAVORITE KINDA CONTENT ... even tho Clint never misses an opportunity in the beginning to rag on the El Camino ... He just can't help himself

I wish they'd work on that El Camino. My first car in 1977. It had a propane tank in the bed and you could switch from gasolene to propane. I used it to haul cotton trailers to the Gin in the Texas Panhandle.
In the army, stealing parts was called cross leveling. I was called out many times for unauthorized cross leveling. I told them if they wanted things off the deadline list that was the price of business.
Hello Clint, I just wanted to thank you for keeping Gunners dream alive with the transmission that you gave him ( with dad's help ), but if not for you, Mike probably would have scrapped it. So a big thank you to you and C&C equipment for making a little boy more than happy. It makes me feel good for watching some of the best channels on UA-cam, and you and Mike are at the top of the list. Thank you for sharing, Clint, and God bless you.
I've heard other people on another channels talk about y'all Clint how you helped him with your videos on Transmissions winches and other things so keep up the good work
Finally some live action,Tucker has all the Drip,he doesn’t have to smile if he doesn’t want to,he’s busy establishing his future reputation as a solid dude, cheers for the video guys.
RIP Red Dog, seen on another channel he had passed. I think bringing back to life old dozers is a great thing. I have seen how much work the dozer DP got off you has done and is still doing. A great working machine.
My experience with robbing parts - often the newest equipment ended up being robbed because it might not have been handed out to anyone, no users had established "ownership", and the parts were easy to remove and almost certain to be in operating condition.
I'm a retired logger from Southern Oregon, I love how you razz 'loggers'. I also did a lot of wrenching on equipment. I appreciate how thorough you are and your commentary. Keep up the good work. God bless.
Happy Thanksgiving. This year has been enjoyable. All the Auctions, and Trucks, heavy equipment, and work on the lights and new shop. Thumbs up 👍 Area Diesel did some great work on the turbo
It's great watching you, Kevin and your Dad all working together and having fun, doing what you do best. Fixing old/damaged stuff up and giving it a new life. Cheers.
It always amazes me of the power of knowledge----you guys can see the potential of these piles of junk---and make them productive again!!!!!!!! so cool!!!!!!!!
I saw Clint had a mischievous grin when he was removing the rear main seal bolts. I had a good laugh when he started dropping them in the pilot hole of the crankshaft, which Kevin then had to fish out with the sausage fingers. I'd venture to say there aren't too many dull moments around your shop. Keep up the good work, and tell Randy he is doing a HECK of a job. The cleaning guy is the most important guy on the place.
Sad to hear of Red Dog's passing - great supporter of the team and channel. Surprises at nearly every move on this one. Great to watch this - fascinating really. What makes things work that is.
Seeing the OG working with y'all when you became real quiet tickled me. I remember my Dad, who was a World War II US Army Vet who became a barber after he got out of the service had a little plaque on the wall behind his Barber chair that said this " The difficult age has come and lit...I'm too tired to work and too poor to quit " lol
I know you work hard and probably have a tonne of stuff to worry about. These videos show you having a wonderful life playing with spanners and iron. I hope Kevin realises how lucky he is working for you. If he retires next year, you will have thousands of applicants to take his place . A bloke went for a job, the first question he was asked . Can you make tea, yes he said. Can you drive a forklift truck, why how big is your teapot. Thank you for the content.
I worked for a county road crew for 26 years and we would go to the surplus sales and we bought a few items that were torn half apart but all the parts were there we would check out all the components and then put it back together and it would run perfect. The only thing we could figure out is that someone thought they needed new equipment and just made it look like it was junk. It’s a sad world we live in.
This is a great channel.. Hope he goes on a serious diet ,so he lives a long time. I had to do it and I lost 50 lbs. I'm beating cancer withoutChemo or radiation
You can sure tell your dad wants to get in there and help. I don't know if that's good or bad. Keep the videos coming. I hear let's dig 18 Might be looking for a new dozer👈👍🤭
Three hole engine balancer pullers come with assortment of center pins that go where the live center on the puller go,they will go to the bottom of bolt hole to put the center pressure on the crank shaft.
Another great video Clinton. The total tear down was very interesting. Subscriber for a long time, never owned a diesel but I can tell almost everything that is on the engine and how it functions. Always enjoyable. Thank you.
Big fan of the high speed tear downs. They are funny to watch. You guys are on my top 5 channels list. You do amazing work. I also liked the buyer bewares you do especially the Sany one. Thanks
I highly recommend the Area Diesel Service video on the turbo rebuild. He showcases the folks behind the scenes in their shop. Getting things balanced & replacing parts as he says, "To meet the high specifications of C&C rebuilds". And lots of details about how turbos function.
I work for a John Deere dealer before and we’ve worked on a 544. I do believe loader and it had no emissions EGR or anything and they ran it on jet fuel that must’ve been a machine that stayed on the military base because I do notice there is an EGR cooler on it, normally for a machine that we go out into service would not have any admissions
Was that a tad fish in cylinder #1 ? Just watched the Turbo being made perfect. It was almost perfect. Just thinking - now with the other shop storage you might save part assemblies like this under the roof. Just a thought.
When you brought it in I thought we were going to be in for a real rollercoaster, well I wasn't wrong. All that water are you sure that green stuff wasn't seaweed. 😂🤣👍
I was doing a chevy tahoe 5.3 powersteering pump pulley. Well some genius decided to put a car pulley on a truck pump. The diameter is different for the shaft. So instead of them getting the right parts for it. They decided to take a torch and melt it on. From the pulley being to small for the engine and water pump got eaten alive with the powersteering as well. I was using a pulley puller since that is the way you take and replace pulleys. I broke my puller. It was literally welded on from it being melted by a torch years ago from previous owner. Got it replace with a new water pump and powersteering pump with the right pulleys. Runs way better then when my friend got it.
Thanks for the tear down walk thru, hopefully you won’t find a cracked block. Always find something to learn from and enjoy watching you guys give each other the berries. Thanks for the video Clint, headed over to part 2 now.
Im so glad yall got the knives hope it gives yall a lifetime of memories of a wonderful friend reddog. And looks like you definitely have a mess on your hands for sure.
Red Dog sent a lot of stuff to Mike and Aaron. I guess it was the same person that sent the fireman knives to them a month or so ago. Nice looking knives.
With all the stainless sheets down at the udder shop , maybe Tucker can build a strong catch tray for tou ro yse under motor tear downs and something for under the machines that toy tear down and refurbish, just a thought !
Lots of times there wouldn't be a dang thing wrong with the machine that got cannibalized. You would just be told to pick the one with the most hours on it. That machine would give up the ghost to keep a few others running. It usually starts with one little part and the next thing you know it's in pieces. Love these videos.👍
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Always enjoy a tear down video. Almost as good as the build videos. Looking forward to seeing the series. Wishing you and your family the best.
I believe, many of these ‘low timeline’ damaged military machines were used as a quick source for parts.. Cimpany and Battalion Readiness Status is important Mission completion or preparedness.. if parts aren’t immediately available, the needed parts are removed from another, regardless of the hour status. In those cases, I don’t think the intent is ever to replace the part at that point. Especially in a deployment situation or war zone situation.
Have a Happy Kevin, er, uh, I mean Turkey Day 😁. Thanks Kevin and Clint. Have a great week. John here, photographing beauty of the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
With an engine such as this one that clearly has a lot of unknown substance sludge inside it are you reasonably confidant that you will able to get into all the oil and coolant galleries, ports and other nooks and crannies thoroughly so as to be sure that they are absolutely clean? I assume the same sludge issue will also apply to the cooling system including the radiator and heater cores as well? What a huge cleaning and careful inspection task!!
See, if there were railroaders standing around watching you work trying to get the flywheel piece off you'd hear stuff like "hit it with your purse" , "get a smoke wrench" or "get a bigger hammer". They are always helpful and want to see you succeed. It is a shame what happens to this expensive military equipment. I'm certain youse guys will make it good again though. Happy Thanksgiving guys🦃

It’s the way he was reared. 😹😹👍👍

Area Diesel did some great work on the turbo
Kevin wants that turbo for his elbroken car😅
Looks to me to be a blown head gasket and they used stop leak to try and fix it
Happy Thanksgiving y'all
Lots of work ahead of you ! RIP Red Dog 😢
Red dog sends stuff to dirt prefect also sounds like a he'll of a good guy!!!😊
Love the injector launch 😊

I hear tell the Military is going nuts in the South Pacific rebuilding all the old WW2 airfields. Might be more surplus items coming your way?

Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Love your channel and videos my grandpa ran a dozer in WW II watching this on day before Thanksgiving so Happy Thanksgiving

Don't ya worry Kevin, we still like ya. I'll bet if you put a spline shaft on that engine stand then use a 100hp tractor+ it will rotate just fine.

Thank goodness for all the modern conveinances/tool and forklifts. Pus a nice shop to work in. Clint-you have come a long ways, Sir!

I saw the turbo build. It was nearly perfect 👌 and now it's completely perfect. Perfect for the El Camino 👌 😍
Watching you with all this ‘low’ hour military equipment has really taught me a lot! Mostly, stay away from Government Equipment Auctions!
I do like the detective work to find the bad parts. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I got no problems with the emission systems on my Deere machines, works great, no issues. The highway tractors though...what a piece of work that is.
