Death wobble is caused by the tire's racist orientation. Hear me out: I went to the tire shop to get 4 new Coopers mounted, they asked me if I wanted whites out. I asked what he meant, they were referring to the lettering. The tech's eyebrow raised when I confidently replied, "Whites in, blacks out." Realizing my words I quickly changed my mind. And although I hate the look of my new tires now, I've avoided death wobble on my truck AND I didn't get my legs broke that day.

The editing still needs some refinement to sound levels so we aren't deafened by the loud shop noises, they can be reduced and music or commentary played over those parts.

My 2018 F-250 FX4 had the worst case ever. I put new 35's on it and it disappeared, but new shocks and a steering stabilizer are in the works. BTW, it only has 70,000 miles on it!

Sometimes I see people driving on the highway with solid front axle vehicles at around 70mph. I think 60mph would be my top speed with a solid front axle vehicle.

Great content. I have a weird comment/ request. In the beginning of the video you were making the bracket for the reservoir. I noticed you had a contraption that held your 4.5” grinder for sanding. Did you make it custom or buy it done? Do you have any pictures of it? Thanks

My old '55 Willys CJ-5 had a heck of a death wobble at 40 - 45 MPH! Almost shake your fillings out! I put a couple of steering dampers on it and it helped a bit. I have to add that 45 MPH was just about the top speed of the old girl.

My XJ is back in daily duty and even with mostly newish upgraded front end components she walks a fine line with DW. I think I need some adjustable upper control arms to help my caster angle and to get my tires balanced. My ball joints don't feel bad buts that's about all that isn't upgraded.

Death Wobbles on a lifted Jeep? Weird. lolol. I had a 1976 K5 Chevy Blazer with 38" tires way back when I was in High school. It death wobbled terribly... All 4 new ball joints fixed it.... and then I quickly sold that truck to another high schooler. lolol.

I had a horrible case of death wobble in a 06 dodge 3500 cummins. I rebuilt front end besides shocks. The shocked were already faily new. We'll I still got the death wobble. I mentioned it to a co worker. He said shocks. I didn't belive it but I baught a good set of Bilstines about 5 years ago and have never had the death wobble again. Firm deliver in good shocks.

Tom, those bolts may be the right size but aren't they low quality grade 8.8 bolts? In my experience most automobile grade bolts are 5x the price of the stuff at ace and are grade 10.9 or 12.9. Love the build content, thanks!

Most common cause of Jeep death wobble is a bad steering damper. Other worn components will contribute but replacing the steering damper will usually fix it.
