The wiper blade removal tool is well worth it, made the blob easy, less than $10 on Amazon. Thanks so much for putting this together, saved us so much time.
Almost 1 year later and we had to do this all again. Thank you again for your video!
Very welcome friend
Of the several wiper motor install videos on Jetta's/Passats of this year, this one's the best! Thank you, thank you!
Thank you my dude, glad I was able to help👊😎
Best video on the Mk6 re and re of a wiper motor. Clear, concise and well thought out! I really appreciate it
Wow!!! This was incredibly educational to me. This is exactly the kind of instruction I needed to get my daughter's Jetta fixed. The little motor seems intimidated but with your tips, I was able to successfully and safely take care of it. Thank you for suggesting the Removal tool for the wiper arms, I would have never thought that I needed one of those. THANK YOU... I SUBSCRIBED!
You just saved myself and my daughter so much more time. I wish we found your page earlier. I am now subscribed and will be buying a wiper puller tool. Thank you!!!
Your very welcome glad I could help.💚💚💚
Great work - thx sir!!
Solid, easy to follow video. Thanks bro
👊😎
thanks for the great instructions
Your very welcome
Thank you!
Your welcome
you're style is excellent. please do a video on a 2.5 vw vacuum pump and timing belt replacement job
I add it to list ✅️ thank you for the support my dude👊😎
Mine just started making a really weird whining sound. My poor car has the 200k mile blues. A lot of little stupid things but the 2.0 NT paired with the 5 speed has been bulletproof so far
Thanks for the video changed out the motor no problem found out that the arms were stripped. Do you have a good way to find the starting point for the new arms once i reinstall. After taking them off i realized that I should of marked them with something.
some models have wiper replace mod in there mmi, if you have this option that would be the simplest. option 2 would be loose fit them and find the "bottom". i kinda screw the pooch per say on that one my self on another job i did.
And if u mix up right and left wiper arms? Any easy way to tell?
Was it a t30 or a t27?
Tools needed: flathead, windshield wiper remover tool, 13mm nut screwdriver wrench thing, 13mm wrench,
Where did you purchase the replacement windshield wiper motor?
Pretty sure it was a partsgeek.com purchase but it the brands you gotta look for, doesn't matter where you get your stuff as long as the brands you purchase you trust. 2nd cheapest isnt always the best. Some brands don't make them like they should and your wipers will not work properly .... they will work just not correctly... ie might only work on full speed... might auto on for 6 second when you start the car and then shut off...Beck arnley, bosch, febi, just few common brands on vw that you can trust to just work the 1 st time.
Hope this helps. Good luck
same process for a 2.5 passat?
Yeah the wiper arms removal is basically the exact same process few clips I believe are different
I changed the motor and I believe it is a timing issue as the wipers go 3/4 of the way. What went wrong?
I have had to do this job twice before cause a customer used a cheap wiper motor, that said I'm saying go buy a oem one but some will give you issues.
Well I got it from Kenny u Pull.....so it is fair to say "I'm cheap"....or......"just poor"
Either way my wipers are still only going 3/4 of the way then returning. I will try another motor.
Thanks
I'm so sry I read "3/4" not as motion but setting 🤦♂️😂. Are they trying to go beyond the bottom or lower then 0/4?
@@TheRwdyAudi Hi Rwdy
The wipers go up 3/4 of the way. Stop and return to the stop (or off) position. And don't go down any further. And will repeat as long as switch is on.
How do you align the wipers ? Help lol
It honestly a eye balling thing, and lot of screw " well that won't work" .... sry I don't have a better answer.
@@TheRwdyAudi doesn't ANYONE know the answer to this????
Let me tell ya, before putting it all back in, plug it in and balance it on a 2x4 plank so you don't pinch your hands. Turn it on intermediate and let it run. If the posts where the wipers install on rotate left then right, turn off the power, unscrew the linkages from the motor, move the linkages clockwise and tighten back up and run again. Test to completion. The posts should only rotate to the right when it kicks on, then left on the return. Anything moving left first is incorrect. All that to say, I found mine was best pointed at the 7-8 o clock position before tightening down.
Might I add, fantastic video, but man if you don't time them after replacing the motor, you're gonna need new arms. Ask me how I know...
I will make sure to do that next time, ive got a a4 coming in soon to have this same job done....how do you know?😅
@@TheRwdyAudi lol good stuff! Just spent 3 hours taking it out and putting it in to re time it before I realized, maybe I can time it without installing it again lol
