@@SkyRecruit18 ive changed a million tires, never once has one been THAT easy. Starting 10 ft away I can break beads dismount, mount and seat beads back up at just 30 seconds. He spun that tire with duck head on with too little effort. Its a sham.
Marcos Magana tire is definitely not the same size of the rim I change tires all day and can’t toss a tire on the rim like that unless I twist it but still can’t get the top lol
love to see him do that with a corvette tire. looks like the tire isn’t even the same size as the wheel, even if it is, that is the easiest tire mount up ever.
you say that until you have one guy with a scratch free, quality job, bolted on in 15 mins And the other guy is still changing his second wheels sensor, 30 min bay time.
You know who is not impressed? The guy whose rim you just f*cked up lol. Also, I don't believe that is the right size tire for that rim. So much fail in such a short video haha
blackpenguin69 if u ever worked at a tire shop u know how I think he put some Michelin tires on they have soft sidewalls. Either way I would never let discount tires touch my car I work at belle tire and we get so many discount tires costumers with the worst repair jobs ive ever seen.
rollerking360 how did a wheel get messed up by a tire.. i do work at a tire shop, i have been there a while now. ive never seen a tire mess a wheel up.
A tire doesnt mess up a rim😂 i work there and ive been there for awhile and have never messed up a wheel doing that. Some tires that are hot you can slide on like that but that tire was bigger then the wheel
I feel you there. I just did that this past Saturday for our sale weekend. We broke our all time store record. Sold 318 units (if I remember correctly), which is a lot for us. TXA-11
@RideTheBear ... you do realize the tire had to be deflated right? There would be no way to take off the tire with 35+ psi on those tires... Think before you smash down on a great company.... They do FREE FLAT REPAIRS... FREE AIR CHECK AND FREE TIRE ROTATIONS. At some stores even free Balancing... That's what makes DT stand out from all the others... it's not some garage full of ignorant/mindless employees but a family... A franchise... and a company such as chick - fil - a that was founded from good men. Do your research... stand in the bay... and watch how they do it professionally. And he did not scratch it because on the tire changing machine there's a Grove where they place the tire changer/crowbar to where it avoids scratching it. If it were to scratch we would hear it... and they would replace it. If anything DT is barely breaking even because they take care of their customers so well... they do so many free things to bring customers/friends there. So back off and be open minded on the thought of how hard these men work their arse off to fix things for fools like you
By the way everyone, the tire size is one size bigger than the rim. It will never ever fall on the rim. It should be a tight fit for a proper seal, this was set up. I do this 6 days a week.
So many of these comments make me laugh.. "I'd never go to dt" "oh they're scratching the wheel" bla bla bla. I bet 99% of yall have never changed a tire. And it's a steel rim people relax you would have to try really hard to "scratch" it lol. I've worked with discount tire for a year and we stand by our EXCEPTION work and customer service. And if anyone here works for dt/at, try mounting a a 16.5 inch kr21 kuhmo (that's the tire he's using) on a 16.5 inch wheel. We tried it the other day and you'll be amazed how "not special" this video is lol. I'll challenge this guy to a friendly tire change off anytime! Using correctly workflow of course.
Try doing that all day on a sale weekend. Staying on the changer and swapping 12 tires in a roll that properly fit and not the wrong side or mounted the wrong way. CAL-16
And that's exactly how the edge of your rim gets scratched the the fuck up, like mine did today at Americas Tire in Costa Mesa. Then when you bring it to their attention they tell you that it probably happened at the car wash..
I work in a tire a tire shop, I'm very very fast, but you have to give the customer a fresh valve stem, and if they have a sensor, a fresh tpms stem. Cutting corners in this industry is dangerouse.
I use to be able to do an all 4 from lifting the car change balance and back on an drop down the car in 5 min flat back in the day when i worked for discount b4 all the rules came to effect
This is why i don't do business with Discount Tire. It's all about the money and get the next car in here, Can't wait to see the Wheel mount where they put the lugs on so tight it breaks the stud, and they tell you OH WELL see ya next time, and we are not going to fix it.
I could break it down if that's what you guys look at while your racing, but when we race we like to watch the tire changing process and no its not a 15" wheel with a 16" tire
bro without the duckhead, the tire went through the wheel and it slippe off easily when he took it off, which means that the tire he was using is the wrong size for that wheel, because it is bigger. it shouldn't slip in that easily like that
even when he his taking it off, the bottom bead doesn't go over the top rim flange. the kuhmo solus is an easy tire to install. by the way you started changing the tire, this should have taken 10-13 seconds.

I think he skipped the part of training where they tell you to use the proper tire size.
Agreed!
Tire looks to be proper size can't really tell unless you look at the tire. I do lots of ford raptors that have tires that are that loose.

he is 😂
You didnt have to break the bead, change the valve stem, and if there was a sensor you would of broke it. Messing up the work flow
Marcos Magana exactly! He skipped alot of steps

lame... valve not right didn't lube both sides... they should time from when he breaks beads and puts it back on and seals it...

If it was a size bigger, it would just fall on, through and through

discount tire is like the mcdonalds of auto shops. still tho he fast af
I remember when my crew chief brough me the wrong size tire..

literally a 17 inch tire on a 16 inch rim
what region is that? lol. and when do you find the time to shoot video of this? must not be a busy store... ;)

use a smaller tire tho like a 195-45-15 you would have to wait for the machine its self there for will slow u down cool tho

who in the world is actually lubing wheels😐
😂😂😂😂😂😂That’s what I call a too big tire. The correct sized tire would never go on that easily.
Honestly Coats makes the best machines. I love them xD.
he just took it off and put back on. didn't change tire
+Fabian Cruz No shit... That's the point. To see how fast he can do it...
That called professional insane not looking where the sensor is which is expensive as hell
It's not about changing the tire, It's about setting the bead. In which, you did not.
Nice one, Clanked the alloy, didn't change the valve at all, didn't even break the bead.
when you realize that you havnt cleaned or used any deab sealer and you damages the tpms sensor, thats when you say he is pro ladiez and genz
Low profile tires just entered the chat
Aren't they supposed to be working?? Just a thought
Now do it with breaking the bead, replacing the valve stem, and airing it up
the tire is clearly too big for the wheel lmaooo

been changing tires 16 years.that tire is at least one size bigger than the rim to just fall on the rim like that
I actually got my tire change time to 1:22 and that's with breaking beads all the way to sealing... proper steps of course
My fastest time was 1:26. That includes letting the air out of the tire prior.
If most of the techs did that the same way he did they would be at the same time or faster
Now do a 35 series run flat, with a band sensor. Oh and the wheels are 1500 bucks a piece.
Try Cleaning the Rim and sealing the bead. Thats the Safe and professional way.
35.. or about 37 pounds/si of pressure will seal that bead safe as needed.
didn't change the valve stem or even break the tire down himself. Also he forgot to never set the tire on the wheels face. unprofessional.
That's a thing? Never mentioned in the training videos 🙃
No it's not a thing. It's a fucking steel wheel, the tire won't do shit to it
I would like to see a 28" rim that has to be mounted face down with a 295/25/28 tire. They wouldn't even have the clamps 😂😂 or a 32" floor mounted. 👌
