  • Updated Video: • Tire Machine to remove...
    This video shows how to break the tire bead, remove and install the tire and then seat the bead.
    NOTE: I forgot to show removing the wheel weight as this wheel did not have any on it. Make sure you check for weights so you don't damage the rim.
    If you have an alloy rim, be sure to watch my next video on how to clamp a wheel from the outside edge of the rim so you don't scratch or damage it. • Tire Machine Alloy Rim

      Exactly same here. I help out at the tyre shop because my dad says I have to know how it is to work hard/ be able to do these things. It’s not like he wants me to work at the tyre shop though he would much rather have me become a doctor or something. He just says if I fuck up I can always just go to tyres.

    Everything is almost right, except for....
    Need to adjust tire machine from the begining, millimeters higher and away from the rim because if its an alloy rim you wil chip it or scratch it etc etc....
    Also when u install the tire, the valve stem should be parallel to the bar, so u dont touch it or break the sensor... and when u remove the tire you had it correct valve stem shud be behind the the duck head..
    Also when u installing the tire get use to using the bar by pushing down not your hands because if its a low profile tire.. 1st it be easier, 2nd you won't injure your hands...

      You are correct. As I explain, this video is very basic for automotive students learning how to use a tire machine for the first time. If a wheel has TPMS, then extra steps and care must be taken.

    You should never pump a tire up when it's still locked onto the machine

    • @kennethadkins3335
      @kennethadkins3335 7 років тому +5

      When seating the bead the rim needs to be clamped in place to allow the user to lift up or push down to assist the bead in sealing. Also, the 4 jets that blast air from the turn table clamps would not be aimed at the proper point (edge or rim/bead of tire) and might even knock the tire off the machine. After the tire has sealed to the rim and beginning to inflate then yes, it must be released. If you watch at about the 9:18 mark I do release the rim and continue inflating it. Thanks for the comment!

      Drastic Skillz you must not know much then considering you said “pump a tire up” do you work at a tire shop?😂 cause you must not have known the machine has blaster to help seat the bead WHILE it’s on the machine.
