Christy is the absolute worst kind of person. The aggression she showed towards Charity specifically tells me all I need to know about her.
“Im Hispanic” she just a white hispanic, white Hispanic get benefit from both the whit community and the Hispanic community (in form of colorism) like yeah, but your race is technically white and we know how society treated white and white passing people. Her experience is vastly different from an indigenous or mestizos, maybe why she also conservative too 😂😂
@@toxicmaniax5719 yeah I get it. As a white Hispanic myself (I’m Mexican and Spanish, but significantly more Spanish/other European than I am indigenous), that’s definitely a privilege most of us have. That being said, I can recognize that I’ve probably had a significantly easier time navigating society being a “white” person than a more Indigenous Latin American/Hispanic person has. With her though, you just know that her race depends on who she’s with. If she’s with other white Conservatives, she’s white but in a situation like this she wants to claim the minority label.
Y’all sound ignorant, it’s not about skin color it’s about how much effort you put in to change your life. What your saying is racist.

Also Christy: "Having a job is not a right."
Also, why is she assuming that if someone is poor then they must not have a job? MOST POOR PEOPLE HAVE JOBS. Her comment just reveals that she's never been underpaid.

Exactly
This implies that in order to have a job the parents must work for it so considering why arent the parents working and why having a job is not a right combine together shows that in order to get a job and live a successful life you/ parents/ grandparents/ ancestors all have to work hard to achieve that goal the parents should have put more effort in society to make life better for their child unsuccessful people pave the way for successful people and successful people continue the growth.
@@drewdebrocke2656 What if your grandparents were descendants of slaves, that grew up during Jim Crow and forced to live in poor communities, due to red-lining?
“Well why aren’t the parents working?” Wtf does that has to do with it. There are people who work their asses off just to keep providing to their families, even if they don’t have big incomes.
And that's a bummer, but I but what do you suggest we do about it? Socialism? That's a horrible idea.
@@adamduffy164 Genuinely curious but what makes you feel that way? What is it about socialism that makes you feel so strongly?
To answer your question, I think there are lots of things that could help. The system doesn't need to become outright socialist to tackle this issue: raising the minimum wage is a good idea, making education more accessible and affordable is a good idea, having more community service organizations that provide activities and assist in finding work is a good idea.
And I guess I could throw that question backwards, do you feel like it's an issue that there are people working extremely hard yet barely making any income? I personally feel like it is, especially when considering that there are people that have the privilege to be simply handed money through something like an inheritance and not have to work a day in their lives living lavishly while poor people are barely making enough money to provide for their families.
So again... socialism?
@@adamduffy164 the question is why arent u making enough?
@@adamduffy164 Yes, precisely. I recommend a democratic socialism. If people have a say in who manages corporations, as well as being equally represented in all parts of government, then those representatives will have to have the best interests of the people at heart, or else they will lose their jobs. We have enough money to end homelessness in this country, yet it is better for nationalistic pride to keep give missiles to Israel and drone strike brown people overseas. So yeah, I think we should definitely consider socialism. Maybe you should read about it too, before saying muh cuba and Venezuela

"What makes them underprivileged?"
"I would say economic status."
"Then my question is: why aren't the parents working?"
That's the most Republican answer of the entire video. The idea that poor people are lazy or choose to be poor. It might be a single parent household. There might be outstanding medical bills or the parents might have drug problems. Republicans will force a teenage girl to have her baby and then tell her to get a job when she asks for assistance in raising it.

Ewwww×wwwweeeeeww
Because both sides try and generalise way to much, when you generalise and that person fits the bill they're going to speak out your false hoods. Charity should be condemned for bringing "privilege" and race into everything, shes a victim.

Losing friends over political view is means you weren't that close to began with. Once you learn something new about someone's ideology it changes how you see there actions. Saying someone lost a friend cause they did not like each other is normal.
I like jubilee but I often wonder what they cut off.

“Yeah I was stabbed 4 times”
hey-
i was at the university at the time the stabbing happened. just so you know, it was not politically motivated. that isnt true.
Eric Watson never said it was, only that I would like to protect myself
Eric Watson he didn’t say that tho.
That is the problem with the milineal generation! They are very touchy, I've never heard the words "triggered" or "offended" as well as others so much being thrown around so loosely! It is something that is really destructive to people getting along despite different opinions. I am so thankful that when I was in college it wasn't so taboo to have your own thought process.
@ReviewYourFace That is interesting because my childhood best friend married into the last name Gallas and they are from the Philippines, but it is derived from Spain I believe.
Michael: stabbed 4 times and talks calmly without being upset
Hope: a girl in middle school got close to her and cries and melts down
Chief he didn't even think it was a big deal in the beginning, he was debating whether or not him getting stabbed was even worth mentioning. 😂😂 Damn that was something else

64lundyco nah that is not something to ever cry about, especially as a “sensible” adult years later
I love how some people are talking about this, but what America really needs is to take action on these talks. Of course there’s not much a UA-cam channel can do about it besides raise awareness, but I’m just saying

The girl who claimed she’s faced hardship just Bc someone in her school told her she was gonna cry is actually pathetic lmao

Ikr that is soo pathetic. It might be taken as bullying but feeling as it caused your life harm? Seriously? Is this a joke?
But she said he had it worse...she admitted it
I feel everyone here is overestimating the maturity of middle schoolers. Were closer to being adults, but one key thing about us is, as the memes go, were emotional recks (EXECTIONS APLLY, I REPEAT, EXEPTIONS APLLY). I will say, she was kind of over the top, just think people are being a lil harsh is all. and with that, to not spark an argument hopefully, I end this reply.
@@erichammers9240 I can understand why it would be upsetting, but claiming it's on the same level as the oppression minorities have felt? Not to mention shes and adult woman now.
I think the real conflicts and misunderstandings are much more intense than this.
