- Russia has been under major attack overnight with a massive explosion reported at a gunpowder factory due to Ukrainian drone attack. Rostov on Don was also hit heavily, causing toxic black smoke to blanket the entire city within an hour. Russian forces are still losing heavily in Vovchansk, while claiming a marginal victory near Chasiv Yar. Meanwhile the battle for Avdiivka carries on, with heavy losses and a successful Ukrainian defense.

From my experience, the people who listen to Tucker Carlson really don't exercise much critical thinking.
I don't blame Zelensky for not wanting to talk to Tucker because Tucker is a moron, and the people who are in Tucker's target audience are too far gone down that particular rabbit hole to be swayed.
Some people can't be swayed and, in my opinion, time shouldn't be wasted on them.
What is your experience exactly? I’ve read this comment or those similar to it here several times now, but I get the impression none of those saying such things have ever actually engaged in any conversation with his “target audience.” I have, and I’ve changed many minds on the subject of this war. The larger picture is the easiest route. The devil is in the details, and that’s exactly where putin twists, bends, and distorts reality as an excuse to commit endless atrocities.
I don’t think your experience has as much to do with your lack of tolerance for trying to understand viewpoints you disagree with.
In the end, it doesn’t matter. It makes zero difference. This war will continue, and those you despise will continue to have a large say in how the US contributes to it. Hyper-partisanship is as set in your mind as it is many others, and the pendulum will continue to swing…
When politicians convince you that other citizens, rather than the politicians themselves, are your enemies, you have become a tool of your own destruction.

I don't waste my time with people who, for whatever reason, cannot reside in reality like normal people.
I am not going to try to understand a viewpoint that is filled with hatred, religious intolerance, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, gay and transphobia, ridiculous conspiracy theories and dislike for our system of Governance and willful ignorance of International relations as well as the workings of our own Government.
I am not going to "try to understand" a viewpoint that by its very nature is potentially harmful and dangerous to my fellow Americans, regardless of who they are, what they are or what they believe.
If these types like Russia and Putin so much, they should move there.
I guarantee that if they did, it would not be long before they begged to come back.

So many times those interested in military moves also loves the authoritarian view... or fool themselves into thinking 'strong men' can also follow democratic law. Yes I agree. It surprises me that the Kerch bridge is still standing .This bridge should have been taken out at the vey beginning of the war because it is an important supply route for Russian forces.
But the bridge does such a good job if sucking away air defenses from the rest of Russia. By saving this one supply route, Russia has sacrificed obscene amounts of critical infrastructure around the country.
Ukraine’s counter peace: Leave all 91’s Ukraine territories and we can have peace all day and night.

Matt, understand all those interviews are EDITED,. Just like you edit your videos, Tucker Carlson and his peeps would edit the interview to put HIS point of view in the best light. Don't trust those guys to present an interview with Zalensky in any other way!
Many interviews include a clause in the agreement signed by all parties before it's done that the interviewed party has to approve of the final version, in fact it's almost certain that this was part of the agreement the interview with Carlson did with Putin. I don't like him but if he'd agree to such a clause being included it'd actually be a good idea.

Regarding the Corvette provided FOC by Turkey, my belief is that Turkey will require the use of Sevastopol in return for favours like this, replacing the Russians, so they can dominate the back sea once Ukraine has recovered Crimea. Also, Crimea was originally part of the Ottoman Empire, so there are some historical connections and the Turks definitely have plans to create a union of sorts among all the central Asian Turkic states, possibly even extending into the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region should China fail and break up, as some have suggested might happen, so an ally like Ukraine would be good for Turkey in the future.

A recent comprehensive study of bald eagle populations found 50% had chronic lead poisoning and 33% acute poisoning. Its lead ammunition that is the main culprit. Eagles scavenge unrecovered kills and gut piles, ingesting lead fragments from bullets. Bioaccumulation from eating alot of fish is a minor contributor to the lead problem. Hunters and gun enthusiasts have lead free ammunition options but it costs a bit more so few choose it. So its hunters and outdoor gun recreation that are poisoning eagles, as well as exposing many of their own families to lead injury. Seeing as people are not choosing to be responsible with their lead ammunition, to curb the harm inflicted a societal mechanism must be implemented to get lead out of bullets.
Like a ban on lead bullets, a surcharge, or the like. I volunteer at a wildlife rescue, and can say from firsthand experience that the suffering is grave in a lead poisoned eagle, eventually leading to death for many.
Utterly false conclusions. They said the same about condors. They blamed lead ammunition and banned it in several states. As time went on, they not only noticed zero improvement, it actually got worse. Turns out, the condors were roosting on old towers covered in lead paint.
