- Russian troops broke through Ukrainian positions and secured the strategically important eastern city of Chasiv Yar.
A Ukrainian military spokesman said on state television on Thursday that Kremlin troops had withdrawn from parts of the city after months of shelling.
Former military intelligence officer Philip Ingram says NATO “don’t have enough” weaponry to supply Ukraine in order for them to defeat Russia.
“There is a limit to what can be given and there’s also a limit to what Ukraine can receive and deal with.”

Russia kept all its heavy industrial capacity, Western countries didn't. We exported most of our heavy industry abroad to China, India, and South America. Also, the Russian war machine is state run, while Western companies run on profit. Both these things means Russia far outproduces the West in arms and ammunition manufacture and much more cheaply. It would take three years for the West to reach the output capacity of Russian output as it is today. Russia has destroyed virtually everything sent over the past two year and the West physically doesn't have anything more to give Ukraine. Most of the money sent to Ukraine is used for their politicians, the state and civil service to keep the country running. And a lot of it is laundered back to the USA to their corrupt politicians. For years, Russia concentrated mainly on its defensive capabilities, including the best air defence system in the world, negating the USA's air power. The USA only outperforms Russia in its naval capacity and that is not effective in a ground war of the type in Ukraine. This is why Russia has defeated the whole of NATO in Ukraine.
Ukraine has no chance of defeating the Russian Federation and they never did. And everyone involved knows it.
Ukraine could do it last year, but stupid west did not give the weapons or give it too late, and it is difficult to fight the enemy when you can't even destroy their bases on yheir territory, what a joke is that...

The point is that Ukraine ought to have signed and adhered to Minsk 2. I am astonished that even Hartley-Brewer - whom I normally admire - has no idea about this country or conflict. Why should she it's not as if UK/US journalists are falling about themselves to go out there and report. And even if they did - who would be candid with them- after all the result would be their sources would disappear.
At least in former Easterm European countries, where they understand quite literary the situation, we receive actual news.
What MSM forget is that people in these countries have connections, relatives, friends, old trading partners, academics etc in the Ukraine and its parts. These are trusted relationships. They talk and I can tell you my friends, who are not in anyway "Putinbots" - but are an accountant, pathologist, medical assistant, doctor, one works at the Max Planck Institute - well these Ukrainians have a totally different narrative (from their relatives living in Ukraine) to those reported by MSM including Brewer.

Ukraine is losing badly. At this point unconditional surrender is the only practical solution for Ukraine. Hitler's Germany also refused to admit defeat until Hitler killed himself, then Keitel signed unconditional surrender.

Yes we do have the weapons and the manufacturing system to keep them resupplied as well. How do I know that? Because there is an ammo plant near my hometown that has been there since WW2.
