@cody1964 what's the sarcasm for? America is giving literal hundreds of billions of dollars to ukraine to fight against Russia. If that's not us and allies vs russia and allies than I genuinely don't know what is
@@nathanwinhusen6017 Additionally, “hundreds of billions” is inaccurate and misleading. America HAS NOT contributed over 200 billion (which is arguable an insignificant amount considering the aid has been over multiple years and the US had a multi-trillion dollar YEARLY budget.) More importantly, these “dollars” are not pallets of cash sent directly to Zelenskyy as right wingers would have you believe. What actually happens is the US and it’s allies are contributing expiring military hardware (that has already been paid for) It is CHEAPER than decommissioning/wasting, with the bonus of costing Russian billions in parity to counter. Once the right man was heading the U.S.S.R. and the citizens to the east of the Berlin Wall started demanding change due to exposure to western civilization, communism started to crack until the result was the fall of the Berlin Wall. Reagan had nothing to do with "winning" the Cold War. Our spending tons of money they did not have on nuclear weapons in the arms race contributed little to the fall of a system that was built to fail. Sure, other countries are still communist, but they have either implemented much more rigid versions of communism or they have allowed enough aspects of capitalism in to remain relevant.
Since 1945, there have been no hot wars between any two g20 members. Globally during WW2, an average of over 39,000 people died every day as a direct result of the war. That about the same as all of the people killed in Gaza in 6 months.
