- The Mayones Jabba Custom is taking the world of jazz-style bass guitars by storm. Mayones Jabba bass guitars are made in Poland, custom designed using the creme-de-la-creme of components and wood. Here, Marc is showcasing the Mayones Jabba Custom 4-String Bass in Buckeye Burl and the Mayones Jabba Custom 5-String Bass in Eye Poplar.
Both of these Mayones Jabba bass guitars have a swamp ash body with Aguilar Alnico V pickups and the Mayones 2-band GP-BP2 active preamp. With incredibly smooth, fast, and precise feel, these bass guitars make life just a little easier for the player. And they look spectacular!

That chrome control plate on the front really cheapens the look of the bass. It would be cool if they did a rear rout, so that the front face of the bass just shows that beautiful buckeye burl top.
mas502arc A lot of the time it's not possible due to the preamp being PCB mounted, but I agree.

mas502arc If you look on the East J Retro preamp (which the Mayones preamp is suspiciously similar to!) danirebollo.es/images/eukjretro/IMAG0121%5B1%5D.jpg - you can see everything, including the pots, is mounted on a circuit board. This severley limits the thickness of the material it can be mounted in.
