btw, here's the SOURCE of "great" ua-cam.com/video/sCTIzqqdcS4/v-deo.html
My honest opinion: I would def recommend this bass! It's a great bass for everybody who want's to get into e.g. jazzier and funkier music styles. Could do a great job for pop as well. It plays great and keeps the warm and smooth tone, always sounding sweet. Said the prog metaller...;-)
Absolutely love the look!
That is gorgeous and I am REALLY excited to try playing one
Awesome review and demo
Wow! It sounds so good and looks damn good as well.
it’s funny seeing the Hirsch Effekt guy NOT playing brutal metal on bass 🤣
Super schöner Bass und phantastischer Klang! Mayones bzw. Hadrian haben es einfach drauf, Ilja hat aber auch, top!! ❤️👍
Hadrien RIPPS !!! I just discovered Mayones on Talkbass, and so far I love what I hear. Growl machines.
Ilja wie immer on point.
Great sound! 👍🏻👍🏻
Would be interesting to know if they shifted to P pickup a little further forward than on a regular Fender because, tone wise, it sounds bassier. There's a very VERY good reason for the P Bass pickup sweet spot!
it looks and sounds great
The bassist looks a like young Hadrien before the weights. Awesome new Jabba PJ, sounds great
These are amazing.
Beautiful bass! This is a signature I would want to own aside from my sire:-)
It’s bugging me how spaced out the knobs r
One beautiful bass there.
It’s a Great Beautiful Bass
Not that many "Great" comments as I thought 😅
Great!
Great bass for sure.
GREAT!
🤙
Hello!
would u ever consider reviewing the BE series from Mayones?
especially the elite FM?
GREAT!!!
I love this kind of video!!! Thank you!
What strings did you have on the bass?
I would really appreciate having this as a standard piece of information in your videos. They matter so much for the tone, and it would help to understand e.g. whether the brightness/darkness is the pickups, wood, or string choice.
I believe Mayones uses SIT nickel plated steel strings
Need it now 🐭
I think it's great!
In jedem Fall klingt der Bass gut. So eine P und J Bass- Kombination ist auch klasse. Spielt Hadrian Feraud seinen Bass dann mit Ramp? Oder spielt er ohne?
Price?
@@BobBlackBass I have no idea?! ;-)
New signature but he was walking around NAMM 2020 the entire time with his older Mayones signature?
The „old“ one isn’t discontinued.
@@basstheworldofficial I know, I'm just wondering as to why he wouldn't have been promoting his new bass at the show. Unless there's the slim chance it still wasn't available and you managed to get your hands on it quicker.
Hadrien prefers to play on his 5 string that's why. Marcus Miller has a 5 string signature but prefers to play his 4 string jazz bass.
It’s like Fodera produce V.Wooten’s signature 5 string bass :)
I want that bass
would be killer with two split pickup instead of the j style
looks killer sounds "great"
Great
This review in a nutshell:
*"Great!"*
It sounded and looked great. (Seriously)
Nice! How's the weight ? I love PJ basses so this is high on my list.
It was around 4kg
@@basstheworldofficial Cheers.
its great
great
In the first solo how did you get that tone? Is everything flat? Scooped? Compression?
That’s a combination of a BAE 1073 preamp and a REDDI Tube DI. In post I added (subtle) EQ and compression.
BassTheWorld.com thanks. How could I get that tone with pedals. I’m looking for a cheaper way. Lol
Lars is just awesome.. like Greg 😁😁
Bass and bass player are great! I do not like the finish that much, but that is just about taste.
großartig!
looks great , sounds great to me ...seems to be great...ähmm
Fuuuuuuuuck I want that so bad!
Genial
Jawdropping
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
These reviews are getting more and more surreal. Which is "great".
Will this be available in 5 string?
probably, the JJ version is at least available as 4- and 5-string
Great!
Its GREAT 😂
Made in Poland
Make Mayonnes Great Again
Well my jazz bass standard Fender U.S.A sounds better, has more dynamics when right hand attacking and has only 3 buttons and is passive...."so what ?" (Miles)
The sound is way too boomy. I'm sure thats just the amp settings but still.
There was no amp in the recording chain.
First!

👍🇦🇹👌🤠😁🧐😯
Sounds pretty generic, too much lows not enough mids
I tend to agree. It seems to have a natural "scooped" tone which is nice, but many of a bass' unique tonal qualities are in the mids. Although I feel like it would kill in any studio situation
Do you even play bass?
Would I run this channel if I wasn’t a bassist? 😉 I just prefer to hire amazing pros for the sound demos. This makes these videos a lot better and I also really like working in teams
BassTheWorld.com I was just wondering, that’s cool man !!! Cheers
Aaaaah! It's your typical pj sound. P pickup,...not so great. It doesn't have that "TRUE" "P",..."UMF!" Pickups together,...fair.. Kind of "DRY". Jazz pickup/ Bridge position. Good. Also,...it doesn't have the "SNAP!" when you "SLAP!". The pickups look like "CREAM" colored "9mm pole" Mitchell or DONLIS" or DELANO or "BASSMODS" pickups. Not impressed. 24 frets and easy "HIGH's" access,...is a "PLUS" Now the "PRICE!" will probably "KILL!" you.
Great
