I've definitely been digging the Miles Davis riffs CME has been doing!

That bass sounds ridiculous, with the stunning craftsmanship to match!

Wow, that was subtle I even missed what company and scroll bass you might have meant!
    Beautiful playing as always, Mark.

Great bass. I need to check out arcane pickups. All the basses I been digging lately have had arcane pickups

Blake VanHouten He was pointing at the biggest clue the whole time he was kinda talking about the bass. Watch it again, it's really funny.

Nice. Just curious, what kind of plectrum do you use on bass for your video demos ?

i prefer Dunlop Pitch Black .60 picks.
a lighter, thinner pick is not usually popular in the bass community, but you know, I'm a weirdo.

What bass are we "kinda" talking about? Sorry, mainly a guitar player.

What is the pickup and who made it?

Is the bass in question the Ricky Danko bass that he uses with the scroll from the last waltz?

So basically, they looked at the Guitar Hero 6 controller, and thought: "Hey that would make a great bass!"

+Matthew Whittingham it's based on an Ampeg '65 AMUB bass.

I OWN A 1967 AMPEG AUB-1 FRETLESS SCROLL BASS, BLACK WITH A RED BURST
IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE BASSES THAT I OWN & PLAY
    THIS TRUSSART IS COOL
    DEFINITELY SOUNDS GOOD
    I OWN A TRUSSART GUITAR

Sounds a lot like a p-bass but with a more even tone. Less of the "hollow grind", which I've never been all that crazy about. Johnson's own version is less than half the price, and better looking imo.

    7grand?!!! That's a whole lotta cash!
Your better off finding a Ampeg AEB-1.
There, I said it. Try to find a fretless
    version. They're an absolute blast
    to play!

Matthew Paluch The price is because every component is handmade, the dude took all the measurements, does all the machining, all the woodworking and all the sales solo. I totally agree that I'd get an AEB or AFB personally, but it would be really sad for all the harm of a tour to happen to an original; hence this guitar, which is purpose built to survive that environment. They're good things made by a good dude with a good moustache and far from the worst use of $7000.

Lucian Fitzgerald I wonder how much it would be if J.T. didn't add the custom touches and came straight from Bruce.

Matthew Paluch They're generally a little less, but I think he quotes per order so there's not really a fixed price.

So what sound wrong. Not the notes the rhythm doesn't seem quite right. Still nice demo

Man, I loathe turning the tone down to emulate flats. It just sounds like garbage. That thing needs a legit set of flats on it.
