  • This 1963 Fender P Bass has seen some serious action over the years and has tons of character. Marc puts this vintage beast to the test in our most recent bass guitar demo video.
    The finish on this 1963 Fender Precision Bass has worn away in many areas giving it a gorgeous vintage appearance. In this bass demo, Marc plays through the Ashdown CTM-15 Bass amp head and the Dictator Cabs Bass Cabinet.

    Let me just say, I went to CME in July from NC. Took a trip there to Chicago. Mark and his co-workers are the nicest people I have ever met. Mark handed me a 1961 Jazz bass (priced at $20,000) and said, Here, have fun! I will definitely go back and play and hang out and take 4 strings back home!

    OMG....the pick on clean tone just sounds amazing. I love that fat powerful punch with the crisp plectrum attack.

      ya know, i thought i had just come up with it on the spot (like a lot of the riffs), but it is strikingly similar, isn't it?

      marc najjar hah, love it.
      LaBella strings on an old p through a 15 watt head and 15" cab, glad you chucked in Bernadette as a little bit of a throwback to a suspiciously similar setup but I definitely was not expecting it to get that immense, proves you don't need EMGs to be brutal.

    Nice,..but it's really no point to demoing that vintage bass with overdriven tone.

    • @HunterShawMusic
      @HunterShawMusic 9 років тому +3

      Why?

    • @NormSpupsEntertainment
      @NormSpupsEntertainment 9 років тому

      Hunter Shaw It can break up the tone of the bass.

    • @HunterShawMusic
      @HunterShawMusic 9 років тому +4

      Overdrive by definition is harmonic distortion, so getting to hear both overdriven and clean demos is cool. The overdrive brings out all the cool harmonics of the bass. I just wanted to know why you thought that it's not ok to do that with a bass because it's vintage.

    • @APEJOH
      @APEJOH 7 років тому +6

      Hunter Shaw Because he's got a very small mind view of bass playing.
