Why 14.5 is the NEW best 300 BLK barrel length.

- 300 Blackout build with a Wilson Combat upper and lower receiver. All remaining parts are BCM minus the ballistic advantage barrel. All in all its a great gun and the 14.5" barrel makes for a great 300 blackout barrel length.

Word to the wise nobody is talking about this, but if you actually want to stay as quiet as possible with your build, getting a barrel with a carbine length gas system…almost no port pop because initial pressure is so much lower.
Not wrong, currently running 13.9 with carbine gas. All you hear is the action moving
I really like 300blk supersonic. I specifically use BCM Keymod handguards for identification and because the Keymod QD sling mounts sit shallow inside and out. I went with a 16” ADM barrel for my non-NFA build.
Very nice 300 Blackout build! Great content as always! 👍👍
Thanks Jason.
People are just realizing the potential &benefits from using .300BLK in a longer platform with more RAW power at range using BOTH supersonic&subsonic munitions🧠👌
Great video, feel the same way. Just picked up a new SOLGW 13.9 blk barrel.
I have the same barrel. People are missing out on velocity and energy to look cool
Awesome bro! I got a rugged Radiant
I feel the same as you with the sbr crap
Hello,
It's very nice !
Best regards 😊
Thanks Robert!
@@shootersresourcechannel642 Hello,
Could you please advise me, I am undecided on a choice between the Geissele automatics super Duty in 14, 5 inches and the Daniel Défense DDM4V7 or M4A1?
Which of the three advise you?
Merci beaucoup
Best regards.
If you can get a good deal on the Geissele, I would go that route. The DDM4V7 is a great gun, I picked up for $1500 a while back and I would buy it again. The M4A1 with the quad rail is not my style, it’s also going to be heavier than the other two. Hope this helps.
Im running a 12.5 and for me has been perfect, Im still getting the velocity with my hand loads and somewhat better portability.
12.5 is a great barrel length in the AR15 platform.
@@shootersresourcechannel642 thank you and yes for blkout its been perfect! Just like 14.5 is perfect as well
Good day Sir. Do you shoot subsonics often through the 14.5 and if you do, are they consistently subsonic or do a few rounds reach supersonic speed every now and then due to the barrel length? Thank you for your time.
I shoot subsonic through a 14.5 and they stay subsonic.
Outstanding, thank you for the response, sir.
I run a 16” 300 blk and I just test ammo with it before I commit to large quantities. There are a lot of companies making subs for 16” barrels.
Last year I built out a slim line 20 inch 556 rig to hunt with, really dig it especially suppressed, super soft shooter and accurate. I really wanna do another in 300 blackout also with a 20 inch barrel but no clue if anyone is even makin one... I feel it would really be a great setup and stupid quite. If I could ever build one out I'd probably only be usin 220 subs in it.
Wilson does have 300 ham'r 20" barrels
@@Brian-hf9tc yeah. But that's not 300 blackout. If I build one in 30 cal I'm trying to see how quite I can get a gas gun. Dont believe 300 hammer has subs like that.
I’m not aware of a 20” 300 black. Heck it’s hard enough to find a 300 black in 14.5” or 16” outside of BA or Noveske or Odin works. Not a lot of options. People don’t see a 16” 300 Bo as practical but clearly they haven’t seen this video. I’m very surprised this guy used supers and got the quiet that he achieved. Pretty darn awesome
@@tylertapp131word to the wise, if quiet is your concern, the longer the barrel and gas system the better. Carbine length gas is miles quieter than a pistol length, and just like any other caliber, the longer the barrel the less boom.
@@dasboot9471 I use 20 inch barrels and rifle gas length right now in 556. It's pretty damn quite for what it is. I understand longer guns make it quiter.
I have a 13.7 pin .556. This makes me want a 13.7 300blk now for the same reasons as you. Would be interesting to know velocity of sub sonics/noise signature out of longer barrels.
I was looking for a 13.7 in 300 Blk out, they’re hard to find. Thanks for stopping by!
@@shootersresourcechannel642 last I check I think kak industry has em if you're interested
300 blackout & the white Ford Pick up... Subscribe 💯.
Nice video. I love 300blackout in all barrel lengths, but 13.9, 14.5, & 16 inches shoot a 110g🙌🏾😈😎 amazing.
After watching this ordered a ballistic advantage 14.5 300 black barrel. Did you get a pistol length gas tube?
Yes, pistol length
Thanks for the cool content bro! I really enjoyed your video. You helped me realized a 300 bo barrel doesn’t have to be 10” or less
I meant to ask you what can do you have on that 14.5 bcm
Silencerco Chimera
What barrel are you running?
Ballistic advantage
@@shootersresourcechannel642 would you say this barrel is accurate enough for a hunting build? Out to say 150-175 yards?
You from florida?
Nope, from the far north…Georgia.
You already own a can, SBR tax ain't gonna hurt you. Sucks that braces can't be used but they fucking sucked anyways. I just liked braces because I can try a gun out before I spend the $200 to SBR it, like my AP5-P.
I went ahead and secured an SBR
Why are you afraid of a tax stamp?
I’m not, I actually ended up getting one. I compare this 14.5 versus my new 8” SBR in the following video..ua-cam.com/video/7RyJy13cSBw/v-deo.htmlsi=K8TJEO1MVg8Yf5WJ
Wasting time on 300 black going over 10” on the barrel. I guess if you just can’t run a brace and refuse to sbr..even for hunting. Run an 8” with the can and go hunt
It's true, the larger barrels do start to defeat the purpose. It's definately the second part though, I don't want to go with an SBR, atleast at the moment. thanks for watching and commenting Dylan, take care man.
Watch Mr guns and gears video on 300 blackout and barrel length. It is myth that 300 blackout doesn’t gain after 9-10” barrel.
110gr-9” upper-2167fps
110gr-16” upper-2412fps
That’s quite a difference and definitely not “no gain”
@@matthewHizzle or you could ask me. Being I do this for a living. Yes there is some truth to that statement but it isn’t very significant
@@FlashhideronlyI don’t know what world you live in where 300 FPS isn’t significant. Sure it’s not a PDW, but you can reach further with it.
@@echofoxtrotwhiskey1595 I live in a world where people have body armor, could be so high on uppers that unless you get that this shot, they don’t go down fast and are still a threat with a gun in their hands. Even if they are already dead from your shot placement, the body hasn’t stopped yet, aka….heart still pumping from drugs and adrenaline. Seen that with 16” 5.56. Also anti vehicle purposes. Not to mention accuracy out to 300 meters with more versatile knock down power.
