  • Here's another video of the Sig P365 Fuse. In this video we put 150+ rounds through the gun to see how it would perform. It was cleaned and lubed prior to the video and there was one failure to feed malfunction.

    “I’m an average marksman” proceeds to fire one handed with spot on accuracy. Give yourself a little more credit dude lol

    I'm totally in agreement. I have 8 failures to feed after 100 rounds. I'm taking it back to the range after Sig recommended to break in the gun with another 100-150 rounds...

      As a side note I also have an Echelon as a nightstand gun and that firearm has been reliable from day one...

      Let us know how it does on the next range trip.

    I just rented the Echelon and I was surprised that I liked it that much. I just bought the Fuse last week. Romeo X is on point so far. Put 100 rounds through and had some out of battery moments. I just field stripped it and I'll try it again this weekend. I think that after a 1,000 rounds it will be fine.

    It’s cause you are a lefty lol, sucks your having these issues though. 576rds in with no issues on mine. Sig does seem to have some quality issues when they release a new product but they do seem to correct it quickly. Original P365 had light striker issues when it very first came out and they fixed that issue very quickly so hopefully they resolve this soon.

      Ha! I’m glad it’s working smoothly for you. We should trade. Just to verify if being left handed is the issue haha

    Have you had this much trouble with other Sig’s? I’ve never owned one and heard they may go off if dropped. Now you’re having problems. I’m glad I’ve never wasted my hard earned money.

      I sold an Sig P365X Macro Comp a couple of months ago because of an issue but it didn’t have this many issues. The optic issue - that’s simple. Not a big deal. The light primer strike - ok things happen it was once. Failure to feed with 70 rounds after being cleaned and lubed - no a huge deal but it shouldn’t happen. We could blame the magazines. At the end of the regardless of the reason if it’s not completely dependable then I don’t see a reason to keep it around.

      @@averagemarksman I totally agree. I have a FN 509 compact and am looking for another 9mm right now. Looking at a Sar, Canik or a CZ.

    Tend to agree with your perspective. I have been wavering between this Fuse or the Springfield echlon. I liked the modulation of both pistols but would appear the the echlon is better!

      Two different worlds not the right pistols to compare brother…Carry weapon vs home defense duty weapon. Full size vs Compact

      @jimreher7023 22 дні тому +2

      @SHOOTERS_G.n.B Agreed 👍. I'm just trying to weigh out my options in a modular pistol. I have the Hellcat and for carry it's one I trust. But like the idea of full sized pistol in a thiner package is appealing. But function is important.

      @@jimreher7023 listen don’t let these videos steer u on these decisions they are individual perspectives and experiences. The sig 365 has been one of the top carry weapons for the last few years strong. This won’t be any different just need to put rounds down range before it becomes the EDC..I would suggest that with any weapon

      I put 500+ rounds through and Echelon when it was released. It shot pretty darn good. I don’t believe I had a single malfunction with it.

    Picked one up the other day, haven't had a chance to run it yet. After watching your other video, I asked my FFL to put more locktite on the optic screws and he said the same thing you did, not enough thread lock from the factory. Never had a red dot on a hand gun before, is your zero with the dot on the front sight post or sitting on the top of the blade? Thanks for sharing, Blessings.

    • @averagemarksman
      @averagemarksman  22 дні тому +1

      Edward it’s a good thing you had someone double check the mounting hardware. The dot is lined up perfectly with the front sight post.

    I’ve never had a factory gun make it to 500 rounds with that many problems. Curious if you try some different ammo what happens.

    • @averagemarksman
      @averagemarksman  22 дні тому +1

      It’s hard to blame the ammo when I can take a case of pistols outside and not have any multifunctions. But we might have to give it a try.

    How are the controls for a lefty? (mag release / slide release) Definitely looking @ buying one EDIT: finished watching video - reliability issues? Man, this would be my carry gun so I'm leery now.

    • @averagemarksman
      @averagemarksman  21 день тому

      The magazine release is reversible. I’ve reversed it on other p365’s. It’s easy to do but I’m use to running the gun with the magazine release on the left side. Slide lock is smooth. Slide drops when magazine is loaded as long as it’s close to full. Smooth other than the failures.

      @@averagemarksman Thanks man. What other 365's do you have? I'm looking for a single do it all gun (concealed carry + home) with optic. About to sell an XDS 3.3 and a 1911. I would go HK P30 but I don't wanna pay another $700-800 to get the slide milled + optic on top of the price of the gun. But damn, the P30 fits me like a glove. Whatever I get, it's gotta be damn reliable. ( EDIT: I do like around a 4" barrell over a tiny one)

    • @averagemarksman

      I feel like it does get hotter than other pistols. Not that it’s incredibly important it’s just something that gets noticed.
