Ohh yeah I didn't even think about cactuses. They tend to be very stiff. Most breeds are very small. They are in general heavy. Their overall construction is very Round. And their only protruding parts are small thin needles. now they think about it cactuses are perfect for telling the wind to screw off.

As the person who's job it is to go around and teach all the plants English I am so glad my work is finally being recognised. I will also let Steve over in wind education that people have started talking to the wind as well he will be thrilled.

i remember being around 10-11 and fully thinking i could control the wind. it would just blow or stop on my command. one day i decided to "send" a tornado to America (im Australian, sorry!) and the next day i watched the overseas weather on TV and sure enough there was a tornado (i just ignored the part where i had never checked how frequently tornados occur, time of year or even specified what part of america, those were just details that didnt occur to my child brain) and i was so freaked out that i vowed to never use my "powers" again.
As a British person, you can give them Americans the tornado treatment all you want, just don't drink our tea 😢

I used to think I could control the wind. I got over it in kindergarten.
As a pagan, I'm all for caring for and being respectful of our natural world, but this is wild. I used to think like this as a teenager....then I got put on meds and now I'm perfectly content just caring for houseplants and wearing lots of black. Delusions are real for these people, and sometimes, the only way to break them out of them is through medication and therapy
There's a huge difference between a religious/spiritual/scientific understanding that we are a part of nature and responsible to care for the planet we live on... And thinking you command wind and plants. Certainly talk to the plants, they like the vibrations of sounds but they aren't going to vine smack your enemies away like Poison Ivy.

August, I am a plant-based English teacher. I spend my days teaching the plants in my neighborhood English and arithmetic. It is like any other class out there, human, animal, rock, water. Plants do move (with out wind), but its very slow and takes 8 hours or more for the branches to move, it's really cool and it's due to pressure imbalance in parts of the tree and plants

Now, I'm sure there could be a chance that plants are able to communicate due to things like electromagnetic signals and things like that (mushrooms definitely do this, they communicate with each other through these, and I feel like I've heard abt plants as well) but unless we can recieve and interpret these signals, we can't even understand them.
A reality check would be a shock to her and probably denied, or at the very least not understood. Imagine you thought the color blue would harm you your whole life and then you accidentally touched it and nothing happens... Mind blown or your "knowing" is shattered.

There are some studies that plants have a reaction to music, like growing a bit faster.
Some studies show they can even detect colors and closeby shapes (kinda like a very blurry vision).

I have plants in my back yard when i give it water it grows. Everytime im near it send specific smells you could tell the mood of the plant by the smell. For example if its rotten that means it's sick. If it grows very fast it means its overhyped and a communicatea by sharing the water you gave to the plants it shares it with other plants as a way to say thank you
