@Katoshnik At this point, Windows is pretty much only good for gaming and a select for professional apps.... If Linux ever catches up on gaming, there'd really be no point to sticking with windows. As for *why* Windows is on most desktops and laptops, is because it's pretty much a tradition at this point. Most other operating systems died in the 90s, Apple doesn't want it's OS on anything they didn't sell, and Linux still has a bad reputation for not being user friendly, despite like a decade of innovation in that. Linux honestly isn't that bad now, but it's really still not great on game support. It's come a long way, definitely, but it's still not where it needs to be.

When you plan on making videos about Linux, I can highly recommend Linux Mint as a very noob friendly distro. For old and weak hardware you can use Linux Mint XFCE, it will run on pretty much anything.

I have an LGP2 and when you zoom in to the image, the text on windows looks compressed (most likely a USB2 limitation) but I'm still curious, are there any specific settings you use to get a better image?
The best overclocking cpu I ever had was an e1200. I oc'ed it from stock 1.6ghz to 3.4ghz, the only cpu I ever had that I ever oc'ed to more than double it's stock speed. It was done on a new cheap $39 G-31 Gigabyte. I remember going to the computer store and buying a dirt cheap computer case that included a psu on clearance (That psu "blew up" years later when I tried to put a gtx 580 on it), the e-1200 cpu, the Gigabyte motherboard, a 8600gt 512mb ddr3 and 2gb of ram for $200.
49 minutes? That's lightningly fast! In the good old days that image at that resolution would have literally taken _weeks_ to render, no exaggeration. (And that's assuming you had enough RAM to render it in the first place.)

I was using an Intel Dual Core Duo paired w GT710 on playstation emulator and most games ran fine... but Rtype Delta struggled bad when there were a lot of enemies or large characters on screen. The music would stutter as well ruining the experience.
this is mostly my first "gaming rig" i had a Dual Core E5200@2,5 Ghz, 2Gb off Ram and a Geforce G100 (that has also 8 shaders) i played with it mostly 3 years

Lol, those components are amazing compared to the oldest stuff I have lying around. CPU: V20 5MHz, 512kB RAM, Philips 5109 motherboard, 10 MB Seagate harddisk, Xebex 1210 MFM controller. It does run the original SimCity.
It's almost a crime this setup can play Crysis at all. XD But it's a proof of why you can play games on virtually anything. I recently started testing games on an old laptop from 2007 (about the same setup as this, 1,6Ghz Dualcore and a 8400M GS) and it's not half bad for some older games, to be honest. (15-20+ years old games at least)
Well my laptop has a NVS 135M, which is actually half the speed of this NVS 295 here. Amazingly it still plays UA-cam and such just fine with h261ify, and tbh that's all I care about on a laptop as I have a beefy desktop for games should I play one. That said the CPU is almost 3 times the speed and I have 8GB of RAM with SSD so my general usage experience is definitely far better. But for that Celeron if you have an OEM motherboard you can still BSEL it to at least 1066mhz and have an overclock that way.
We have those NVS cards at work. Luckily they are only used as display adapters but they are slowly failing to do even that. Mine occasionally blacks out for a while and then shows a driver error and one of my colleagues had his replaced because his display was constantly flickering like crazy. 0/10 would not recommend

The P5Q is a really nice lga775 board,i have one,used to run a E7400 from 2,8ghz at 3,8 and later an q9550 from 2,8ghz at 3,6.
