    Hi Dr. I was 149 kg in January 2021. After I watched your videos and lessons, I have reduced currently to 129kg.I observe keto diet_ no protein and carbs. I every morning desend 7 floor stairs, walk 4 km, climb 7 floors, in my small gym I do 2 planks of 1 minute, 5 press ups, sit up on the bench, and 10 rollers. I feel I can wear my clothes I had stopped wearing due to decrease in size sometimes back. I had cellulitis in my right leg but now no more. My nails had white dot but have disappeared. I also add ACV, olive oil and eat tuna fish in plenty. Thanks a lot Dr. I dont know how to express my appreciation.

    Hi Dr Berg, thank you so much for your videos. I began recently the Keto diet with IF. Already I've dropped 8Kilos. I do 6-18 and bought wheatgrass powder, nutritional yeast and am looking better than I have in years. AND I'm just at the beginning. Im 52 and on antipsychotics, unfortunately I've had a long history of mental illness. I live in Australia with my wife and daughter and l live very close to one of the best health food stores in Australia. I also gave up all forms of caffein including in tea. When I started I was 108 Kilos now I'm 101 about's, Ive been doing this for 2 weeks. I really appreciated when you shared that hunger pains will only last 10 minutes, so ride it out and that eat a carb can set you back 72hours. I owe you my life...

I have been eating keto and intermittent fasting for several months, and I've lost 40 lbs, increased my mobility, down to 2 meals a day, changed my dietary foods completely, and feeling healthier than ever. Thank you so much! I believe we should be taught early on how to feed our cells with good nutrition, and that starts with knowledge. You are providing that, and I appreciate that so much. Thank you so much Dr. Berg, for putting up this clear and informative channel :-)! This is one of the greatest videos on it, IMHO.
    It helps us to have a better idea of what's going on in the inside of our bodies. Extremely important info here.
    I have kept my eyes open for years, looking for exactly this kind of info, and never before found such a complete discussion of it. Especially your own drawings were very useful..
    Folks on here who wanted photos, I can tell you from studying Iris photos, you are better off with the drawings, confusing attributes are not present in Dr. Berg's drawings. The drawing clarifies exactly *and only* the thing you are talking about.
    I only expected to find this kind of information coming from some Chinese Acupuncturist, then lo and behold, here comes you. Bravo!
    Many Blessings to you and yours :-)!

    @avrilcrisp5725 8 місяців тому

    I had multiple high vertical ridges on all my finger nails. My doctor said it's just age related (that same old excuse given to women for sooo many things). I've tried everything. Keto diet some improvement as it stopped nails from splitting. Daily massage with petroleum jelly, no improvement at all. More fruit and sun, daily supplement blah blah blah. Three daily massage with avocado oil, again stops brittleness but not the ridging. Mountains of handcreams later, I noticed an improvement to my right hand nails and not so pronounced ridging on my left hand. It's taken me two months to finally realise it was a pot of Lacura avocado bright eyes sleeping mask with retinol which I was using up on my nails. I've just come back to finish the pot and within two day the ridges are much reduced on 3 fingers and the remaining 7 finger nail ridges have gone and are smooth. It's the magic I've been searching for.

  • @AveryMilieu

    Oh dear. Living on a mostly protein diet ((REALLY low carbs)) supplementing with zinc and eating yeast, adding B's as I go along. Got "ordered" to stop taking D3 because my levels were 150 (top safe AMA limit is 100, normal is 50) and am about to be re tested in the next week.
    I have a few dark lines (and the medics dismiss these), ridged (lengthwise, not cross), flaky, flabby nails. The ridges are quite prominent.
    I also have HCV (50 years damage to my liver), a leaky gut, and osteoporosis. They turn blue when the wildfire smoke settles in but pink up again when the air clears.
    That's 1 - 4 - 5 - 14. I am NOT anemic, I eat lots of cheese at the moment, live on grass fed beef and greens, supplement magnesium...
    And never put chemical goo on my nails to make them look pretty.
    Would love to deal with those dark lines, though. They only showed up in the past year.

      Are you taking Vitamin K2 and Magnesium with the D3? If not you could have calcium settle in your joints and other soft tissues and also form kidney stones.

    • @AveryMilieu
      @AveryMilieu 3 роки тому +1

      @@tomunderwood4283 YES. And I do have a tendency to form "gravel" or "sand". Less concerned about it settling in my joints. BUT I don't supplement calcium. I eat cheese because milk calcium is more bio-available than the stuff in pills and capsules, tastes good and has oils and protein with it.
      I eat the equivalent of three cups of kale (as a powder in a smoothie) so I don't supplement K2, and Magnesium cit is part of that smoothie.
      I was tested for Vit D blood levels. Three months ago it tested to "150" on a scale where "50" was normal and "100" was max. The medics went crazy and I got the lecture about unsafe levels of Vit D from no less that THREE people in the office. Scare stories, mostly, about kidney function and I don't know what all -- I stopped listening.
      The same Medics don't seem to really care about the condition of my liver. The lot of them will kill me with medecine if I let them.
      I don't. Openly refuse all Pharma offered.

In fact my nails are very strong and smooth, and I also haven't suffered a cold or flu or ear wax, foul odors, pimples, itch, waking up tired and so much more that strangers around me suffer, for that time s well. Not bragging, just that I also have not had any pills, powders or supplements (or special gimmicks since about the mid 80s when I started to practice healthy diet seriously, based on cause and effect and not what the consensus says. Going completely without carbs, alcohol, and fermented foods for 3 months cured my foot issues. Fungus can hang on there a long time. Can speed this up my drinking clove with black coffee, grounds and all best, once a day to clear fungus out of digestive tract as that effects feet before hands perhaps because they stay damp all the time.

    I have the vertical lines but eat plenty of meat and take good quality vitamin supplements. My nails grow profusely fast, needing trimming twice a week! I'm keto most of the week. I'm guessing the vertical lines are not serious?

      No answer for you here. Yes, I have always had vertical ridges; my nails are strong, grow well, etc. I have excellent nutrition & diet, normal BMI, etc. My nails apparently simply grow that way.

    Hi: I wish Dr. Berg had discussed "splinter hemorrhages" in the nail --- they look like small black lines like a extra thin strand of black thread. What causes those lines? Thank you in advance 😉

    Hello Dr. Berg! Thanks for this video. I have a vertical discoloration in my nail, light gray. I have been taking metformin for my PCOS and I believe it is responsible for blocking the absorption of Vit B12. Also, I seldom get the morning sunlight because I work a graveyard shift. I am kind of worried because I have read over the internet that this might be a serious medical condition that needs immediate attention. Please help me with what to do. Thank you very much

    I have vertical lines on my nails (age 50) and I eat a very high protein low carb diet heavy in red meat. My b12 is high and my iron is in the normal range. I’ve heard other docs say age. I guess that’s it if those other things are in check? But I’ve had vertical lines since I can remember.

    I have 2 finger nails with a white speck on them but I have been on keto for almost 2 years. for one year I did OMAD until I started getting too thin now I do 2 meals but always KEto and always fasting for 18 to 20 hours so how could I be deficient in zync? I eat meat every day, sometimes this stuff confuses me or makes me doubt what I'm doing is working to fix underlying problems.
