- This amazing Tiramisu Cake is one of the best desserts you can prepare for your loved ones all year round. An elegant dessert consisting of four layers of moist and soft sponge cake, soaked in espresso and Marsala wine, filled with a smooth and fluffy Mascarpone frosting. One of the easiest layer cakes I’ve made so far and is simply heavenly.

Ingredients
Makes about 10-12 servings
Vanilla Sponge Cake
5 eggs, separated
1 cup (200g) sugar, divided
1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
1/2 cup (115g) oil
1/2 cup (120ml) sparkling water
2 cups (250g) flour
2 1/4 tsp (10g) baking powder
1/4 tsp (1g) salt
Coffee Mixture
1 cup (240 ml) espresso coffee, at room temperature
2 tbsp (30ml) Marsala wine
Mascarpone Frosting
1 1/2 pounds (750g) Mascarpone cheese, room temperature
2 cups (480g) whipping cream, chilled
1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
2 tsp (10g) vanilla extract
White Chocolate Decoration
2.5 oz (70g) white chocolate
1 oz (30g) white chocolate, for tempering
instant coffee powder, for dusting
For decoration
Cocoa powder for dusting the cake

Update: for anyone wondering, I made that cake and everybody just loved it and said it was the best one I had made so far so you can trust this recipe 😄 I did change some things here and there though but it's definitely one to keep in 👍
im not trying to hate on cake or nuttin but if ya boy likes tiramisu make you some ladyfingers and italian buttercream. I used to buy $4 slices at whole foods but now I cook the whole tray for the same price lol.

Tried this recipe yesterday. I always had issues with my sponge cake deflating once taken out from the oven, and I could also never reach the stiff peak for the egg whites! But this time, the cake rose and was spongy like a japanese cheesecake! It turned out so well! Thanks for the recipe !
Turn your sponge upside down and let it cool like that as soon as it's out of the oven. Also, cream of tartar will help your egg whites to get to stiff peaks. Be sure to use a really clean bowl before whipping the egg whites and you can also wipe the bowl out with vinegar before the process.

Thank you ! Your instructions were really good. Had no marscapone so I used cream cheese with some sour and whipping cream. Turned out well with everyone going back for seconds and thirds until it was all done. Am sure it will become my new favorite.
May I know is it possible to replace marscapone with cream cheese only? Tq.
