In descending order: Beef, either braising cuts or steaks. Chicken cooked and cold for any hunger in between meals or a meal on the go. Various sausages just for different flavors in my mouth once in a while. Eggs, nuff said. Fat: butter, ghee, bacon, tallow...Salmon and shrimp, both wild caught plus other shellfish and fresh water fish. Pork rinds, only as a coating or ingredient. Various dirty carnivore stuff: Cream, sour cream, yogurt, raw milk, cheese. I have to limit these and with the exception of heavy cream I'm able to moderate the rest of them pretty well.
Monday through Friday I have sardines and bacon after working out. Then my second meal is a pound of ground beef in the form of 2 burgers with butter and Redmond Smoked Salt. On Fridays it's bacon then salmon & shrimp (not for religious reasons, it's just to get my seafood in), Saturday and Sunday are bacon and steak. If I want something later in the morning, I have homemade beef jerky I make from roast that my butcher thinly slices for me. I purchase a side of beef at a time from our local butcher, and I get my bacon there, too, even though it's almost twice as much as the grocery store, but I know where it comes from and that's important to me. Just brought a side home today, as a matter of fact. With carnivore and working out 5 days per week and walking, I'm in the best health and shape of my later adult life. My bloodwork is always normal, and my MD is astonished.
Beef 100% 24/7 for 19 months now. I'm 66 with 23 years of MS. I quit 3 doctors and 8 drugs 20 months ago and I've not felt this good in over 25 years. My brain fog has lifted so much that I now can't believe I fell for eating plants and listened to establishment doctors. I still have nerve damage that requires me to use a walker but every aspect of my life has been improving to where I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and now laugh at my physical limitations. I actually had some suicide thoughts, but not any more...I'm happy to be alive now!
1. Beef-100% grass fed ribeyes 2. Eggs-local pasture raised 3. Bacon-uncured sugar free 4. Salmon-really not much since my wife doesn't really like it 5. Chicken-to me, just nasty, but wife likes. We have both lost 30 pounds on Ketoivore since January.
Day 5... nothing to report, had a rest day today. Running out of eggs constantly and my dad is getting concerned by how many times i had to run to the grocery store today. Still, i feel just fine without carbs, gonna hit some deadlifts tmrw lets see how it goes!
Is there anyone around you locally that sells Farm Fresh Eggs? Maybe you could seek out other sources like that, since this way of eating is becoming Wildly Popular and more people are Raising Chickens for Eggs.
This. The lady of the house is getting concerned with how many eggs I run through in a week. I didn't tell her I was committing with a protein heavy diet because she started leaning the conversation back to the SAD so I just told her I'm cutting carbs....true but still.
Eggs are good but fatty red meat is better... Get some high quality fatty beef from a local butcher and cook it how you like with enough salt to taste just how you like it...

1. Steak ( mainly ribeye, wife likes NY Strip) 2. Eggs 3. Pork 4. Fish that we catch 5. Venison that we hunt. We are limited on how many deer we can harvest, so it is usually a side dish to last longer before the next hunting season. Typically, we mix it with a pork shoulder to increase fat content.
I like rib eye or as we call it in New Zealand 🇳🇿 Scotch fillet...Deer ,you can hunt all year and take as much as you can shoot. They are actually pest animals here
Beef is #1 for me, too. I like fish like sardines and salmon, which are pretty affordable (so far). And shrimp! Bacon is big for me and eggs, every couple of days. Pork sausage and ground lamb and once in a while some chicken. Cheese is a treat. I try to not eat it too often. Prunes go down with some of the big meat meals because I'm 79 next month and prunes help. Ice cream is hard to avoid!!

I do the same carnivore meats. However, after a year on strict carnivore I decided to add fruit and see if I could keep all my health gains while on low carb.
@Ricatonniisasavage8854 it's only Day 2 of my experiment. I added around 100 carbs in fruit, squash, honey, and so delicious coconut yogurt. What I figured out so far is, don't try this if you have SIBO or gut dysbiosis. Bad bacteria would love the influx of sugar. I haven't had any allergic or food intolerence symptom... yet. Previously I got hives from adding back milk and acid reflux from spices. Nuts and oatmeal seem too filling and not worth the risk. I still need room for my pound of beef. So I am encouraged so far. However, my stools are on the runny side... something to keep an eye on. Also, I need to choose lower fructose fruits due to flatulence. My symptoms and severity seem to be different depending on how inflamed I am that day. I wouldn't stray too far from carnivore if my gut became compromised as that has proven to be my safe haven this past year.
I wanted to add an update to my fruit, honey and friends experiment. I gained 2 pounds in about 5 days. My energy was awesome the first day as a carb-user. Then I started to need more and more sweet honey to get the same high intensity, reminiscent of my caffeine drink guzzling days. I'm going back to carnivore now and curious to see how the switch back into ketosis is. The first time a year ago, I had pretty bad keto flu symptoms.
@@carnivoreakita and you were ingesting roughly 100g of Carbs in Fruits per day? Stick to more Seasonal, Low Carb Fruits if you need to, like Berries or Melons.. a Banana is pretty high in Carbs, so are PineApple, Apples, and some Citrus. I understand what you’re saying though, took me a minute to adjust my Diet to my liking to where I could eat what I want and still lose Body Fat. I dialed it down to small servings of Fruit with Yogurt or Kefir (as an Energy Source, source of Antioxidants, and just a Sweet Treat!) in the Morning or Evening. I find with me, Red Meat, Eggs, and Raw Dairy are the main Staples in My Diet. If I need Energy, then I’ll just up my Fat intake from My Protein Source. The Fruit again, to me, is more of an added Bonus and nothing more than a Sweet Treat, because it’s easy to overindulge (at least to me) in WaterMelon or Berries, for Example. This summer I’m going to experiment and only eat Blackberries & Raspberries, Melons, and Squash/Zucchini (fresh Grown) along with some Garden Fresh Peppers & Herbs. Then when the Fall & Winter Hits, I’ll switch to Apples & Citrus. I’m going to play with it and see what works best for me. 4+ years and I’m still learning 😅🤣 Do what works for you, I’ve enjoyed reading your comments, just go Carnivore, then slowly add things back in over time. That way you’ll really be able to tell what makes you gain more weight, if it is fruit, then eat it minimally or not at all. Meat, Eggs, & Raw Dairy or Goats Milk is what I would recommend for you though no matter what.
@Ricatonniisasavage8854 thanks for your feedback! I reached all my health goals while on carnivore for this past year. My food experiment that I just did for 4 days was Paul Saladino's animal-based diet. His diet for my weight is over 100g of carbs per day, plus over a pound of fatty meat. It was difficult ingesting that much meat on top of all that fibrous fruit and squash. I always felt full and the food didn't seem to ever digest fully. I'm glad to come back to carnivore and intermittent fasting so that I can have my flat belly again. I have dairy intolerence and possibly allergy because it sometimes flares up hives and eczema. Otherwise, I'd be a happy carnivore with my milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt. I'm experimenting with allergy desensitization by putting a dab of dairy yogurt in my mouth every day. I read that 80 percent of the time, you can reverse food allergies through desensitization with mini doses and increasing over time.
Beef, mainly in the form of ribeye steaks, brisket and chuck roast. Pork, usually as bacon and occasionally as pork shoulder. Eggs, Butter and cheese. Finally, yogurt and a rare apple with honey (apples and honey I enjoy and they never bother me in any way).
Ribeye,80/20 grass fed burgers on the grill with sharp cheese, eggs, and bacon. Since summer time is coming i will be smoking brisket and pork shoulders. Keep up the great work big Shawn.
What are your thoughts on pork ribs, chicken wings? Also have you tested your arterial plaque or run other tests regarding the health of your major organs/ arteries? It would be helpful to see a visual of plaque buildup before you started carnivore and now after 7.5 years including other health markers. Have you been testing yourself annually throughout this journey? Thanks 😊
Breakfast is thin sliced ribeye air fried or NY strip with a side of bacon, chicken strips dipped in ghee, or air fried crispy pork chops topped with cream cheese and everything but bagel seasoning. I keep it simple and yummy.
Sounds good to me. But i add braunschweiger occasionally. Shrooms, garlic, artichoke, olives, & wondering if fudge will work as well as oreos for lowering cholesterol. Using OMAD, i no longer crave the fudge like i used to, but am able to eat a small amount after meals instead of eating it till i pass out.
I currently love ground lamb (so fatty, yummy), lamb chops, slow cooked chuck roast, ribeye & filet, pastured pork roast, bacon, pork belly, sardines, wild caught salmon and some ghee, as dairy doesn't agree with me. I also love calf liver, which I have in small amounts a couple times a month. 🙂
My "version" of carnivore... journey began 09/09/23, 3-4 eggs with 4-5 pieces of bacon and/or sausage for breakfast. Minimum of 3/4lb ground beef for lunch (meatloaf, burger patties, or just mildly seasoned pan cooked). 16-20 oz ribeye for dinner. Occasional chicken legs, chicken thighs, smoked pork shoulder, beef ribs, dairy, and I even occasionally will eat a spoon of 100% peanuts peanut butter or even a piece of high quality dark chocolate 😮. 43 years old and have never felt better!
Personally I love all meat, Age dry beef ribs, Age Dry Pork chops are to die for, Wild caught sock eye salmon is awesome, love lamb and chicken with the skin on and pasture raise eggs which I try to have 4 a day and the old favorite bacon 😎
Milk is crack and inflammatory for many... Replace with fatty red meat and you wont crave the sugar dopamine hit so much and your body's optimal weight will work itself out... If you want to put on lean muscle then do some high intensity exercise a couple of times a week... GL

Interesting question (also beware of microplastics). For less amount of mercury, I would choose smaller fish. I used to love tuna (still do) but I have another option called "Melva" in my country (Spain) which is cheaper and similar but smaller, so the amount of mercury is not comparable to tuna (which contains much more mercury). Salmon is another problem because most of it is farm raised. If you want wild salmon be prepared to pay a lot for it (at least in Spain).
Choose Sardines in water. Along with fatty grass fed beef sardines will fill you up. As far as mercury or plastics it is the least likely to have traces of mercury. But again buy sardines in water not seed oils. Sardines and eggs are a winner.
I would suggest that when you are eating 2 pounds and more of beef a day you are getting the nutrients you need in sufficient amounts. Animal organs have concentrated levels of some nutrients for people who are malnourished in those nutrients. If plants can be medicine why can't organs?
If I could afford it I’d be straight beef and eggs. Especially tri tip and flatiron steak. Unfortunately like many other people I have to sacrifice and buy chicken and pork because it’s only a fraction of the cost. I like chicken and pork but I don’t feel nearly as good as when I eat beef

I'm not carnivore but have drastically cut carbs and sugar. I feel awesome at 53.
Carbs and and sugar are our killers.
I love how short these vids are. Simple and to the point.
Cheeseburgers (no bun of course), eggs over easy, egg salad, shrimp, pork steak, chicken wings
Chicken wings overlooked ash
Our Dr.Shawn bounces around like a second grader at show-and-tell. Cute, so cute. Makes me smile. Meat on, big guy.
1. Beef-100% grass fed ribeyes
2. Eggs-local pasture raised
3. Bacon-uncured sugar free
4. Salmon-really not much since my wife doesn't really like it
5. Chicken-to me, just nasty, but wife likes.
We have both lost 30 pounds on Ketoivore since January.
Ground beef and lamb, beef and bison steaks, beef roast, lamb loin, eggs - chicken and duck, pork chops, pork tenderloin, bacon, occasional salmon and shrimp, pork rinds, butter, plain Greek yogurt, water and sparkling water.
Day 5... nothing to report, had a rest day today.
@ebnee573 😭 Beef is banned here. Lamb is only option but it is stupidly expensive. My way of getting fat is mostly dairy
@Ricatonniisasavage8854 There is but she only comes once a week and drops off around 50ish eggs. I eat about 13 a day on average so that doesn't last long I'll have to figure something out with my dad.
1. Steak ( mainly ribeye, wife likes NY Strip)
2. Eggs
3. Pork
4. Fish that we catch
5. Venison that we hunt. We are limited on how many deer we can harvest, so it is usually a side dish to last longer before the next hunting season. Typically, we mix it with a pork shoulder to increase fat content.
Same here. Ribeye always best but for some reason all women I know prefer strips and all guys like ribeyes.
Strips good but leaner and less flavor.
I am age 65 and a 5 year carnivore, started with your carnivore challenge in 2018
1. Beef - especially ribeye or chuck-eye
2. Eggs
3. Fatty fish like wild caught salmon
4. Chicken thighs very occasionally
5. Hard cheese occasionally
6. Grass Fed butter regularly
90% beef
I usually have eggs for my first meal along with bacon, sausage, or some ground beef. I also like to use cheese. My second meal will be steak or ground beef. I usually buy lamb once a week, and I do like to splurge on some seafood once in a while :-)
Tl;dr
1. Beef
2. Eggs
3. Lamb, bacon
4. Butter, cheese, ghee, yoghurt
5. Salmon, shrimp

I'm going to try pure carnivore on my next bulking phase with a variety of foods. Beef, eggs, pork, dairy, seafood. Interested to see how it goes.
It takes some people a while to get fat adapted. Once there you can simultaneously add muscle and get leaner. Your body will thank you!

Ribeye (daily). Chicken thighs (~5days). Eggs (3-4 days). Bacon (3-4 days). Salmon (2-3 days).
I'm only 11 days in so it's very early days. I still however have 1 x Actimel and 1x Costa coffee daily. I'm hoping this won't affect my health results too much. I have sore hip-flexor muscles which I hope will improve in time. I also woke up with a headache this morning, which isn't usual for me. I have also lost 7lbs - probably water weight I'm guessing. I'm eating bacon and 2 fried eggs for brunch and usually a rib-eye, or sirloin or lamb around 7pm.
I bought a red light therapy torch from LifePro and it has drastically reduced my pain/stiffness in my hip flexor (I’d say 80% improvement so far) in just 3 weeks.
Ty I'll look into a red light therapy. Glad it's helped you.@@MightyMeatyHealth
Steak t bone is my favorite
Eggs boiled is my favorite way.
Bacon medium cooked
Bison steak
Salmon sock eye
Butter often but I consider it as a condiment
Would like more specifics on the beef you chose in addition to ribeyes or if you only have ribeye
I do the same carnivore meats. However, after a year on strict carnivore I decided to add fruit and see if I could keep all my health gains while on low carb.
How’s your results been with Fruit and roughly how many Grams of Carbs (from Fruit) to you ingest?
4+ years and I’m still learning 😅🤣
Do what works for you, I’ve enjoyed reading your comments, just go Carnivore, then slowly add things back in over time. That way you’ll really be able to tell what makes you gain more weight, if it is fruit, then eat it minimally or not at all. Meat, Eggs, & Raw Dairy or Goats Milk is what I would recommend for you though no matter what.
@Ricatonniisasavage8854 thanks for your feedback!
Pretty much the same as mine. Although I do eat foie gras with dill pickles.
Beef, eggs, pork, chicken, dairy (maybe sardines 1 or 2 times a week)
Hopefully you're joking about using candy to lower your cholesterol 😂
Not one study shows a causative link between cholesterol and heart disease
Good deal man. Love the channel
Beef, eggs, Duck, Iguana and chicken. I enjoy liver but it's been too expensive so I rarely eat it anymore.
Beef, sometimes eggs and cheese and slated butter, and still not giving up the coffee (now decaf) with a drop of heavy cream (but soon to test).
Atlantic mackerel, baked!!! Such a great fatty and healthy fish, I highly recommend it.
Wow! You described my diet exactly.😅😅😅😅😅😅
Personally I love all meat, Age dry beef ribs, Age Dry Pork chops are to die for, Wild caught sock eye salmon is awesome, love lamb and chicken with the skin on and pasture raise eggs which I try to have 4 a day and the old favorite bacon 😎
I'm conflicted about the milk but as I'm pretty thin, I like chugging a glass of milk with 3 raw eggs to put on some weight
Milk is crack and inflammatory for many... Replace with fatty red meat and you wont crave the sugar dopamine hit so much and your body's optimal weight will work itself out... If you want to put on lean muscle then do some high intensity exercise a couple of times a week... GL
That shouldn't hurt you
Don't think milk is necessary past infancy tho
@@Jdub0126 What else can you use to drink something nasty as raw eggs and make it drinkable? Bone broth? Lol milk is smooth but I'm sure it's bad for the skin though.

Ground beef, flounder or Alaskan cod, eggs, chicken legs and thighs,Nathan's beef hotdogs, beef sausage link, beef bacon, ground lamb, onion, tomato,Reminds real salt and occasionally mustard. I like those non carnivore items as a small flavor garnish.

Hi Shawn, some months ago, you reported that you were adding some vegetables to your diet, to help with an injury that wasn't healing well. As someone who leans more towards a paleo or keto-type diet (mostly meat and dairy, but some vegs. and grains), I was curious: how did that work out? Are you still doing it? Maybe you could do a follow-up report? Thanks!
My top would be bacon, steak, hamburger, then eggs, some cheese, sometimes yogurt, a little chicken and seafood 🍤
Seems like I usually can't stick to the Carnivore Diet for more than a few days at a time, but when I do, it's definitely easier if I eat only beef.
That's because you gotta get over the sugar cravings and adapt to burning fat it could take 1 or 2 week
gotta have my tobasco and cayenne pepper!! Especially on eggs
Thanks Dr. Baker!! So I’m safe with Beef!! 😁🥩

Do you primarily do raw eggs? Or both raw and cooked? Thank you for your work!
A protein in egg whites blocks biotin absorption and is broken down by heat so don't eat that raw.
Crack it into your hand and let the whites (clear part) soak through fingers and then suck up the yolk in 1 bite

My Top 5: Beef is #1 and probably 85% and then eggs is about 10%. After that it's a very small amount of chicken, lamb and bacon.
especially a large ribeye steak!
TOMAHAWK! ... on my way!
I eat OMAD consisting of: BBBE with a little dairy (mostly butter, ghee, a little aged cheese, and Bulgarian yogurt) once in a while.

The Top Five carnivore foods are the five foods you can eat on carnivore.
I'm not on a strictly carnivore diet because I like to bake a lot (mostly bread but also sweet treats), but I eat pretty much a similar diet otherwise.
My top 5 would be: ribeye, eggs, bacon, lamb and then fish (mainly tarakihi, hoki, blue cod, tuna or salmon) in that order.
Bacon, eggs, butter, sardines, beef. Occasionally, I’ll have cream cheese.
The cow doesn't consist only of ribeye steaks.

Where you can you purchase fish that has no traces of mercury in it?
Interesting question (also beware of microplastics). For less amount of mercury, I would choose smaller fish. I used to love tuna (still do) but I have another option called "Melva" in my country (Spain) which is cheaper and similar but smaller, so the amount of mercury is not comparable to tuna (which contains much more mercury). Salmon is another problem because most of it is farm raised. If you want wild salmon be prepared to pay a lot for it (at least in Spain).
@@le_boucher ty 4 the feedback
Choose Sardines in water. Along with fatty grass fed beef sardines will fill you up. As far as mercury or plastics it is the least likely to have traces of mercury. But again buy sardines in water not seed oils. Sardines and eggs are a winner.

Chicken just doesn't sit well with me but I don't know why.
Do you ever get your nutrient levels checked?
I thought he was going to list 5 different cuts of steak 🤣
I would suggest that when you are eating 2 pounds and more of beef a day you are getting the nutrients you need in sufficient amounts. Animal organs have concentrated levels of some nutrients for people who are malnourished in those nutrients. If plants can be medicine why can't organs?
If I could afford it I’d be straight beef and eggs. Especially tri tip and flatiron steak. Unfortunately like many other people I have to sacrifice and buy chicken and pork because it’s only a fraction of the cost. I like chicken and pork but I don’t feel nearly as good as when I eat beef
