I'll be trying out some new gear this year -- stay tuned for more outdoor fun, and let me know if you'd like to see an "Optimistic Review" of anything you see me using. *Thanks for tuning in!*
Just got my Drammur setup for a backpacking trip in July, super excited to use it, just don’t know if I’ll have a chance to set it up before I go. I’m an experienced hammock camper, is this setup fairly easy to do?
@@ashwilliams6894 Setup is akin to other hammocks, so you should be alright ✌ A few pointers: - The overall footprint is a larger than a traditional hammock since it hangs perpendicular to the ridgeline. - Guylines and straps are tension-locking and colour coded, super easy to adjust. - Fill the sleeping pad to 80% capacity, to leave it some flexibility. Climbing in and out takes a little practice. I looked like a drunken chimp the first time. If you get an opportunity to set it up before your trip I would recommend it, but if not I'm sure you'll figure it out. Enjoy the adventure!
Great stuff, lots going on and have to admire your editing skills, am taking notes haha. Even getting in a specialist coffee mention which is fantastic. 😀👍
It's a discontinued Cabela's frame with some heavy modifications -- I've been meaning to make a video about it. Is there anything specific you're keen to know?

Knock wood, the forecast seems to be improving finally
I have been thinking that your videos have a severe lack of nerds in it. And there they are!
Nice hair too! Looks great on you!
Thanks, I grew it myself!

What brand is the backpack frame?
