Yes! I am traveling to Asia for 2 months coming up in 6 weeks. I am going to be visiting my wife's family and getting content to launch my channel. Currently going through Ranker Academy 2.0 and getting great tips! It's crazy that last year when I first had the idea of doing a travel Channel I watched them for inspiration and they only had around 10k followers at the time... wish I could have launched then, but have learned a lot of technical skills, launched a movie channel for fun and camera presence, and am now ready to go! Any more advice is always welcome!
I am traveling to Tamilnadu, the most populous South Indian State. For the hills, tea gardens, the beaches, the temples and the yummy South Indian food you can check my channel out. Will start posting my videos on 23rd Dec. I do my videos in Hindi but put the English Subtitles as well.
Im' a predominantly sports science & Fitness channel although I do interviews with up and coming athletes, coaches etc. as well as talks with established athletes like Eddie Hall.
Hey, I just wanted to let you guys know that it’s because of you guys that I gained 130,000 subscribers within the last year. Around Feb/March, I started watching your videos and taking heavy notes on what I should be doing differently with my channel. My channel had been stagnant for 3 years. But it’s finally growing (a lot!) and it’s all thanks to the information and tips you guys give in your videos. I can’t thank you enough!
I'm going to let my friends over in the UK and Canada know about you. You're channel subject matter is strong and can do a lot of good for people. Keep it going!
Great tips! I think it's important to emphasize that not every travel channel has to be a 'we quit our jobs to travel the world' travel channel. Our approach is to travel a 3-4 times per year and share our tips weekly. Additionally, doing local travel content is another great way to flesh things out. All options are possible for starting a new channel! 😀
Thank you. your comment is actually make me feel better and help. I feel like I'm stuck because as a mom I couldn't able to go everywhere or every time. I want to try my best with what I can do and no rush.
After 5 years of traveling solo, I decided to finally start my channel and since then, I've covered countries like Brazil, Portugal and looooots of Georgia (covid 19). I currently have 48 videos uploaded and 347 subs!
Awesome job! It wasn’t until my 25th country that I finally pulled the trigger and started! Bummer I have no content on those previous countries, but best of luck to you!
@@lukasz4505 Thanks so much! You have to start somewhere! And even though we've pulled the trigger a little late, there's still so much to see and create! Thanks so much, Lukasz! :-) Best of luck to you too!
“Traveling requires sacrifices” been doing travel vlogs for almost a year now and planning to leave my corporate job to travel full time. I hope I can overcome this fear. Thanks for all the tips ☺️❤️
Thats fantastic! Ive been on the road almost a year, and many previous trips but ive also just started UA-cam travel vlogging. I think the thing i want the most is going to be a DJI Microphone =)
#1 The tip given by every successful channel! #2 Got my gap! #3 I was working hard at first but got discouraged because it seemed everyone was saying you can't actually make money from UA-cam. Recently I found that if I work at it, UA-cam can get me the money I need to survive. #4 My channel is about encouraging people to analyze their own situation by explaining how I am analyzing mine. The niche is growing and processing your own food when you don't live near traditional agricultural areas. I have 129 video and 394 subscribers. #5 I'm cheap to keep! That's why, when I saw some videos explaining just how much people made directly off UA-cam, I realized it could work for me.
Great insights in this video! We have uploaded about 70 videos at this point, and have grown from just 300 subs to over 9,500 subs this year. The advice on being relentless is a big part of our success, so I totally agree. Watching the advice on this channel has helped as our thumbnails and titles have improved a lot!
I love sharing my travel ventures with my family. I just started recording and sharing them this year. I've done Shanghai China, Alaska, Cuba, Seattle and Thailand. I wish I would have recorded others I've been on in previous years. Going forward, I won't miss documenting anymore trips. I'm getting better as well with editing. Thanks so much for these great tips. I so love traveling to new places.
Great video, Sean and Jen! One suggestion I have for travel channels is to try to incorporate locals whenever possible. I've watched a lot of travel channels the past few years and after a while a lot of them wind up blending together because they approach places from the same visitor's POV. Bringing in a local also helps add some credibility because at the end of the day, even the most experienced travel can't be an expert on every aspect of every place. Keep up the good work!
I am a travel content creator on YT. I have uploaded about 40 videos but my numbers are not growing as much. I came to this channel to figure out what i am doing wrong and how can i make better content. Thanks to you guys i am definitely gonna implement these tips to create better content for viewers 🙂
Great Tips! I started my travel youtube channel 1.5 years ago, and at this point, I feel my editing has improved a lot, compared to when I first started. I currently have 265 subscribers and hope to keep growing. It's motivating to listen to influencers like Jen, gives an emotional boost to keep going. Thanks for the tips!
I’ve uploaded over 107 videos, I’m a military / travel channel. I make videos helping people who want to join the military or are in the military. I also make travel videos, documenting my life when I’m able to take leave

Thanks for the tips! Would love to hear more about how you earn money while traveling (sponsors?). My UA-cam travel channel has 9 million views and here are two things I've learned. First, you never stop learning! I'm an older UA-camr and only in the past few weeks did I start editing my own videos (you can teach an old dog new tricks!). Second, don't be discouraged if your travel videos don't gain an audience right off the bat. Many of my successful videos took 6 to 12 months to take off, sometimes even longer. Be patient!
Thanks for the great tips! Our niche is travel. It's always been about travel to some degree but it took us until this year to fully niche down to travel and we are continuing to evolve. We have uploaded over 700 videos since 2014. Our challenge is keeping enough interesting, informative and engaging travel content while still working full time outside the home (and outside of UA-cam).

I like the idea about forgetting about all the external voices and actually start having tunnel vision. The only person that in the end has to stick to it and believe in it is YOU!
Great advice Jen. Coming up to 3 years on YT, speaking about making travel a safer, smarter way to travel and haven't made a 1K subs. But as you said... Keep moving forward!!
I have a travel/ vanlife channel. I think I'm up near 30-40 videos. They are getting better, I think lol but it is a huge learning curve. But you know what? It is fun! I'm restricted healthwise from doing too much walking, climbing, etc but I find a little at a time works great. It has taught me to slow down, enjoy the drive, (So far only Canada), and learn about local history of towns. My disability pension amount slows me down as well lol. But ya, I keep watching and listening and learning about doing UA-cam vids. Thanks for all of your input. Very helpful! 😊
I've decided to make a travel channel about this area. But I've not made a single video yet.... but I am starting to understand the travel video thing which is certainly different than many other niches.
My wife and I started our channel two years ago after we traveled to Italy. I watched many of your videos for tips before starting are channel. We have the watch hours but are struggling at just under half way to our first 1k subscribers. I recently ordered my first camera to step up from the cell phone and Gopro and also my first drone to get those cinematic shots. Really hoping to bring our videos to that next level for our viewers this year. You both gave me some really good points for me to think on as well. Thanks for the great tips you bring, much appreciated.
I have 33 videos as of today and most of my videos is all about river and falls found here in our island sibuyan romblon Philippines. I hope I can also travel as you do Jen. Thanks for sharing.

Love the tips especially the "Make it about the viewers" part. I believe that we are providing our viewers what they need to know that's why they supported and followed us. More POWER Video Influencers and IntAffair .
I have a channel already. It's for the coupon community. I have traveled to the peten region of Guatemala in April of this year and loved recording it. I did 12 days in the jungle trekking to the Mayan temples. Loved every bit of it and did it with my kids. Now I want to start another channel but do traveling with my kids. Just to show people that they can travel with kids outside the country on a budget. 2020 my goal is to go to Egypt.
Yes, I really appreciated her input. I started a new travel channel a few months ago (only 50 subscribers) but it's people like this who give me inspiration. I had hoped to spend the winter in Asia, but because of the pandemic I will travel within Canada. I left Toronto in August, spending 2 months in Montreal and will travel to Victoria B.C. in November and spend the winter. I will keep creating new videos and hope to improve.
I’m getting the hang on the cameras, and I really want to travel the world, and vlog about it as well make my first UA-cam video, and so far this is a great tip for me, still looking for people that are willing to travel
This video shows making quality content will ALWAYS stay relevant! Thank you for this. This gave me some things to think about for our channel and I couldnt' be more excited to implement them more than I already do!.
Awesome video! It’s always exciting to learn new things with every video! I find myself, as I continue this youtube journey, to curate more towards people and show them lesser known places! With that said, my idea is to show people lesser known places that you just don’t have many videos on! Everyone goes to Paris, Bangkok but I’m trying to differentiate by showing lesser known places!
Benji and Travis kindly tell me what was the name of this video on the day when you drop it? I need to know because when I saved it on watch later last week Friday the subject was different. I would like to have a reply. Kindly continue a great job with your channel. Thank you.
I've uploaded about 10 videos reviewing new films. Just started but I feel pretty good with a background in film and video production as well as currently a full time Graphic Designer so it feels like home for me.Success doesn't happen over night so I agree that it takes a lot of work, you really have to want it to make your videos engaging, informative and to just have fun doing them like i do.
Thank you. Enjoyed the tips and will keep going with our journey. Were still very new, fresh and on the big learning curve of editing and what our niche might be. Hopefully it will all click soon. These videos definitely help. Cheers🍹
What I'm most curious about with a travel channel: Business Expenses and Taxes. I'm looking to add some restaurant reviews in the future abroad, but how can you make it work with expenses as a youtuber?
@@nickcicione8455 I always contact the owner ahead of time out of respect if I can. At the very least, I ask for permission to film the day of but it's rough if you think to yourself "I'm going to X restaurant today and filming a food vlog!" Then go to said restaurant and get turned down to film anything.

I've uploaded about 7 videos and I'm focusing on backpack travel. My focus is trying to find humorous moments and showing experiences.
Love the tips especially the "Make it about the viewers" part. I believe that we are providing our viewers what they need to know that's why they supported and followed us. More POWER Video Influencers and IntAffair .
Do not listen to the external voices! Best advice I've heard yet. Thank you so much for these helpful tips I will be implementing what you said.😊
That is what I am going for, so knew I had to watch it as soon as I saw the upload.
Ho Angelita my dream is to become a UA-camr blogger travel what you recommend me to do?
Thank you for this Tips.
This is an amazing sceneries with awesome information. great idea and stuff.
Thanks for the pointers.
Thanks Jen for adding value to Influencers community. Appreciate you!
Thats a quick and straightforward questions on what i was actually searching for 😯👍🏻 Thank you ✌🏻✌🏻
nice to hear about tricks for making it! I have a travel channel that I'm getting underway in Vietnam!
Benji and Sean this is a really nice platform that you got here and I look forward to seeing more videos on your channel!
Thanks for the tips! I have a new-found appreciation for the effort it takes to make and edit quality videos.
So do I. Wow! It takes time and patience.
Waooo amazing interview

I have a small yt travel channel. I'll travel to Philippines in Jan. Great video. Thank you for this great tips! Cheers 🍻
Travelling the world full time right now! So exciting, loved this vid! Well done
Just subbed!
I only have one video, and it is for beginning rock climbers. I gave up for a bit, but I want to go back and finish what I started.
Great video! Thanks for sharing 💕✨
I was thinking the same thing.
Would you go into a restaurant go up to the owner and ask, or just go in start recording and review?
@@nickcicione8455 I always contact the owner ahead of time out of respect if I can. At the very least, I ask for permission to film the day of but it's rough if you think to yourself "I'm going to X restaurant today and filming a food vlog!"
Then go to said restaurant and get turned down to film anything.
thanks for the tips and advices!! currently building my travel vlog as well..
me too few months ago .
M gonna take traveling as my full time once I finished my 12
86 video and it’s outdoors! Still trying to figure UA-cam out that’s why I’m watching!
Getting some great advice 🤙🏻
