Abbie's anxiety meds stay in your system for like a few days after not taking them if she regularly takes them.Your mug was from Isiah he got it for you after you said you didn't want it.Congratulations on the new car !❤️
It depends on the dosage
Low dose Hydroxyzine only has effects for a few hours despite staying in your system. Yep, that’s the mug story! It’s honestly my favorite mug though.
You're right, but half life also depends on dosage. The ones I take (and the antidepressants) are a few days, up to a week, but other can be hours.
@@fatheringautism I’m on the same meds for anxiety as Abbie and they’re working great for me. I usually only have to take it once a day, but I can take it twice if need be. Thankfully I don't normally have to. I've said this 1,000 times, but Abbie’s laugh is the best ❤
Just an FYI or something to watch. That med has antihistamine and taking it for too long can cause RLS. (Restless Leg Syndrome) It happened to me with a different med that has an antihistamine. There have been several studies that show long term use of antihistamines is linked to RLS. I see a neurologist for the RLS and he confirmed it’s from long term antihistamine use. (Was on it for 3 years) My point is, give that med sparingly. RLS is a nightmare! If I knew then what I know now, I never would have taken any meds with antihistamine including Benadryl. I wish someone told me.

Abbie said, this is the best just-because present ever mom!!! ❤️❤️❤️. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a beautiful thing. My grandad had at least 4 that I can remember growing up. He had the ones with the wood panels in the outside. So this car brings me wonderful memories of time spent with him in those Jeeps.

Meds stay in your system so one day without is okay. Just don’t to it multiple days in a row. I know if I miss multiple days in a row I’m in trouble.
But you still need to do it…. Anxiety is bad… I agree with Priscilla… it’s hard

I have noise and crowd anxiety and I don't take medication. I just know how to deal with it. I just walk away and when I know I feel it's coming then I just leave that situation but for her she probably needs her medication every day and of course, certain situations trigger it.
You could take an as needed anxiety med, that's what I have for when I get overwhelmed and start to feel that in my chest. It kicks in quick, like 10 or 15 mins! Its a game changer.
An as needed medication to control your anxiety may help you. Propranolol I'm sure I spelled that wrong is a beta blocker. It is prescribed as an anxiety medication for actors and musicians who struggle with performance anxiety.

Anxiety meds can still be in your system at a level if you miss a day's dose. She had some medication in her system. Don't fix what ain't broke. She does better because her medication is working.

Day 4 of Covid quarantine: doing well. My nose isn’t stuffy any more, cough is improving. All in all my symptoms are mild. I’m just bored… except for about 13 and a half minutes in the afternoon. 😊

Abigail is a whole different child since being homeschooled with dad.
I have no idea what her experience was at school....but I sure know that whatever is happening now....is a whole lot better.
We’ve been noticing that too. I don’t think anything was necessarily bad or problematic at school but she is certainly a happier person.

Zoloft
I took Zoloft when I was younger. It worked well! I also took hydroxyzine because I would spend the night at my friend's house who had fleas from their cat and when I'd wear socks, the fleas would eat me up like crazy (mosquitoes too, it's just my blood lol)! 🦟🩸I'm a scratcher so when I get a bug bite or anything I scratch a lot! Long story short, I asked the doctor if there's anything to help because I'd scratch and they would never heal and he gave me hydroxyzine. He said it's for anxiety but helps with scratching, picking, etc too. It made me kinda sleepy, but it did help!! And now that I'm older, around 40, I have 8 cats and ZERO fleas in our house lol!

congrats on the new vehicle! looks gorg. is there a reason why abb sounded so angry at first when you showed her yalls new car? maybe she wasn't mad or annoyed but the sounds, grunts & yells just sounded angry, like almost the exact same sounds she used to make years ago, right before she'd go into a meltdown or tantrum. I couldn't figure out what the reasoning might be🤔 There really wasn't much of any stimuli to bother her, no loud or annoying noices, no tasks or chores for her to do etc. just can't figure it out! Maybe it's because she doesn't like change? Even though it's a brand new, nice car, maybe in her head she was just mad because of the fact that it was new? That's about the only thing I can think of. But I suppose if thats why, that it does kinda make sense. Hopefully she gets used to it and I know she'll grow to LOVE it.🥰 After she got inside it she seemed just fine and dandy! 😊 Oh and Priscilla gettin jiggy to that song in the car made me so happy to see 🤣😊

I know with my son with his anxity med we had to ween him off cuz it can have side affects but he's been off for long time and he's doing great. He is happy now he knows how to control his anxity.
