Nice job Fray! Thanks for doing more than your part of cleaning up the river and picking up after the slobs! I wish we didn't have to deal with them, but it's refreshing seeing young men like yourself with great ethics and doing the right thing. Peace!
You're a great fisherman. Those are some beautiful Chinooks. I'd say you had a great day. I think about these bobbers down videos when I'm out fishing. I've been trying out some bobber fishing but no luck yet.
Heading up tomorrow after work. Trying my hand at Kings for the first time with a buddy who is also a beginner. Thanks for the content so close to home!
I live in California Sacramento, I’ve been trying to catch salmon for the longest time and never had any success. Watching your videos and seeing how many big salmons your catching is giving me motivation to keep going until I catch my first salmon. Thanks for your great videos!
crazy good video, seems like you had a good weekend fishing, we went up north and between the 4 of us landed well over 80 fish, alot of hens too more then bucks
Yeah Fray! nice video, I like the conservation pieces you throw in there, good job. I'm from B.C. and were coming down for a 4 day camping trip and fish. any idea on where to get cured skein? we are flying into Grand Rapids and then heading to holland before going up north to the rivers October 2nd. lmk! thanks dude
Blows my mind seeing people throw those troubles I've seen multiple groups this year up in the no fishing zone using them. Nice video & Awesome catches! Have you ever froze skein before curing or do you have to cure it first?
Hey man, love the content! You and Danny Colville were a huge inspiration for me getting a pin, you especially - we fish a lot of the same tribs, I'm in SE Michigan. Do you ever use your pin for other fishing? Where I'm at is near some prime walleye territory and I've tried taking my pin out to fish for them but havent had any luck yet, so I'm starting to wonder if I should just stick to salmon and steelhead. Keep up the awesome videos, if you're ever fishing the Clinton River down near Warren MI maybe we'll run into one another!
Hey Frey...good job as always.. I read your message on going fishing..and its only family and friends only..I got it.. I thought Fishing was a way of making friends
Short and sweet. Good stuff. Thanks for cleaning up after the slobs. I just don’t get that people are like that but I still believe that there are more good than bad people out there. Keep at it and hope that school is going well For you this year.
It’s so refreshing to hear somebody else believe that they will Chase and bite a spinner, I am told all the time you use a spinner for salmon so you must be snagging them, not the case at all! From west Michigan, love your vids
Nice to see somebody else likes to pick up trash too bro! We shouldn't have to do it! Those are the people that say somebody else will pick up the trash! Way to go Frey 🤙
Can’t believe people trash our beautiful tributaries I always clean up glad to see you help out as well I’m looking forward to my salmon trip and using centerpin for first time hope I’m successful
More videos!!! How do you cure your skein? I did my first batch with procure redd hot-they look good but am wondering if lake Michigan fish have a taste for krill, or a hot egg or something
Stellar capture vid! Good angles & nice up-close shots. Taking great up-close pics & vids is essential. Had some of my pics in a travel guide representing tourism for a state. Looking at fish up close with good resolution just makes it even better for memories or appreciation of the fish! Using a flash makes a big difference! So, carry a digital camera for single shots...Go Pros are cool, but snaps of those fish if you have a bud with you will improve your channel by using them. Fish Awn!! ZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZzzz...
Last year I was camping at the Platte River state park, a couple of guys got arrested for assaulting a DNR officer after they got ticketed for snagging at the weir and within the ropes after dark. Dumbasses were defiant till the end but it’s tough to change the minds of people who think the rules don’t apply to them. Kudos to Fray for continuing to generate awareness. Wish the DNR would increase the fines for snagging and littering to something that is meaningful….
10 grand? Damn where do you live for it to be that much? I live on the Washougal river in skamania county and this is where 99% of Michigan salmon and steelhead come from "originally" And I've never seen a snagging ticket over $600. Some of our rivers it has been completely legal at certain times of the year To keep fished hooked in the Gill plate forward
Its pretty amazing (in a bad way) how many people leave trash, and generally abuse the rivers and fish that they are "enjoying". It just doesn't make sense. One of the common sense things that has been beaten into people's heads for millennia is "don't shit where you eat." But people have lost that somewhere.
I've been putting off heading up north everyone i talk to says the bite is almost non existent with the little rain that they haven't gotten is it to late to go up i want to bring my wife
Nice job Fray! Thanks for doing more than your part of cleaning up the river and picking up after the slobs! I wish we didn't have to deal with them, but it's refreshing seeing young men like yourself with great ethics and doing the right thing. Peace!
I hope I can influence others to do the same, thanks !
Your message is so spot on every time! I’m sure you take a bunch of heat for it in the comments, but I appreciate it brother! God bless
You're a great fisherman. Those are some beautiful Chinooks. I'd say you had a great day. I think about these bobbers down videos when I'm out fishing. I've been trying out some bobber fishing but no luck yet.
This was a great day for sure. Good luck!
Watching the pure joy on your face as you land those fish is awesome! You are one of the good guys! Hope you have a great season!
I appreciate it, thanks, you too!
Heading up tomorrow after work. Trying my hand at Kings for the first time with a buddy who is also a beginner. Thanks for the content so close to home!
Nice , good luck!
Very nice Fray!!!! Looking forward to fall and cooler outside air temps.
Me too, can't wait
Bro I'm soo excited for salmon skien fishing you've inspired me to centerpin here on the northwest coast I'm about to try after work today
Good luck and tight lines!
Good luck!

That's awesome, good luck!
keep trying man. you'll get one . it's hard work. if you have a river with a good current I'd suggest plunking a spin n glo .
Pour moi c'est la plus belle pêche du monde 👍👍👍 Magnifique
Love the videos man. Can’t wait for when I get the chance to do this myself!
Love the bobber downs. I wonder if you could set up an under water camera to try to get the eats on camera in super clear water.
I'm working on something like that. It won't be easy..
That would be next level awesome. Teach a hell of a lot about how a salmon takes too!
yesss fray this is the regularity of videos we want to see! awesome job brother!
I'm trying my best, thanks !
Your videos are so well done man. The work you put into them does not go unnoticed!
Thanks !!
Production quality on these are getting really nice. Way to go and tight lines.
Thanks !!
Awesome video Fray!
Can’t wait to fish with you some time
You're entirely too casual about catching the kind/size of fish I've not been able to. ; )
Good vids.
I've been very lucky this year! And im very grateful for it.
crazy good video, seems like you had a good weekend fishing, we went up north and between the 4 of us landed well over 80 fish, alot of hens too more then bucks
Sounds like an epic weekend!
you had me at "pick up your trash!"

I live between GR and Holland so if you shoot me an email at fishingvibes1@gmail.com I can try to get you some
Awesome video and a good day definitely miss the river fishing. Always enjoy float fishing for kings. Congrats and some good looking fish
Thanks !
Videos like this make me want to move to Michigan.
It is a great place to live !

I think they are everywhere that big fish run
Thank you for the videos! Your dedication and morals are awesome dude
Thanks for watching!
Great video Fray, Keep up the good work!
Thanks !
Thanks Fray, nice job.
Blows my mind seeing people throw those troubles I've seen multiple groups this year up in the no fishing zone using them. Nice video & Awesome catches! Have you ever froze skein before curing or do you have to cure it first?
Cure it first. Then freeze it.
I always cure first. I'm not sure how it would work if you cured thawed skein.
@@FishFray They turn to mush if you freeze first, then try to cure. The cell wall ruptures
@@R_an_D my skein was frozen first and was totally fine if you do it right! It’s not how you want to but I had it saved for me!

Making me want to head to Michigan now
Wow. Awesome video. I can't seem to find what river you are on.
I fish all over west Michigan in the salmon videos , several different rivers
Nice video and thanks for sharing. Question, do you float the eggs just off bottom or let it drift/bounce at the bottom?
I float them a foot or two up off the bottom
@@FishFray Thanks.
Savage. Well done man
Great post. I feel Tippy Dam in my immediate future lol!
Hey Frey...good job as always.. I read your message on going fishing..and its only family and friends only..I got it.. I thought
Fishing was a way of making friends
Love your videos brother!! I haven’t been up for 3 years but I’m heading back! Great message about litter and snagging! Keep it up
Awesome, good luck!

People who don't believe it have never tried it!
Awesome like usual buddy
Another great vid man!
I'll watch later but headed to Wisconsin tomorrow hope to get on some
Good luck!
Great video!
Thanks!
Found a coupla them stingray hooks this season too😂🤦🏼♂️ Good vid as always
Way too many around..
Nice video fray!!
Amazing big fish, nice video

Cool video fray
Heck of a day
Great fish man
Hell yea went last week to the pm they fought till damn near death but it was a blast
Most we hooked in to where 35 inches an above an lost most bc they ran. Forever but we got sum hogs
Good on you for picking up the cans. I do the same thing, though it would be nice if I didn't have to 🤷🤷🤷
Someone has to do it..
Awesome video man! I appreciate your love for fishing as well as your dedication for filming! Do you use a drone for filming?
I have a mavic pro drone that I use occasionally
More videos!!! How do you cure your skein? I did my first batch with procure redd hot-they look good but am wondering if lake Michigan fish have a taste for krill, or a hot egg or something
Check out my video from earlier this fall - I usually just use pautzke borxofire
What’s your go to Arctic spinner color for kings?
All chartreuse
Fray- have you targeted browns behind the kings? I heard there are some monster browns being caught this year…
Helllll yeah !!!! Been waiting !!! 🔥🔥
Great job 🎉
Great vid fray, go bulldogs🤝
💪💪
Air nya jernih.. Bagaimana caranya kalau mau mancing di lokasi tersebut.. Ok mantap juga tarikannya. Salam strike dari Bandung Indonesia.

Good advice!
Those weighted hooks are ridiculous. Just got to tell dnr. Do you typically use the same skein or change it up?
Skein and spinners are the two things I use almost all the time for salmon now
What size hoop is your net 20x20?
No idea, but prob close to that yes.
@@FishFray got it thanks!
Jeez, those are anchors for a tin 9.9 at the end....
Ha, lol
Do they fin clip stocked fish up by you? I've seen a lot of your fish with intact adipose fins.
A lot of Great Lakes fish are naturalized
There’s a lot of wild salmon in the Northern streams.
I don't believe we do any fin clips on our kings
We do still clip most king salmon that’s stocked in Mi. There are some plants that are not clipped but less than 20% is what I can remember.
Thanks gents!
You should do a under water bite just to see how many fish are holding or not biting
I am working on that!
Is there anyway to contact you. I have questions about a local spot that I don't want to blowout here.

Are you still guiding
No I am not
I was on the Platte yesterday and two idiots were doing everything you just discussed.

Way to address trash and snagging as much as you are, and showing it.
Is snagging even legal where you are? Where I am that's a 10 thousand dollar fine
Those weighted treble hooks are illegal and you can be fined and possibly have your license taken away.
It's illegal but the fine is nothing near that

chrome...lol more like rusted chrome
Half chrome? Hmmm…low warm water with very little oxygen. Pretty rough condition….for the FISH…. Be careful with your fishery.
