I cleaned the hell out of it! Wiped it down with Acetone. It held it pretty well. I haven't looked at yet this year. I'll probably do a better follow up video in a couple weeks than I did last year.
@@ScottsChaos ok, im looking too do my ski boat and ill probably have too tear the carpet out, sand the gunk off, and then lay the stuff down. a follow up would be great
I'm pretty sure I tried that the first time I put the eva in. I probably had some really bad product. The spray adhesive I used stuck pretty good. The adhesive on the eva was separating from the eva it self.
I thought about sanding the deck smooth and gel coating it black and then laying in some eva. Oh the work that would have been. Obviously, I decided against it.
So far so good. Albeit, the boat sat outside this winter with a cover on it. I am pretty sure some water still found it's way in there though. When I pull the cover off I'll do a quick video on the status of the flooring. Good or bad. Keep an eye out for that one.
Not a problem at all. I figure you took time out of your day to watch my video and comment. The least I can do is reply. Thank you for checking out the video.
It did great! Keep in mind that it's wood covered in fiberglass. I've only had it on there one season. Pretty soon I'll be getting the boat ready for this season so I will know how it did through the winter. I'll do a follow-up video when I uncover the boat. Thank you for watching.
Hi bud, I am replacing my old marine ply floor with new marine ply, then Seadek on top. Can tell me if I need to seal the new ply before the seadek? Thanks for any help and advice.
The good Ol' floor replacement eh. I've been there on another project. Lots of work but well worth it. As for your question. If it were me. I would lay down a layer of 1708 fiberglass mat and resin even though you are using marine plywood. That would definitely seal it. I've never just laid seadek over bare plywood or marine plywood. Which is just treated plywood. Marine plywood is going to get more longevity but not as long as glassed over plywood. You will also want to put some resin on the underside of the plywood to waterproof it. However, if you feel that marine plywood is going to do what you need, I don't see any reason that you would have to seal it before laying down the seadek. I hope this helps.
Hey man! Just saw your comment but for some reason, it disappeared. That's hilarious we used the same carpet! How has yours been holding up? I like the content!
It probably went to your held for review folder. I'll be honest. The first time I put down the flooring I used spray glue. It did exactly what yours did. I pulled it all off and did it again. This time, only using the adhesive on the back. It actually holds better.
@@ScottsChaos What is a troll?f It looked substandard! Nothing to do with you, the product looked cheap and I would guess you have found something better
@@crappienaterfishing1198 the product is inexpensive. However, it's still being used today. I actually made a follow up video on how well I believe it held up through the winter.
what did you do before you layed that stuff down? any prep work? hows it holding up?

I used the same on my tracker but added an extra adhesive just in case

I enameled the deck first then put the Eva on the enameled deck haven't had any lift issues.

How is this stuff holding up? Have yet to find a long term review.

How well did it stick to the wood floor?

@@ScottsChaos wow who would of thought! I like it
Quarter round would hide that unevenness brother
That's what I ended up using. PVC quarter round. I painted it black. I believe the video I did after this one has the quarter round in it.
You are pulling our leg
I'm not. I would never pull off someones appendage.
Is it slippery? When it gets wet?
Not slippery at all. It grips nicely.
Does it stain easy?
The Eva hasn't stained at all. I actually find it pretty easy to clean.
What you
Clean with ? Is it ok to pressure wash it ?
@@MrN0bady I just use Windex and water. I'm not sure about pressure washing it. It seems pretty durable but water pressure is brutal.
Should re glassed that deck the poors of the wood are exposed
It may appear that way in the video. However, I looked it over real good. There's actually quite a layer of glass on it. The deck is solid.
My god!!!
Badass isn't it?.
