I did my express cruiser back in 2020 still holding up great only 2 suggestions 1 always round your corners 2 before your final lay down & adhesion give it a spray of 3M heavy duty spray adhesive. Looks great mate!
great job mate. I'm doing my second boat shortly. I use Silkaflex 591 black, around all the seems, just for good measure, that water can not get underneath and start lifting the stickiness. Bit of extrawork though having to mask up the edges and then mask the floor. 3 or 4mm , Then when you peel off leaves a lovely finish.
Nice job. I think that looks great. An alternative installation approach could be to find the midline of the boat and place a panel there and then template out to starboard and port to complete. You might have an easier time of aligning the black lines that way? Let is know how it holds up.
Thank you for not glossing over the stenciling and measuring part. Too many videos speed through it and it's the most important part, good to see the actual speed of some of the difficult portions of boat. Came out great nice work. My only question is what about the screws you took out, wouldnt you want to seal them with something in case water seeps through?
Nice job. Just got a sea fox boat and looking to do this . Thinking of doing seating in the cuddy as well . Also they have a diamond pattern maybe for the dash.
If you give the boat a real good clean it will stick.I used degreaser and acetone to clean mine but mine is fibre glass. Just check on a small area on your boat just in case the acetone reacts.
The rolls were only 500mm wide so it would have made it difficult as the carpet was one large piece. Also, I wanted it to be a more accurate fit than the carpet was.
@@Eltsinoz I understand that you say that it already has it but that’s not a reality. What kind of stain resistant in water resistant treatment would you use to make it? Let’s say more water and stain resistant? Because reality is that stains do occur often.
Can’t believe y’all put carpet on offshore boats. The blood would be a nightmare. Not to mention all the damned snaps. Plan on putting the exact same foam on my twin vee. How has it held up thus far? You did a hell of a job.
I installed budget EVA. It lasted 2 years and started to lift up with glue failure. HUGE mistake. It has left a brown film that won't even pressure wash off at 3200 psi! Goo gone takes off the glue but leaves a brown stain. Ruined my non skid. Haven't found a solution yet and have tried several products
i install my brown and im not happy at all everytime when gets wet is a mess of paint from the eva foam look like brown dust when is dry everyting you bring aboard gets stain from it
Still looking good . None of it is coming unstuck. There is the odd mark on it but would put that down to wear and tear. I would say it was a success. I think good preparation is the key and wash it down after any fishing baits or blood etc get on it . Will maybe do another short video soon. Thanks for the comment.
Won't last. I fish almost every day and my boat is under cover when not used and this stuff only lasts 2 maybe 3 years in Florida. It's disintegrating away.

@@Murfdigidy the screws were just for studs that held down the old carpet. Just dabbed some silicone on them
Is it still holding up in your boat ? I’m planning to put it in my boat….
Well done! Looks great!

Definitely worth doing mate
Looks great man!
Hey mate thanks for the video - I’m about to do the same to my boat - gonna get the eBay Eva deck , would you still recommend? Cheers 👍🏽
Looks great, I like it!

Nice looking job mate, just wondering how its standing up to the test of time. I'm considering going the same way when I re do my floor

Hard to believe this was your first one! Great job, your well skilled! How’s it holding up?
Seems to be doing well so far.
Is that just a plastic drop cloth for paint that you’re using for template?
Slightly thicker than a drop cloth.Just bought a roll from local hardware store.
what is the material the boat deck is made out of? plastic? my boat deck is plastic and Im trying to figure out if this stuff will stick to it or not

Just wondering where did you buy the plastic roll thanks

Is this stuff waterproof does it let the water lay under it.
Yes it’s waterproof and doesn’t hold water.
Well done
Great job

Thought you might have removed the chair bases to make it a bit easier,

What do you use to make it resistant or proofing to water and stain?
It’s already water and stain resistant.

If it lasts that long I would be very happy.I still have the templates so I will just replace it. Thanks for watching.
That’s a good time frame for only 260 of material ..
EVA is not worth everything
